Anywhere from the time this store opened until a couple of years ago, I would have given this store 5 stars. In the last couple of years, they began moving stock locations frequently (weekly in many cases). I understand this is an industry trend, but as an employee owned franchise - they should take a stance and listen to the customers who are complaining.
Then the produce quality began deteriorating. In a single trip today, I experienced an entire display of completely mushy cucumbers, brown fruit and moldy garlic. I have recently returned three packaged items where the mold was concealed by packaging.
The staff who are bagging grocery almost refuse to utilize the insulated reusable bags that I provide - even when requested. I have had to repack my groceries in the parking lot for the last few months. I even spoke with a manager after I got home and my bread items were destroyed by being placed under canned goods!!! I got the feeling that I was perceived as annoying or a freak for calling.
The only reasons that I did not give 1 star were the 1)health market & 2)meat and seafood case. The staff who run the meat & seafood department have been there for years and continue to provide the 5 star service that they always have. They maintain quality, are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful on an every time basis.
I (like many others I have spoken with in the store) am considering taking my business elsewhere, but the competition is no better. Considering taking it out of town.
