I regret coming here…read more I got Smart Lipo done in 2023 on my lower and upper abdomen. I was told that the cost of the procedure would include the medications and anything I needed for my recovery. During my procedure I was given Lidocaine (which was my first time) and about half way is when I already used my limited amount. I went through the rest of the procedure without it. I was in immense pain but advised them to keep going. My recovery process was longer than I expected but I did everything they recommended with the lymphatic massages that that offered only a certain amount after surgery. I even continued the massages on my own and paid out of pocket to help anymore drainage. I was provided a slip, foam, and board the first half of my recovery when I was extremely inflamed and swollen for this time but overtime continued to heal and drain more of the fluids out. The other half of my recovery I asked for a smaller size in the slip because I could not get enough compression from the old one. They told me that they could not provide me but I could buy my own which was between $80-$100 for a new one. A YEAR after the procedure is when I was supposed to see my full results and I addressed my concerns that I had 4 months into my recovery that they said they would wait until I'm fully recovered to look at. The areas that they missed during my operation and even told me during every check up that they could always go back in and get when I was fully heal. When I brought up this topic again they gave me another quote stating it would be more money even though they admitted they did miss it during my first operation. I would not recommend the Smart Lipo to anyone who just wants a quick solution to flat stomach. By the time you go through the procedure and recovery then you could have already paid for a personal trainer and gym membership that still came out cheaper. This procedure will DESTROY your core and will have to slowly build it back up if you are already active.

I was 51 when I finally had my breast reduction and lift, but I've lived with large breasts since FIFTH GRADE. This wasn't some random cosmetic procedure I decided I wanted one day. I waited most of my life to do this. I wanted ONE surgery. I wanted to do it right, follow the instructions, heal and finally be done with something I had dealt with since I was a little girl. I honestly wish now that I had never done it. I hate my result. Looking back, I don't feel like Dr. K ever took the time to really understand what I wanted. He didn't measure me. We didn't have a detailed conversation about what size I wanted to be, how much lift I wanted or what I expected my breasts to look like afterward. There was no drawing out a plan with me and making sure we were on the same page. At first I thought he was just quiet. Eventually, I felt dismissed. I didn't know what I didn't know. I'd never had this surgery before. I trusted the surgeon to be the expert and guide me through the process. The night before surgery made things worse. I was given Dr. K's phone number and spoke directly with him less than 24 hours before my procedure about a medication I take regularly. My hairdresser was sitting there and heard the conversation. While I was trying to get important instructions about medication before surgery the next morning, his attention seemed divided by an argument or situation involving his children happening around him. He told me not to take the medication. So I didn't. I arrived for surgery with severe anxiety. Then the anesthesiologist told me something completely different. My recollection is that I was told anesthesia had explained multiple times that someone who takes this medication regularly, the way I do, could take it. Then I'm already prepped and literally about to be taken back for surgery, and I can hear nurses talking about Dr. K being in a bad mood. Imagine lying there about to be put under anesthesia and hearing that about the person who is about to operate on you. The anesthesiologist was honestly the one person that day who made me feel comfortable and cared for. The whole experience felt like too many hands in the pot and not enough communication. After surgery, I followed the instructions. ALL OF THEM. I wore the bra. I have basically lived in a bra. I even followed instructions that I later learned may not have been necessary because I was determined to do everything I could to get the best possible result. And here I am. I can STILL hold a pencil underneath my breast. I paid for a breast reduction AND A LIFT. I'm 52. I wasn't expecting the breasts of a 20-year-old. I wasn't expecting perfection. But I absolutely expected better than this. I'm unhappy with the shape and the amount of lift. I have concerns about my scars and I'm unhappy with areas around my upper arms and sides as well. But what really gets me is the follow-up. Where is it? Nobody from this company has contacted me to find out how I ultimately healed or whether I'm happy with my result. Dr. K hasn't checked on me. There aren't even proper after pictures documenting my final result. I feel like I became another person in line. And then I watched a friend go through this process AFTER me. She consulted with Dr. K and told me she was quoted around $30,000. She ultimately chose another surgeon and paid around $7,000. Her result is beautiful. But the money isn't what got me. It was watching what her surgeon did BEFORE surgery. He measured her. He talked about exactly what size she wanted. He drew everything out. He explained what he was going to do. He made sure they were on the same page. I remember thinking, where the hell was any of that for me? I waited from the time I was a little fifth-grade girl until I was a 51-year-old woman to finally do this. Now I may have to go through another surgery, another anesthesia and another recovery to get the result I thought I was getting the first time. That's exactly what I spent all those years trying to avoid. I don't want a generic response underneath this review telling me to call the office. I want someone in H/K/B management who actually has the authority to address this to contact me. I want my result evaluated. I want proper postoperative pictures taken. I want someone to actually LISTEN to what I wanted in the first place. And I want another qualified surgeon to evaluate whether this can be corrected and have a real conversation with me about what H/K/B is willing to do to make this right. I prepared. I followed the instructions. I gave my body time to heal. I waited almost my entire life to do this once. I wasn't interested in a costly surgical procedure, just something simple to help me along in my better body goal! After doing my research on coolsculpting I found that there was no downtime, it's cost-effective, and only targets the areas that you need a little help with! Three months later and I'm here at Sona for my coolsculpting treatment! The office is very well maintained and clean. The waiting areas are fully stocked with a variety of hot teas and ice cold water! I was taken to the coolsculpting room within a few minutes! Liz was the technician that did my treatment; she snapped a few photos and I was ready to begin! She did two areas back to back and they were 60 minutes each.
