Dr. Sharara is truly a master in his field, and I feel incredibly lucky that he was my first fertility doctor. I have heard from other people who started their fertility journey with different doctors and eventually changed doctors because they didn't feel comfortable with the way they were treated or didn't feel sufficiently supported. I am very grateful that I never had that experience. From the beginning, I felt respected, listened to, and cared for. Of course, medical knowledge and treatment are extremely important, but I personally believe that the human side matters just as much during a fertility journey. When you feel safe, supported, and confident in your doctor and your team, it can make such a difference emotionally. Constant worry and overthinking can make an already difficult journey even harder. Having a doctor who gives you hope and makes you feel that you are in good hands is priceless. Throughout my IVF journey, Dr. Sharara was always professional and supportive. He gave me recommendations about lifestyle, supplements, and different ways to improve my chances. We went through our first IVF cycle, and because I had diminished ovarian reserve, my body did not produce many eggs. In the end, we were able to have one frozen embryo. We later talked about a second cycle, and Dr. Sharara adjusted my medications and treatment approach to give me better chances. But then something truly amazing happened--I became pregnant naturally! When I shared the news with Dr. Sharara, I could see how genuinely happy he was for me. His nurses and staff were also incredibly happy and supportive. They made me feel like I was not just another patient, but part of a family. What I remember most about my experience is not only the medications, supplements, or medical treatment. It is the kindness, reassurance, and emotional support I received from Dr. Sharara and his entire team. During fertility treatment, those things matter tremendously. It is simple to get appointments and you are not waiting long to be called back. Every physician is great here. We've seen Dr Mills, Dr Allen, the midwives and Dr Brown. They are all on rotation and you must see each so whoever is on call can help. Dr Brown delivered for us and was amazing even in the delivery room. The nurse Trina is a riot and will be your BFF from the day you walk in to your follow up appointment. I cannot recommend this office and group of physicians enough. I am so thankful for the friend that told me about them as well. Even when I was in the hospital, I got to see Dr Allan and Dr Mills. They are all WONDERFUL.

I almost cried at my first consult because the doctor was so rude and wanted to shove me out the door. The second clinic I went to on LI was better, but I never saw my doctor and felt like the clinic just wanted my money. They didn't seem to care if I had success or not. I moved to VA in the summer 2017 and was extremely apprehensive about Shady Grove after having not so great experiences in NY. Thank goodness, I was beyond pleasantly surprised with the clinic and am currently undergoing IVF. Dr. Khan is very patient and to the point. He doesn't sugar coat anything, which is very refreshing. I never felt rushed or like I was being a pest by asking a ton of questions. The office staff is the BEST. They are all so considerate, especially my nurse Tracey. I truly feel like everyone genuinely cares about me. I never once felt like they were just after my money. The staff knows my name and I never felt like just a number. I never have to worry about my meds forgetting to be called in or the nurse not returning my calls or emails. The monitoring wait times are minimal. I am in and out very quickly. The most I have ever had to wait was about 20 minutes and that was rare. The financial department at SG is like night and day compared to NY. My financial assistant, Nancy, also returned my emails and calls within a day or so. Any minor billing problems I had with my insurance were always resolved quickly. Infertility is so stressful and this clinic made the process SO much easier. You also can't find the Shared Risk package of 6 rounds of IVF anywhere else...at least definitely not in NY. I love this clinic and would recommend it to anyone.

Me and my husband tried so much to reach a financial advisor but couldn't reach anyone for an entire week. Even when u leave a message and wait 48 hours they don't reach back to you. She kept repeating oh this would be on OUR timeline once you're financially cleared... since insurance isn't involved or financing - I don't need clearance dear. You're a doctor you should know that. Also THEIR timeline is crazy. You're a medical service provider operating in fertility treatment. It should very much be on the PATIENTS timeline. Not even med spas behave like this. She was also extremely condescending to my husband. -100/10. We met with her once and then moved to a physician at the frederick office. Additionally their nurses do not put their clinical instructions in the patient portal -.- it's ridiculous what kind of medical office doesn't provide the instructions written in a patients portal so they can refer back to them!? It's concerning and unsafe to be quite honest. The pharmacy called them several times to identify an alternative medication for an out of stock medicine they had.... No response from the physician. I had to call to get a response. TESTING- working in a lab testing does not need to wait all day for the nurse to call you. Most analytical blood tests take 90 minutes. Run my test and put my results in my portal IMMEDIATELY. It's ridiculous to make people wait all day. STAFF PROFESSIONALISM- I had a weekend appointment and people were wearing pajamas and house slippers. I'm all for being comfortable at work, but pajamas and slippers is wild it's a medical office. Also when you call this office often the front desk staff sound annoyed that you're calling them on the weekend. You're literally the on call office for the weekend -.- When my husband arrived to the office and asked for directions to the consultation room the staff sent him across the hall where no one was at the desk. I asked "what would be next steps in an IUI process" no response to the question only you need to pay... I'm asking a consultation question. The bill they sent was a whopping 12 hours old... The nurse could easily have responded professionally with "in addition to these steps please ensure you pay this bill through your link..." Again not even med spas behave like this. The frederick office is much better. Way more professional and the staff are nicer but the Rockville office is absolutely terrible. You're not a patient there, you're seen as a source of revenue simply. They're not there to serve patients or educate them... for goodness sakes they can't even be bothered to get up in the morning and put pants on -.- go ANYWHERE ELSE
