We were concerned that he was behind in phonics and math due to the decreased hearing. We started considering private schools, but due to our work schedules and distance to schools, we researching Total Tutoring and never looked back. Total Tutoring has been amazing!! Our son has developed so much in the year he has been tutored that we are confident he is kindergarten ready this fall! After every tutoring session, we receive a session report reviewing what was worked on and what needs work for the next session. The tutors are all certified, background checked, etc. They come to you, which makes it super convenient. I do not have to go to another business/building/shopping center. Actually, if you day care of after care allows it, the tutor can tutor your child at their location while you are still at work! Also amazing so it does not cut into dinner time, bed time, etc. They are an amazing resource! So much so that we decided to tutor our daughter who is in first grade. The tutors will work on homework if she has it that day. Kaitlin, the director, is very responsive and open to listening to any issues, concerns you have. She will work to find you the tutor that will fit your child's needs. Honestly, I do not think we could have made a better choice! We highly recommend Total Tutoring!

My daughter is 7 and has been receiving tutoring through Total Tutoring for several years. I…read morestarted my daughter young because I feel that her education is very important. At first the sessions were great! The tutors were effective and my daughter made a lot of progress in a short period of time. Honestly, I was very happy with the results of the tutoring sessions, and as a result, decided to have my daughter receive Spanish tutoring. I contacted Total Tutoring and organized for a spanish tutor to come to my house for weekly lessons. These sessions were scheduled for 30 minutes at the request of the tutor due to my daughters young age. The lessons began in September of last year, and as of today, she does not understand the phrase "Hola, como estas?". Needless to say her progress has been minimal. During the time my daughter has been receiving lessons from her tutor, Nannette Simmons, I noticed that she was consistently showing up late and leaving early which is discouraging considering the cost of each lesson. I contacted the agency to express my concerns and asked for a different tutor. I was told by Total Tutoring that they would try to find someone new to replace Nannette. Yesterday (December 2nd), the tutor again showed up late, so I decided to set a 30 minute timer. No surprise, the tutor was leaving early. I informed Nannette that should would no longer be tutoring my daughter and told her it was because she was consistently showing up late and leaving early. After each tutoring session we receive an email with a session summary; this is meant to highlight progress and address areas of weakness for my daughter to work on. I received the session report for the final summary and it was blank. I contacted Total Tutoring, cc'ing Nannette, expressing my opinion that this was unprofessional. I received an update session summary which was even more unprofessional!!! Nannette's updated session summary placed the blame entirely on my daughter!!! She took no responsibility for her actions. I responded to Total Tutoring again, extremely upset with the unprofessionalism shown by Nannette. Total Tutoring's reply was that they should have edited her comments before sending them to me. They took no responsibility for Nannette and did not acknowledge her unprofessionalism even knowing my frustration. They did not apologize for her comments, only stating I should not have seen them. Total Tutoring would get a higher review because they do have some good tutors, but customer service is key to me. I need professionalism and I need a good example for my daughter. I am active duty military and I have zero tolerance for adults who place blame everywhere but on themselves while taking no time for self-reflection. The images attached are images of the communications and session recaps as proof of this companies inability to remain professional.

I live near this center and decided to check it out. I called and scheduled an appointment. Orientation and the assessment were free as advertised, and administered by Ms. Diane who runs this location. She let me know where my son stood academically and made recommendations. She also informed me that registration was free for the upcoming month and that I should wait. I thought that was nice of her because that saved me money. I decided we wld enroll my son in the Reading program. Well fast forward present day, almost a month in and I am very pleased with our choice. It is well worth the monthly fee. The tutors are all friendly and accommodating and patient with the students. Each tutor only works w/ 1-2 students at a time. There's an actual lesson plan they follow and they seem serious about it. They even have a reward system just like school. I love that they reinforce the lessons with homework because it helps my son retain the info and also gives me the opportunity to see what he's working on and test his knowledge. It really seems to be working! $160 per subject, 30 min sessions twice a week... I've called other tutoring services & Kumon was most affordable. I say go for it...
