I have stayed in this hotel a few times for different occasions and it's amazing staying here during NYE as they have a drone show with amazing display of fireworks. The experience so far has been great as far as customer service and stay. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Attended a conference and stayed here. The rooms are clean, the housekeeping staff are great. The hotel has a small gym and dimming pool area. The various restaurants in the hotel all had great food. They also have a small convenience store in the lobby, the staff there were awesome. Overall, it's was a great experience.

May return return for the tunnel to the Union Station. Thanks for having the French Open (tennis) in the tv lineup. The tiny swimming pool is a deterrent for me: unbelievably small for the size of the hotel! Choosing this hotel, is due to its proximity to the Union Station, due to me being a train head. The 1,120 rooms hotel is decent, close to Dealey Plaza but it's in nowhere land: "Downtown" label is bit misleading. Our room is spacious, with a good view looking out west, Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, Trinity Overlook Park, etc. The water pressure is good as well. The second luggage rack bought in in less than ten minutes after my request (why don't hotels provide two when they expect two people are checking in?) Hyatt is part of redevelopment project by the city, with two other components (Union Towner/Crown Block and Union Station). It's very convenient to pop over to the Ball to have a drink, watching the sunset (dinner needs reservation). When we checked in at 10pm, there was one lone staff who was distant. As he was checking us in, I tried to start a small talk, asking him the best way to Fort Worth. "Uber." "Not train?" My homework tells me, the train station is only 8 minutes walk away. "Nay." The following morning, I ask for the direction to the station (tunnel is closed according to online comments...). Two employees (valets) gave us Google Maps direction, which is the road way. It seems non of the staff know about the tunnel. The tunnel between the hotel and EBJ Union Station is clean, well lighted and maintained. A city staff walks it once an hour (don't know about weekends but it opens at least on Saturday), and it closes at 7pm. Room key gets you into the hotel. Edit: regarding the front desk staff, he said the pool hours are 7am-11pm (... which is unusually long ...). So I rushed to the pool after putting down the luggage in the room, only to find the un-yielding door to the pool: it was locked. The following morning, I went down again, to find this tiny pool and the unappetizing deck.

In town for 4 days. We stay at the HR Dallas. Great hotel, service and the within walking distance to some attractions. The gym was fine, second floor bar was open till midnight and the breakfast was fantastic. 25 mins from DFW airport ( no traffic )

Great stay at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere throughout. The staff were friendly and professional, making check in and the overall stay smooth and enjoyable. The location is convenient, and everything felt easy and relaxing.

This review is solely for their security/parking staff. Apparently then open this lot at 6, if you try to come back any time before hand, you will be met with a "lot full" sign. There is additional parking much further down the road. But I don't see how that is necessary when the only barrier to this lot is the sign and security guard that is sitting there doing nothing. Does the lot look "full" to you? Forgive the ugly reflection.. I called to inquire and was met with a "I'm not sure why they are not opening it."

I ate at the bar in the hotel and our waitress, Holly was awesome. The smoked wings were good. The caesar salad was okay - nothing amazing. The drinks were good.

Found a rather large insect on the floor of my room. By the time they sent someone up it had crawled under the bed frame. Was told the hotel was sold out. Ultimately they gave me another room. Overall the hotel could use a deep clean from the HVAC vents to the grout lines in the shower insert. Meeting rooms as well have soiled carpets.

Let's start by saying this is a high traffic hotel!! Right in the heart of Dallas and truly a HUGE hotel. You can tell it's an event/ commercial hot spot because of the sheer amount of groups, from corporate conferences to sporting events and large celebrations. I stayed here while in town for a business conference and this is where our company booked us. I was definitely impressed with the room and number of amenities at the hotel. Multiple restaurants and bars, a great fitness center, cafe, store and huge rooms with a view! It felt clean and updated and I had no issues with my actual room or hotel service. There were a lot of people at all times in all areas, so I wouldn't choose this hotel again for leisure or a moreso "relaxing" stay. We ate at the restaurant and the food was ok--nothing to write home about. My biggest complaint is that there is a really large atrium in the center of the hotel where the restraints and bars are. My room was on one of the middle floors facing the atrium and I could hear every noise from my room until late in the night. I was woke up multiple times by cheering, yelling, kids running down the hall, laughter and loud talking ALL night from the atrium. These rooms are clearly not sound proof. I did call concierge and the offered to move me rooms but it was 1 in the morning and I had an early work day and was not expecting to pack up my room and move in the middle of the night. I was extremely frustrating and feel the should mention these rooms can get loud if you are in one of these rooms. It was not ideal to deal with when needing to be up and moving at 5/6am. Other than that, the hotel is what you can expect! Oh and the pool area sucked. Definitely don't book here if you're wanting a summer escape in the water.

great location and room with a view, front desk help was fast and friendly checking in, valet parking was good didn't have to wait for car too long, and bed was comfortable. The bar was convenient and made good drinks. Secondly staying here again.

My daughter and I have stayed here 2x for the girls National Volleyball tournament. We love the location because it's a short 10 min walk to the convention center and far away the craziness at the Omni. You simply take the escalator downstairs to the tunnel and walk another 3 short blocks to the convention. Easy! Both times I checked in with the Globalist status but the hotel did not offer any room upgrades. We did request a higher floor room not facing the atrium to avoid the noise that travels up from the open atrium. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Shower has good water pressure . Hotel honors free breakfast, water, parking for Globalists. Since our games start bright and early at 7am we cannot eat breakfast at the restaurant but we were able to get food at the cafe each morning. The hotel allocated $25 for f&b per person each day. Tip: If the hotel is one of the "stay and play" sponsored hotels, they will also offer free late 6pm checkout. I like the location of the hotel because it's a short walk to the Dealey plaza and Exchange food hall. 10 min ride to the arts district, Terry black's, Love field airport. Would definitely stay here again!

Came back to the hotel after long work day at work and the room looked like this. Do not disturb sign was not on the door. Front desk had no explanation. Never again.

How difficult and how safe is the walk to the convention center from the Hyatt?

It's not really walkable with the tracks. I recommend using a ride share (LYFT or UBER). Lyft is more affordable. You COULD walk but have to go down, under the underpass, and back around past the Omni and across. Check out google or Apple Maps to… Read more

How far is it to ATT football stadium and is there public transportation to it near the hotel?

The Dallas Cowboy stadium was about 35 minutes away with light traffic. We used an uber for transport which was uneventful. The hotel, to my knowledge, did not offer shuttle service to the stadium.

Came here for business trip. Stayed for 14 days…read more Coworkers recommended this location as it sits in Downtown Dallas. The hotel is nice, however outside the hotel it's not nice. There's lots of homeless people outside and not safe in my opinion. Just beware when booking. There wasn't many highly rated restaurants near Omni hotel, had to drive to places. They also host lots of events outside the hotel on their lawn. Hotel is nice. Staffs are super polite and trained. Everything is clean and super decorative. Hotel has restaurants on the first floor, they have small pool, small gym, and spa which you have to pay for. I stayed for two weeks and needed my clothes washed. The hotel does have a service where they send it out to get it washed. But it was insanely expensive. To wash a shirt was around $10. It would have cost me like $150-$200 for a week worth of clothes. I drove 20 min to the nearest coin laundry and spent couple dollars. Would love to see coin laundry in the hotel. Gym: The gym has dumbbells that only go up to 75lb. No barbells. The machine to do back, arms, etc were uncomfortable to use. Pool: Pool is on the same floor as the gym. Can see downtown Dallas. I think it's infinity pool(?) but it's pointing to the hotel building rather than facing downtown Dallas. Room: Room was super nice. The A/C is amazing, works very well. As soon as I got back to room, I set room to 62F. Then to 68F when i got cold. I stayed for 14 days and found out on my last day that there's a fridge hidden in the cabinet. I was super upset about that. The soaps, shampoo, etc are nice. The staff gives you new set even if you are using them and not empty. Price: My rate was $170 through business portal. So probably cheaper. For 14 days (13 nights), I paid little over $3000 due to various taxes and parking your rental car is like $30(?) a day. Really nice hotel, fast elevators, has gym/spa, near freeway and in Downtown Dallas. I just didn't like the environment as soon as you leave the hotel, feels unsafe.

We had breakfast in the hotel and our server was helpful, friendly and had a sense of humor. We visited the pool and were surprised that it was not heated. The hotel gym was decent, could use a better (newer) bench but it had the basics. Our room had everything we needed (the bed was quite soft) and a great view of the eye across the street. My first shower would only get warm and not hot so maintenance had to come up and show me a safely button to push which allows the water to get hot. This was after texting with hotel staff (a very helpful option) but surprising that they didn't just tell me about the button and chose to send maintenance. We were in room 852 on the North side of the hotel and overlooking the eye. We came back from dinner around 10 on Saturday night and were kept awake until about 1:30am. I guess Main St is where people choose to drive their cars with the music so loud it feels as though it's in your hotel room. The motorcycles and cars also like to rev their engines.... A LOT. The windows appear to be single pane and they don't keep any noise out at all. Due to the noise level, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.  Being on the 8th floor and feeling like I was in the cars that were driving on main st and blaring music 2 nights in a row was incredibly disappointing.  If this was a 2 star hotel, okay.  That is not the case.  Upgrade the windows to double or triple pane.  Your location is great, service was friendly and efficient, but one generally wants to sleep at night and that is not possible at your hotel. We even asked the front desk on our second morning if we should change rooms and were told Sunday nights were quiet. I should have listened to my gut as our Sunday night was not quiet. Although the amount of cars & motorcycles wasn't as much as on Saturday, we still heard several cars with music blaring or motorcycles reviving their engines until around 1am. This was the beginning of a long overdue vacation and birthday celebration and it did not get started on the right foot unfortunately.

Not really. But we did have a giant seven foot "desk lamp", a paintbrush and frame above our bed, and and a carpet made from Hamlet quotes in Room 704. Dining: Hamilton's is the main on-site restaurant and bar, with a host or hostess in the lobby smiling at us when we walked in. Taco Enzo and Kolache Korner are in the refurbished shipping containers in the massive parking lot. The lobby store is small and not cheap but it beats a vending machine, especially if you want an ice cream sandwich or fingernail clippers. The "South Beach" pool is saltwater, so it's softer on the skin, eyes, and hair and avoids red eyes, green hair, and pool smell. Location: Though the Cedars district is the industrial historic heart of the Dallas arts scene, it's a bit gritty and has *freeway noise*, with gentrification friction, being a patchwork of high-end luxury lofts sitting right next to dilapidated industrial warehouses, making it feel half vibrant but half abandoned. The Walkability Score is 73, thanks to massive railroad tracks, the I-30, current construction, and inconsistent sidewalks. Be warned this isn't a tree-lined, window-shopping destination like Uptown or Bishop. Finding food, a drink, and even a movie will be much easier than groceries or a pharmacy (though drugs is a different story). I grab some undercooked bacon and potatoes, as I'm grabbing juice I notice the employees were closing everything down (five minutes early but I get it) the really weird/annoying thing was that they were turning the lights off on all the people still eating. It felt like last call at a seedy dive bar. Like I said, I understand wanting to go home but turning the lights out on your guests was a complete and utter FAIL. My last notch in the complain column is that the building itself could really use some attention. When it was raining the ceiling by the front door was flooding like a TLC song. The elevators never seemed clean either. So if I'm going all Final Justice on my review why did I give it a three star and not a one? All the positives come from the front desk agents. Jasmine was the best agent I've had the pleasure to deal with in almost a decade. She was warm, welcoming, and quick as a whip. Every day that I came downstairs she had a different suggestion on where I should go and what I should eat. Honestly if I was building a management team from the ground up, I would poach Jasmine in a heartbeat. So yes on the strength of one employee a hotel gained two stars. Otherwise I can't really recommend stay here until they make some major changes

The bathroom was great, and the shower had the kind of water pressure that makes you want to stay in there longer than you should. The little extras were appreciated, especially the cookies that come out on certain days, and the morning coffee and fruit. The reason I cannot give it five stars is the overall value. The price point sits higher than what you actually get. The room furniture was pretty scratched, the bed sagged in the middle, and we had some maintenance issues on our last morning with the toilet not flushing well and the shower backing up. Nothing trip-ending, but noticeable.

Had an even better visit to H. ZaZa than last time. The property is in the arts district of…read moredowntown Dallas. While it is a business area with large beautiful buildings and is safer than other parts of downtown, like all major US cities that we travel to frequently for work, homelessness has increased in the area--be careful walking around, especially at night. As for hotel essentials, on the third floor water pressure and temperate were good. The mattress was good and did not hurt our backs. Lighting in the room was brighter than many other contemporary hotels. Some staff were friendlier than others, but all were at least ok. There is a free hotel shuttle that will take you within 3 miles of the hotel--remember to give the driver a small cash tip. On this visit it seemed like the hotel elevators were in need of service. Although the hotel is known for their themed rooms, we prefer the non-themed ones. Last time we were in an Africa themed room and did not like it. This time we were in a non-themed room and it made our stay much better. The standard room was one of the top nicest and most beautiful rooms we have stayed at on a business trip. The room was spacious, well maintained, had high quality decor, and good aesthetics. We would definitely stay in this room again. There was also a private balcony with a sound/storm door. There was a good desk to work at. There is a business center down the hall, free coffee in the morning on each floor, and free snacks in the lobby in the evening. The hotel is near by several upscale restaurants and a strip mall. The strip mall has a gas station and across in another strip mall a Potbelly Sandwich shop, Smash burger, and an upscale possibly private steak house that took over for Morton's that closed. A little further at 2100 McKinney there is the 2100 Deli that is good for a cheap fast breakfast. The hotel has the Dragonfly restaurant off the lobby. It is more of an upscale sit down experience. We had breakfast here on our previous visit and it was nice. The hotel still seems to us more like a business stay place than a family vacation type stay. However, if on another business trip to the area, we would definitely stay here again.
