If I could give Emily more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. She is, without a doubt, the most caring, gentle, compassionate, and talented nurse I have ever trusted with IVs and injections.
I've personally had countless IVs and injections from Emily, and she has also cared for my son and many family members I've referred. Not once has she ever missed a vein or caused us pain. Her technique is truly exceptional, and she makes every experience feel easy and stress-free.
I've even driven to different Hydration Room locations just so Emily could be the one to take care of me because I trust her that much. She's worth going out of my way for every single time.
What means the most to me is how she cared for my son after he had a bad experience with another nurse. He became fearful of needles afterward, but Emily's kindness, patience, and incredibly gentle approach completely changed that. She took the time to make him feel safe, calm, and comfortable, and now she's the only person he feels comfortable getting an IV or injection from. As a parent, that level of trust is priceless, and I'll always be grateful to her for it.
As a single mom, there have been times when I've needed to bring my children with me to my appointments, and Emily always goes above and beyond to make the experience as stress-free as possible. I've brought both my son and my daughter with me, and while I'm receiving my IV, Emily thoughtfully keeps them occupied with coloring books, colored pencils, word searches, puzzles, and other fun activities. It allows me to relax and receive my treatment knowing my children are happy, engaged, and welcomed. It's such a thoughtful touch that you don't often see, and it speaks volumes about the kind of person she is. She genuinely cares about every aspect of her patients' experience and goes out of her way to make everyone--adults and children alike--feel comfortable.
If you're someone who's nervous about needles, anxious about IVs, has difficult veins, or has had a bad experience in the past, Emily is the person you want. She has an incredible gift for helping people feel at ease. She explains everything, keeps you calm, and before you know it, the IV is in with little to no discomfort.
Beyond her amazing skills, Emily is simply an incredible human being. She has such a positive, energetic, and uplifting personality that she instantly brightens every room she walks into. She radiates kindness, warmth, and genuine compassion, and you can tell she truly loves what she does.
