This was my first visit, and I will definitely go back. Dr. Hirschfield is really attentive and…read moreprofessional. And they stay on time! My issues were with the account creation and billing processes, and a lapse in privacy protection, but I won't ding the practice for those at this time. I was given an email prompt to go to a portal and download an app, and fill out everything there. I did. But when I got to my appointment I was told I didn't sign all of the required docs. I looked through the app and showed the front desk, and she couldn't find them either, so I had to do it on an iPad there. Not a huge deal, but a glitch that made check-in less smooth. Another awkward, and poorly timed request, was after the doctor decided to do 3 biopsies. I signed a doc to agree to them, and the nurse told me I had to pay the deductible for them before they could proceed. I literally had to get off the table in my gown, and go get my credit card out of my purse so she could process it while I waited. Really, really weird that I couldn't take care of that upon exiting. And honestly, not the best use of a nurse's valuable time! Lastly, I was laying on the table in a paper gown, at times with different areas of my body exposed, and during a period when a 2nd nurse or technician was coming in and out, the door was left open 2 or 3 times while she performed her tasks. I was in the first room, so every patient who entered walked by my room, and there were men, women and children in the office. I almost said something, but I was embarrassed and just wanted it over with. I hope they pay a little more attention to the privacy and dignity of patients. Still, I'll give it another shot because I liked Dr. Hirschfield.

I've been a reoccurring patient here. I enjoy coming here and have for years. When I have been…read morecoming in recently, I've noticed only one of the receptionists taking charge of the front while the other receptionist, talks on her personal cellphone and ignores almost every patient that is waiting to check in. I noticed this especially today. As many patients were waiting to check in, I couldn't help but be bothered by the fact the receptionist wearing glasses could not be bothered to get off of her phone to help her colleague to check patients in. Seeing this lack of professionalism by her at the front desk makes me question how professional this establishment is. The front desk are the first people you see, and who set the tone for the appointment. After seeing the consistent lack of urgency and continuous unprofessional attitude on the one receptionists end does not make me want to continue treatment here.

Wow. I had such a great experience today with Kelly. It's been about 5 years since my last Botox…read moretreatment, and honestly I'm a little annoyed with myself for waiting so long. I used to go to Blue Med Spa in Sherman Oaks, and every visit there would take 1-2 hours. The whole experience always felt like constant upselling from start to finish, from the front desk to the injector. It just wasn't enjoyable. My visit today was the complete opposite. The office is beautiful and very welcoming. When you walk in there's chilled champagne, orange juice for mimosas, and a lot of skincare products displayed. I'll admit I was a little nervous at first because I thought it might be another high-pressure environment. Instead, everyone was incredibly kind and relaxed. I told Kelly upfront that I had about $450-$500 to spend, and she didn't bat an eye or make me feel uncomfortable about having a budget. She treated my 11 lines and forehead wrinkles for $300, after the receptionist helped me apply a $65 coupon that she informed me about at check out. I was honestly expecting to only be able to afford my 11s like I used to at Blue, where just the forehead area would run around $550-$600 and crows feet were always extra. The difference here was huge. Kelly was thorough, knowledgeable, and efficient. She explained what she was doing, listened to what I wanted, and never once pressured me to add anything or buy extra services or products. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. I'm beyond impressed with the whole experience and so happy to be done with Blue Med Spa. I'll absolutely be back to have my crow's feet done, and I'm even considering signing up for their monthly pass. Highly recommend Kelly. Thank you so much!

I had a LIP appointment (my 3rd) , I told the initial girl that THIS TIME I wanted 2 syringes, and…read morethere should be notes in my file. Next, for reasons unknown, she tells the PA "she doesn't want her lips done". I never said that! This is a LIP appointment! So when the PA came in to speak with me, I thought it was on the basis of "in addition" to my lips. It is the corners of my lips that is attached to my face that have a downturn (and I pointed to the cracks in my lips .) I later found out that in the PA's mind our conversation was "instead of" my lips. So I spent $1450 on 2 syringes for my lips that didn't go in my lips. At one point the PA said "I'm just going to put a little bit in your lips". I said " I hope so, because that's where it's supposed to go". I did not understand why she would say that but she is the professional. Afterwards she gave me the mirror. Everything is puffy so it's difficult to discern at that moment. Next, I'm in my car trying to put it all together , I realized they didn't put anything in my lips. I raced back. They were very apologetic. The PA said that they will have a very long talk with the girl who started the breach. However, I had to pay for a third syringe, I was at their mercy so I paid. The PA said that she got the office to take $100 off of the syringe. At this point it didn't matter. How irresponsible to admit fault but not pay for your mistake . I was humiliated and anxious and I just wanted to get out of there. If they had not charged me for that third syringe, my review would be completely different. The next day the office manager returned my call and she said that she was very sorry, that it was their fault, it was completely on them. She added that they actually wrote up and disciplined the girl who told the PA that I didn't want my lips done. I told her I put in a dispute with my bank and she said "I don't blame you and if it were up to me I would never have charged you for the third syringe". (That would have been the right thing to do.) A week goes by and I haven't heard anything so I called the office manager; she said she doesn't have the power to do anything. Additionally she told me that the PA heard me say that I didn't want my lips done. What?? Next, she pointed out that "you did sign the consent form." Kind of a "gotcha." First of all, I NEVER SAID THAT I DIDN'T WANT MY LIPS DONE! It was my understanding that the other things we talked about was "in addition" to my lips.....not "instead of" my lips. It was a LIP appointment! Why would I pay for a third syringe if I didn't want my lips done??? It doesn't make any sense! While I'm glad that the manager told me that they took action and that it was their fault (even though she tried to walk It back). However, talk is cheap. Was she just telling me what she thinks I wanted to hear? I don't know but ultimately, when I hear things like "well you did sign the consent form", I hear that they have no intention of paying for their mistake . She said she was going to talk to her manager next week. if they wanted to make it right they would've already done so.. Accepting responsibility is more than words, there needs to be action ; and when action is placed on the back burner, ignored, or covered up, it is a display of extreme hubris. This all could've been handled that day. Should've been. They could have made it right, restored my faith, and I would be back in 6 months for another lip appointment. Instead, they are sending a message that they are above and untouchable, which means that their patients are beneath and disposable. Could I have just gone away and taken the hit as a $2050 lesson? Of course I could. It is not in my nature to pursue something like this. In this case it was more than miscommunication, it was a breach of duty started by an inexperienced person who acted outside of her scope by telling the PA false information. Could I have been a better advocate for myself, perhaps brought someone with me? Would it have made a difference? Maybe. I'm glad they weren't removing a toe. What is so hard about having a drawing of the area to be worked on where the patient can clearly see? That takes care of any guesswork.. Even my dentist does this. I should not bear the full burden of responsibility for this misconduct. I chose this practice because of my history and because it's The Dr. Tahari. I mean, what could go wrong? Was that a mistake? Is this strictly a business driven by GREED and "Buyer Beware"? Not sure yet. But the fact that they have admitted fault, taken interoffice disciplinary action, yet have failed to offer restitution to the patient who paid for their misconduct, does not reflect positively on Dr. Taheri's Group. I don't have grand expectations, I just want them to make it right so my faith can be restored thereby preserving our relationship in the future. The longer this draws out, the less likely that is to happen.

Injectables can be a very nerve wracking thing, but the nurse who helped me, Raquel was so kind and sweet.
