Strip mall across the street - Area is OK - I've only been here for business. Plenty of places to eat within driving distance though.

Stayed here on two different occasions while in Manati for work. I have mostly shifted from Marriott properties to Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels after getting turned on to Hyatt business hotels while previously on a 3 month assignment. Anyway this is your standard Hyatt Place hotel, which is a good thing. The rooms are modern, clean and well appointed for both business and pleasure. While the rooms are full suites, like Hyatt House, they do offer a small fridge, sitting area couch and a nice bed. Bathrooms are well appointed. Staff has always been friendly and rooms clean. Area is so-so with Longhorn next door, but why settle for chain restaurants when there are plenty of other options within driving distance. Salt & Pepper is a short drive away and offers excellent Puerto Rican cuisine. https://www.yelp.com/biz/salt-and-pepper-manati In conclusion a nice, clean, modern hotel with great staff and fair rates.

I advise everyone there who comes to an agreement but the clerk about using your credit card and paying cash be careful without notice or without proof they will charge your credit card the rest of the place is cool there's no smoking in the rooms I was accused of it the proof will be the pictures they took but I have yet not to see I will protest this I will get once a week until my money gets refunded

I am a world-wide traveler and stay in a lot of hotels. This hotel is nice, clean, but could do a lot better on their food and service. *We stayed in room 314; the sliding shower door doesn't stay closed...slides half-way open. * Breakfast is over at 9 am. We are from Central time zone. Literally had to set our alarm for 7:45 am our time to even get downstairs to get a bite. One day we arrived 5 til 9, they were already clearing up breakfast. They glanced at us and seemed to clean even faster. They even cleared away the coffee! I had to poke my head in the kitchen to ask for a fork. Most restaurants in the world will accommodate and serve you, even if they are about to close. Not here. * My husband told me not to worry, and went to the food counter and bought me a cappuccino. Worst cappuccino I have ever tasted! Watery. ..yikes. I would stay here, again, even though some of the staff made us feel like we were an inconvenience to them and the coffee is horrible.

This is a great hotel . The staff are friendly and very helpful. Everyone made sure I was enjoying my stay. Leo and Alex took really good care of me. It was my first time coming to Puerto Rico and I was far from San Juan, they made sure I had a blast. They contacted locals so I could rent a car. Alex took me to the most beautiful beaches. They treated me like family. This was a business trip for me but it felt like a vacation. Also the rooms are clean and very nice. Breakfast is included. They also have lived music at night and a bar which adds a touch of elegance to the hotel.. I am definitely coming back. I recommend this hotel.

Pretty comfy hotel, that is very nice looking. Polite staff that friendly to my ever needs. Love the shower. In the room, I'm staying in there is a couch and desk to jot my thoughts down. There is also 24/7 room service.

Relatively clean. May need a thorough cleaning. There is a musty smell that is due to the high island humidity.

The first night I heard what I assumed was a curated "rainforest soundtrack" through speakers. It's not. Those are actual local frogs, and that small detail somehow sets the tone for the whole experience: it feels real, private, and almost unreal at the same time. The room is massive and thoughtfully designed. The outdoor shower is a standout, and the big tub makes it feel like you have your own spa built in. I didn't have a private pool since I'm on the second floor, but the view is so beautiful I stopped caring pretty quickly. What impressed me most was how effortless everything felt. Having an Embajador team plus a driver/golf cart makes the resort feel easy to navigate, and they're quick to respond when you need anything. The pool is stunning and spacious, and the overall vibe is quiet, calm, and never chaotic. The only thing I wouldn't hype is room service. It was underwhelming for the price, especially the lobster. If you're deciding where to eat, go to Positivo near the concierge instead, it was noticeably better. Even when the weather turned intense, it didn't take away from the stay. If anything, it made the resort feel even more cozy and cinematic. Add in the humidity controls in the room (so underrated), and it's one of those places you leave already planning how to come back.

This is hands down the most luxurious most accommodating, beautiful resort there is. This is a MUST in Puerto Rico.

Then we proceeded to our table for dinner. We waited 20 minutes for water, then had to remind the waiter for our wine we had ordered (a 30 minute wait) and then to top that off, our main course arrived an hour later. There was absolutely nothing special about this experience. No one on the staff tried to make up for any of this. We will not likely return. What a disappointment.

6/10 stars …read more Positives : Let's start with our room- we had the presidential suite: number 20. It's the largest and has a walk out balcony that ends cliff side and has lounge chairs with a view of the beach below. The walk in showers are fantastic. The oversized private hot tub is great . The grounds are nothing short of phenomenal. By far the nicest in all of Isabella. Sunsets galore and ocean views that go on for miles. In summary : If you want to come here and not interact with anyone, order room service and hang out at your 1000 sq ft suite, take dips in your private hot tub and then wash off with open doors to the nature under a rain head shower .....then this place is phenomenal. I would come again, but only under these circumstances. Let's first note that I read all the reviews on the property before I booked here. I chalked the negative ones up to just "temperamental guests"..... Unfortunately, I was proven wrong. During our stay I tried to continue to tell myself that this is island life", "things here are on island time" ...."they probably have a hard time with retaining of employees" (among other excuses). ---- But then I came to realize, I'm still paying 1000$ usd a night to stay here plus meals...That being the case - it's not acceptable at any level. I'm tired of making excuses for bad service in the service industry and continually lowering my expectations so as not to ever get upset. Negatives: 1.) Child friendly!?!: (why ? .... this is a golf resort and has no childcare or child amenity's). We couldn't seem to get away from crying babies at dinner every night. This isn't acceptable when we paid over 100$-250$ for two people at each sitting to eat. Yet Management just accepts this !?!? Night 1: we had to watch a father change a dirty diaper on the golf course in front of our ocean view at dinner! Yumm! Night 2: we had to move tables to escape the same crying infant. Take your crying baby back to the room! Annoying ! Night 3: we had to ask for another table to make sure not to sit next to the same baby at diner (again crying). And yet again... the father proceeded to change the diaper again on a communal sofa right behind us at the restaurant ( Situations like this are not stellar experiences while eating lobster and steaks by the ocean.) 2.) Dining: Each meal takes at least 2 hours from start to finish even if you order your entire meal the minute you sit down. That being said, the food is amazing. Each dish was expertly prepared. Some of the waitstaff was great (Jessica) but most were not. Some even had AirPods in their ear while serving us. Their pizza oven was broken for our entire stay due to a bad part. (Disappointed to say the least since as their website boasts about their amazing pizzas). Sometimes we went to the golf shop restaurant... (to escape the 1.5 hour or more sit down experience at the main dining restaurant) and then more problems... ultimately, we were forced to order what we got the last time we came to eat at the pro shop (since none of the employees could find the menu ....---Not acceptable for paying 1000$ per night !--- 3.) Our arrival : we were told our driver would take us to our room and show us the property and explain how everything worked. ---- He said nothing! And didn't show us the property. We were left to decipher how the resort worked, ---just a bad start. Not acceptable for 1000$ per night! 4). Cleaning : if you call the maids, they will take all day to come. They will enter and replace towels but not clean or make the bed. Then, You will have to call at least twice more for them to actually show up and change the sheets and clean. I've had better housekeeping at a Holiday Inn. 5). Room service: The one time we ordered they brought the wrong food. 6). Management: Basically, You will be told different things by different people. Nothing is consistent.- why did you not sit down with us and go over everything? Especially since you asked if we were first time guests? Let me teach you how to manage the new guests : mention how to book massages, where the fitness room was, how there was an Easter brunch on Sunday, how there was live music for our entertainment on Weekends ....and so on and so on... :( but we got none of this. --not acceptable for 1000$ per night- 7.) Upon leaving: the manager had to ask us our casa number to check us out. (crazy since she was the same person who checked us in) -really made you feel not special. Also, she was basically just a human credit card machine reader. She didn't ask us anything about our stay or how we liked it.... It just makes you feel great....like you want to come again. (especially considering you just spent what most Americans spend on a car to stay there for 7 days)! Can you Please fix this resort!!! It is amazingly beautiful and it's a shame to leave your guests so underwhelmed by the way it's run.

As always, I conducted a bunch of research, some say too much but they always ask me to find things for them... The name for the Hacienda Tamarindo is derived from Tamarindo trees on the property. If you go to Vieques there is a ferry they run all day. Ticket was two dollars. Vieques is a nature preserve so expect to see horses everywhere on the island. Oh yeah, roosters too. You need a rental car on the island. Well, at least I would recommend one and am glad I had one. There is no way to see the beaches without a vehicle. Hacienda Tamarindo will reserve your rental for you if you ask. Be aware that you may not want to arrive on the island before the rental company opens. If I'm ever on Vieques I will stay at the Hacienda Tamarindo.

It has a cute fountain and again great views of the beach - each room comes with a hard side cooler you can take to the beach. - there is an honor bar where you can make your own drinks - you can rent snorkeling gear, beach chairs and umbrellas from them.

The people here are so accommodating; they have 3 restaurants on the property and they are all equally good. from formal to casual you can't go wrong eating at any of them. i'm a marriott member and had some points that i used for one night and im happy i took advantage of it. unfortunately they are converting the property to a 4 seasons and it will be far more expensive to stay here. The st. regis operates like a luxury hotel should. i would give it 10 stars if i could. i used the spa facilities and the massages we got were first notch. and jesselyn was a great nature guide that took us around the property. we are sad to be leaving.

My young kids were delighted with this. There is a boathouse area with free kayaking, standup paddle boarding and inflatable playground. This boathouse also offers more high-tech water sports equipment for rent. For families There are adult bikes and children's bikes on the resort that are complementary. There are golf carts that take you from one area to another as everything is pretty spread out. For example, from the main gate to the hotel is a little less than a mile. Only two free breakfast are included with Marriott status. So if you are traveling with kids, you have to pay $22 plus tip for their breakfast every morning. They have a few sand toys to share out on the beach. The large pool area does have Shallow parts for children. For adults The beach here is gorgeous though setback many yards from the hotel. The pool does not have an adult only area that I know of. There is a nice but small hot tub. You have access to all of the spa amenities every day as a guest here. There is a small gym next to the spa and a larger gym called the wellness center which is about Half a mile from the main area. Food issues The main issue here as many other of viewers have stated is the lack of decent food selection. Sea grapes is decent but only open until 5 PM. Paro gets terrible reviews and is excessively overpriced Mediterranean food. However, an Uber from the hotel to Rio Grande is not expensive around $10 and they are good restaurants, but you must do your own research. I recommend Los kioskos de luquillo Which have many food options and it is basically a beach party scene better for adult adults than kids. Service and butler service overall were spotty. We were given incorrect information multiple times. Don't forget to take a ton of cash to tip-wish they would include this in the final bill. Loved the ocean view, comfy beds, and spacious bathroom. Overall a nice stay and would consider coming back if the food options improved a bit!

I've always wanted to spend more time in Luquillo, and after seeing the consistently high ratings on Expedia and TripAdvisor--along with its beachfront location--I decided to give it a try. The property itself is older, but don't let that deter you. The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made for a very relaxing stay. I loved the balcony and watching the ocean from so close! Beautiful sunrise too. Check-in is more laid-back, so don't expect a traditional front desk experience with someone always present. That said, the communication was excellent. I really appreciated that they reached out via text ahead of time to ask about my arrival--it was a thoughtful touch. I arrived earlier than the standard check-in time (as I had mentioned), and there were no issues at all. When I rang the bell, a staff member promptly came out to assist me and greeted me with a warm smile. There's also a very popular restaurant and bar on-site with an amazing-looking menu. Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to try it this time, but it's definitely on the list for our next visit. The location is another big plus--easy to find, right on the beach, and conveniently close to a Walgreens and other nearby beaches to explore. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful visit!
