I Am Caribbeing is a must visit in The Little Caribbean. Authentic gifts from local vendors representing some incredible goodies from the Caribbean. I did some holiday shopping and secured some really thoughtful and special gifts that I cannot wait to give out. This is the perfect stop for all Brooklyn and Flatbush merch. The stores has clothing, jewelry, hot sauce, ornaments, books, skincare, so many options for everyone. Perfect for locals and visitors alike. Items are well priced with a good range for any and all gifts on your list. Shelley, the owner, is so kind and knowledgeable about the neighborhood. The store is thoughtfully curated and arranged. I cannot wait to head back soon!

We went on the Williamsburg tour and came away with a better understanding of the neighborhood,…read morelocal artisans and a new appreciation of 'hipsterville'. Dom is a great guide; knowledgable and personable with a good sense of humor. We have gone on walking and food tours previously and this is one of the best we've been on (and lowest in calorie count!). Dom focuses on the changing landscape of the neighborhood and the local manufacturing /arts movements in the area. We visited some local artisans that we NEVER would have discovered by ourselves and saw some really cool and unique items. Even though our tour only had 3 participants, Dom definitely did not skip on the tour itself as it lasted 4.5 hours. True, we ended at a local wine bar (where they grow the wine in upstate but put brooklyn artists' labels on the bottles) but it was a fantastic way to end as we were able to chat about what we saw, the neighborhood and what we saw. GO BOOK NOW!

What made this especially so fun is that I have lived here in the NYC and Brooklyn area for more than a decade yet still learned so much about the history, the arts, architecture, bridges, about small businesses and their local products, and more from the tour! Dom did a great job of getting us thinking and answering any questions we had. He was very thorough and his information was easy to follow. Plus he had a few little treats he snuck in along the way too which was a very nice touch. Would highly recommend Dom and his tours!

5++. I was visiting Crown Heights for the first time with my JMoms group from Chabad of MV. I came…read moreto Crown Heights with basically no knowledge of the history of Chabad or the Rebbe and why Crown Heights is such a special place. I was "just along for the ride". Starting our trip with Mayer and his tour was the perfect way to begin. It gave me the foundation of where we visiting to build off of the rest of the trip (it made along for the ride turn into a start to my own personal journey). Mayer is an open book and answered all questions no matter how basic. He made everyone on our tour feel comfortable and you can just tell by the way he explains everything that he really enjoys what he does! I have recommended this tour to all of my friends of all different walks of life!

The best walking tour that I have ever been on and I have been on quite a few. Quite remarkable. If…read moreyour interested in Chassidism, The Rebbe, Judaism or the Lubavitch this walking tour shows you the behind the scenes of it all. We saw the Levi Yotzchok Library (wow), the scribe and a whole wall of Torah's to be examined- writing of the blessing for the mezuzah, a Mikvah with a very beautiful description of the purpose and meaning, and of course the the world famous 770 synagogue which is the headquarters Chabad- lubavitch movement. It was something to see! The Lubavitcher Library was filled with priceless artifacts of all the Rebbes including Baal Shim Tov. Our guid was a Rabbi and not only talked about the sites but about Judaism and Chassidism philosophy. I can't recommend this tour enough - and so inexpensive! I can't wait to come back and do it again!

We have much respect for the Chassidic community. Everyone that we met was so warm and friendly. I was invited to wear tefillin at the main synagogue. I've never seen anyone do that at my temple, so I was unfamiliar with the practice. They were nice enough to let me use a set and they talked me through the blessings. I have since ordered my own set of tefillin from Israel and I am excited to use them. The falafel sandwich that I had for lunch was the best one I've ever had. My girlfriend said she hadn't had one that good since her Birthright Israel trip. The Chabad movement and the other Chassidic Jews are truly keeping Judaism alive, and I must tip my yarmulke to them. ;)

He "brings home" why some of the Jewish observances are so important. The tour gave so many of our observances MEANING. I learned so much! It's a great tour, seeing the scribes, the mikvah, and the matzoh factory -- but the heart and soul of the tour is Rabbi Beryl and his unique way of teaching. He makes everyone feel welcome and part of the tour -- not just an observer. I can't image anyone, Jewish or otherwise, not learning so much about the heart of Jewish New York from this tour. Enjoy, it may change your life -- It did mine!
