Great hotel. The staff was very very helpful and spoke English well. We were able to check in early and extend our stay an extra night. The room was spacious with a very large bathroom! We did not try the breakfast but I think it was 9€. read more

We stayed on the fourth floor, a very quiet room. Walk half a block to the left and you're at Opera National de Bordeaux. Rue de Sainte Catherine is nearby, as are all of the shopping and eating, from fancy to decently priced. Some might consider the rooms small, but having staying in Japanese business hotels, I'm used to small, though the HBEO's rooms are slightly larger. The room was very quiet, great for getting a good night's rest. There's a Nespresso in the room and you get two complementary pods and a bottle of water. Hotel staff, from the ladies at the front desk to housekeeping, were very friendly and knowledgeable. One of them even recommended a great running path for me which turned out to be a nice way to explore the city. There's no onsite parking, but the Grands Homme parking garage is a three minute walk.
