I would give this zero stars if I could!!! Please don't stay at this hotel... I have been a loyal guest/customer of Hyatt for many years for business and family travel. I had the misfortune of booking a room at the Hyatt Place Blue Ash Cincinnati, OH. People should be warned not to stay at this hotel. We had issues from the moment we pulled in the parking lot. 1. Parking lot and front area roped off for pavement painting. Not just one day but all 3 days we were there. Typically a hotel post a warning about this. 2. Had to be switched from our first room about four hours after check in because the toilet did not work. 3. The side door that is supposed to be locked for security was never locked. It was only locked after I went and complained about this being a safety issue. 4. We had to call back down stairs because of issues with the water in the shower of room number 2. I asked for a manager again at this point but as for the entire stay the "manager" was MIA. A gentleman came up and said he would check the plumbing issue and get back with us. He came back up stairs with another key card . I said we have to move again. He said no use this card to shower in your original room. So use the restroom in one room and go down the hall to shower in another. It's beyond ridiculous. 5. Other things such as missing hair dryer that it took an hour and two trips down stairs to get. Tried to call the manager from table desk phone but it was missing the phone cord. Trash was all in the grass front and back of hotel. A silver bucket of nasty green water which had been sitting there forever. Trash filled to the top in the pet area with the doggie bags. Cigarette butts littered everywhere. The desk in the room was dirty with something black and had not been cleaned well. Food in the floor on the first floor hallway exit door that had laid there. The stench of "smoking" on the fourth floor was over the top. I tried to speak to the manager at the front desk and on the app on text. I was ignored. I was told the plumbing couldn't be addressed because they had no one in maintenance there. I reached out to Hyatt by phone the day of check in. They told me to they would note this but try to work it out with the hotel manager. I then emailed Hyatt yesterday with photos and keep hearing the issue is being escalated. It's been four days and no one can address this??? So not only have Hyatt hotels gone extremely down hill but so has the "customer service". I don't want anyone else to waste hard earned money at this hotel. Had we not been crazy with a family wedding and pressed for time I would have changed hotels immediately. DO NOT STAY HERE. ZERO security. DISGUSTING ROOMS. Our room key didn't work, and I told them I needed a new one. They just asked the room number, didn't ask for ID, or verify the name on the room and just handed me a key. This happened with three different staffers I hadn't seen before. Grimy, disgusting, a real SHAME on HYATT as a name. We were shocked by the state of the dirty lobby, dirtier rooms, and the disrepair everywhere. If you like air conditioners that don't work, and cleaners that don't clean worth any sense of a just an average clean, then you'll love it here. Don't forget, there's no water at breakfast, because their ice machine doesn't work, and there's no soap in the men's bathroom no matter how times you let them know. UNBELIEVABLE. read more

Bedbugs!!!! Stay at your own risk. I stayed at Hyatt Place Cincinnati/ blue ash on 10/18-10/19 with my family, and I am absolutely disgusted that we found multiple bedbugs in our beds. I alerted the front desk immediately, took pictures and even trapped two under a glass to show the staff. While they offered to move us to another room, they showed no urgency or real concern about the health risk involved. No offer to refund the stay, no genuine apology -- just a shrug and a room key. After showing staff the pictures, I asked the front desk girl if she would come to the room to inspect the situation and she declined saying she was too busy. After checking out, the general manager Priya Kaur, couldn't be bothered to respond to my email or phone calls. Another member with management that I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude, didn't seem to care and was constantly talking over me while I was trying to explain the issue and that I wanted a refund. I had to spend time and money treating all my belongings to avoid taking these pests home. This experience ruined my trip, and I would NEVER stay here again. read more

This place is terrible and will NEVER stay here again. That being said, the girl at the front desk was wonderful and tried so hard to make it right but none of it was her fault. First room checked into was so so dirty. After exiting on floor two you smell stale cigarette smoke covered up by air freshener. After driving 5+ hours all I wanted to do was shower. it's an older hotel so I saw some dings in the shower basin which is normal for an old hotel.... no, it was not dings. IT WAS DRIED BLOOD!!! There was stuff all over the carpet so apparently no one vaccumed, unknown crud on the faucet and a layer of dust on the wall divider which was the least of this room's troubles. They would not give me a refund so took me to a second room which was not much cleaner and finally settled on the third even though I just wanted to leave and get my money back. The front desk staff asked how my stay was which I told them how gross the whole experience was. They said the manager would call me and it's a week later and I have still heard nothing. We went here to stay here for 1 night and wish I opted to stay back at the Embassy Suites. I paid the same price of $80 dollars with taxes. We got our room and it was alright. The room is pretty big itself which was a separate room for tv and desk as well. Bed was comfortable and had a good night stay. Bathroom was a little too small for my liking. It is somewhat close to the park, but mainly in a business district. I had fun doing my walk in the morning of collecting Pokemon. Now the cons here, for some reason it attract some interesting people in the back lot. They had some shady things going in the back which I was not comfortable parking in the back. The bathrooms downstairs were very dirty and not clean. Breakfast was alright not too much selection and hours are from 6am to 9am. I would not mind staying here again, but this review is based on being a 3.5 star hotel. read more

We stayed here for 5 nights as part of a travel baseball tournament. We have stayed in several rooms with the same layout (king bed and pullout couch) but this was one of the better setups. Particularly for our family, I liked having the sink outside the toilet area and the privacy wall between the sleeping areas. The staff were exceedingly courteous. When we made requests for more room supplies, they were very quick and accommodating. At one point, I asked for help getting the pool gate to unlock and someone came out right away to assist me. At the bar, the person making drinks was very nice, and the front desk staff were friendly during check in/out. Despite some other reviews, our room was very clean and the staff were constantly seen cleaning the lobby, hallways, and other guest rooms. The pool is outside, which means it's harder to keep clean, but that kind of comes with the territory. As long as you don't care about a pool, this is a great option for traveling to the Cincinnati area. read more

Nicely located by the loop with l-75 one way, I-71 the other. Easy to access. The hotel is very nice with big rooms and comfortable beds. It's rare to refer to a bathroom as exquisite, ours was. I do wish these places would provide more electrical outlets, especially by the nightstands. The plugs they do have are filled with lamp cords and alarm clocks. We (like everyone else) have an alarm on our phone, so, the clock radio ends up across the room or sits unplugged on the table. In this place the only working bed outlet was on Mrs. E's side. Lucky, I have a long cord! The Hyatt offers the standard pandemic reduced complimentary breakfast. There's a few tables you can use to choke and run or you can brown bag it and take it to go. All the workers are very professional and efficient but not too friendly. No matter. The rate seemed high to me and when we returned for our final night, it turns out our keys were deactivated. Turns out they thought we left early. If we never said anything, how do they reach that conclusion? They apologized and gave us new pass keys. Clean and quiet but the ventilation fans in the heating units Can't run without heat or ac running so to have the fan on you either have to freeze or sweat. The bathroom is a nice setup in that You have to straddle the toilet or stand in the shower to close the bathroom door. The drain in our bathroom Sink was inoperable and closed. Asked the desk to fix it but nothing happened. We listened to it slowly drain for 15 minutes every time we used it and with no fan to drown out the inevitable extraneous noises it was excruciating. Not a restful sleep in the least. Sad, Hyatt products are usually reliably good. This one is an exception. No wonder it was $50 Less than any other local properties. I payed $333.84 dl and they charge me twice I spoke with Nikki on October 24th in the morning she stated she charge on accident and she would fix it now it shows on my account it was charge twice to refund done yet, Now that I stayed for the night the electricity has gone out twice no a/c on so I turn it off I wonder maybe because of the A/c was on for few minutes but no I tied calling the front office at least 5 times no one answered It needs a lot of repairs in this building it's creepy not worth money I am very disappointed never coming back here again read more

So the general manager was sitting in the room that the food is in eating breakfast in civilization clothes and a staff member asked how myself and my dad were doing and my dad made a comment that they were out of milk asking if there was more in the back and the general manager jumped up out of his seat and started yelling at my father for being displeased that they were out of milk. He yelled that we had no place being dissatisfied that they were out of milk and said breakfast time was over anyways when the day before it was over at 10:30 and there was no sign that said it ended at 9. But he was so extremely unprofessional and rude and absolutely in the wrong!!!!!!!!!! He should be reprimanded. and he thinks he's so important that he parks his personal vehicle at the entrance of the hotel for 48 hours. read more

Stayed at the Hyatt with the family on a recent road trip and the hotel was excellent. The check in process was the fastest I've ever seen. The desk clerk was very friendly too. The room was large, updated, and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner kept the room cool, even upon entry. The kids loved the outdoor swimming pool. The free breakfast was better than most hotels because they use higher quality food to start with. Totally recommend this hotel. read more

This is the second different Hyatt I have stayed at. The hotel/room layout is exactly similar to the one in Fremont. The company I was visiting in Cincinnati has a discounted rate at this hotel. I stayed here 3 nights. The standard amenities like a gym, continental breakfast, 24/7 food service etc. are present at this Hotel. Pros: Spacious room. Good layout. Very affordable due to the discounted rate (+1) 24/7 food service if you require it. Staff downstairs double up as bartenders :) (+1) Good selection of breakfast items. Very very professional, helpful and friendly staff at the front desk every day. (+1) Cons: They were performing construction outside my room. If they had this planned ahead, I don't think they should have set me up in a room. Charged a bogus $250 smoking fee, and was told, "there was evidence of smoking in the room"... But I'm still waiting on them to produce the "evidence". Killed bugs in bathroom most of the night. No plugs near bed or anywhere except beside the out of way desk. Lights were unplugged when i arrived--plug was behind the bed--they came and moved the bed to plug them in, probably done by former tenant looking for any plug for a phone plug. Noisy bar area close to 1st floor rooms, open until midnight. Running toilet somewhere ever 45 seconds. Clerks away from desk for 15 minutes when looking for a coke. Hot and cold reversed in shower. Narrow rectangular shower with a seemingly designed hand-bar that hits your elbow unceasingly. Toilet not seated correctly, so there are stains and "gelled" water in the tile cracks and between. Dresser drawers are in the bathroom, not in room. Seriously, I travel a lot and this is not somewhere i would recommend. More like a cheap motel, but the facility itself is nice--spent a lot, but not managed and designed by a traveler. Epilogue: On checkout, I told the clerk the room had problems, and that if I was at a Hilton, they would not charge for the room. All of concierge was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful except MAYBE 2 people at the front desk. my first day of check in, I was in the bathroom with the woman from the front desk and she did not wash her hands. that's foul. The public restroom smelled like fish and it took 3 people to say something before they finally asked housekeeping to fix it. my 3rd day of check in the bathroom smelled like feces. They charged people of color TWICE as much as they did white customers for snacks. They told me I could BUY more of the complimentary coffee. The pull out bed in the suite has big giant pee stains all over it. no microwaves in the rooms. The complimentary body wash in the rooms made 2 of my friends break out in rash. This hotel does not live up to the highest standards. We came in with a tour group on Monday of last week September 10 and the tour group arrived an hour and a half early. The staff look at us like we were out of this world and told us to just have a seat. They were rude and unfriendly and not welcoming. I asked to get a room first before the other guests because we are leaving for a baseball game and we were one of the last couples to get around. Nobody seem to care. We got to our room and it was dirty. We went to another room and I have two queen beds we asked for a king. We would've had to wait another 20 minutes after already waiting an hour. The breakfast was subpar- the eggs were hard and disgusting.. There was a bar with no bartender. There was no do not Disturb sign to put on our door - so they came into our room. The rooms are great. Spacious, clean, and nice amenities. The staff is friendly and polite. What keeps me from giving it a 5 star is the breakfast ends at 9:00 EST. This is fine for business travel, but horrible for personal travel. Whether you get in late from a concert or simply want to sleep in, a 9:00 end time to breakfast is too early. I was in Cincinnati for a work trip and booked a four night stay at Hyatt Place in Blue Ash. I've stayed at Hyatt a few times in the past so I figured it was a safe bet. I checked in on a Monday around 3:30 and was warmly greeted by the receptionist. When I got to my room at a quick glance it seemed very nice. The layout was ideal with a seating/work area closer to the entrance and the sleeping area farther back. There was a nice-sized sectional, a kitchenette area with a sink and fridge (no microwave), and a desk and chair. Upon closer inspection though, the room definitely showed its age. The carpet was filthy and had several stains. There was noticeable grime on many of the light switches, some of the countertops were streaky and could have benefited from a good wipe down, and the bathroom sink drained very slowly. Fortunately, I was working long hours so I didn't end up spending much time in the room. On the positive side of things, all of the staff I interacted with were pleasant. Hyatt also offers breakfast and it's definitely a step above your standard continental fare. Each morning they had several hot items like eggs, sausage, biscuits, french toast, waffles, etc., which they rotated daily as well as an assortment of fruit, bagels, English muffins, cereal, yogurt, and oatmeal. One less thing to worry about and pay for. They do have a fitness center but it is small and bare bones. There are two treadmills, one elliptical, a stationery bike and some free weights. You won't be able to get a full on HIIT or plyometric workout in but you can at least do something. They did have complimentary ear phones, clean towels, water, and wet wipes for the machine (PSA: use them!). The treadmills have monitors integrated into them so you can watch tv as you run, which is how I found out about the tragic story of a woman who had been posing as a dentist for several years. Tragic for her patients that is. Yikes! There is a plaza within walking distance with a Starbucks, Chipotle, a Japanese restaurant, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and a couple other places. I think if you go down a little farther there's also a Panera and Target near by. While the service at this Hyatt was solid, I'd prefer to stay at a hotel where I was comfortable taking off my shoes in my room without wondering what I'm stepping on. It's possible that I was unlucky and got the one bad room in the entire hotel but it's more likely that if there's one, there's several. I'll consider Hyatt in the future for business trips, but I would not stay at this one again unless I'm guaranteed the rooms have been re-done. read more

The room was pretty clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was actually one of the better Hyatt Place breakfasts I've had. If you are accustom to the standards you expect with a Hyatt Place, I would not recommend this hotel. Upon arrival, check in was delayed because the one employee had to run up to several rooms because they were having issues with the door keys. After checking in we found a dirty towel in our room and no clean towels. We had requested a pack and play which was listed as an accommodation when we booked, but the hotel staff said they didn't have any. The air conditioning was loud and didn't cool the room well; it also could be be adjusted to a lower temperature. Breakfast options were limited and subpar...the only fruit option, apples, were all badly bruised. Yogurt and oatmeal were not options. Overall, the staff was friendly but the hotel was aged and just had the "Hyatt Place look" applied. read more

This hotel was great- immaculately clean, friendly staff and generally good concept. The lobby isn't centered around the front desk or very grande- it actually almost looks like a restaurant/bar... only without the restaurant or bar. Because we couldn't find any fast food places nearby, we ended up buying the sub sandwiches, chips, etc. from the front desk 'snack area' and it cost a small fortune. The area seemed a bit bland and lacking in terms of quick eats, etc. The hotel actually seemed to be placed there more for the business traveler than for the leisure traveler. The rooms themselves were very nice and spacious with a living area and separate bedroom area and bathroom. It also had a bar area in the room. Very nice and clean. I know this sounds crazy, but while I love places like the fancy hotels for comfort, I find that more memories and laughs are made at places that are oozing with character (ie, shag carpet, vibrating beds, heart shaped hot tubs). When traveling with friends though, I am out numbered. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the bells and whistles. read more

We stayed here for 5 days visiting family and left day before XMAS to go back home. I was on vacation here and given I'm in the Hospitality industry as a private consultant having lodged at some of the best hotels in the world, I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the entire staff here. Granted in every situation things can go wrong as they did here i.e. hot water issue, the room doesn't get made-up in time, burnt coffee ect and are reflections of the hotel, Yet the immediate resolve of the problem and with positive attitude is reflective of good staff training and management. The front desk was always very courteous, friendly, upbeat and helpful with every situation. Chamber maids very nice, accommodating even about late cleanings. I especially appreciate and respect how friendly everyone was even though they were working Christmas and would prefer to be with their family, this speaks volumes of how great the staff is not only as professionals but as people. Thank you Hyatt staff for a wonderful stay we will be returning. read more

There is a small area for snacks and a bar and they provide a nice selection of breakfast buffet in the morning. My colleagues really liked the very strong coffee. All in all my friends and I had a good experience with the Hyatt Place, Blue Ash. It is clearly evident however that they are short staffed (as are most businesses particularly those in the service industry). The need for more staff was evident via the rooms needing to be cleaned in some instances, and the number of people the hotel was trying to serve (relative to the number of staff that were present). For example the person who was working the breakfast area both mornings we were there was extremely overworked, but did an admirable job regardless. In fact, the staff were all friendly, efficient, and accommodating, but were also clearly overwhelmed just by the sheer number of guests that were also present. I would very likely return to this Hyatt property if the occasion presents itself, as I suspect the issues and deficiencies we witnessed were largely if not entirely due to the need for more staff. It is my hope that the administration is actively working to find more competent (and hopefully well-compensated) staff to the crew they have managed to maintain. read more

So if you were to go to my profile, you'd see that most of my reviews are for hotels. That is because I am very particular about where I stay and tend to evaluate places quite thoroughly. So with that said, this hotel had met and exceeded my expectations on multiple fronts, with only a couple of very minor drawbacks. Location: This hotel is located just about a mile off of Exit 19 on I-275, which connects I-75 and I-71. In other words, while it isn't the closest hotel by far to King's Island, Monroe Premium Outlets, and Kenwood Mall, it is centrally located so that you can hit all three places with a short drive. In addition, nearby Sharon Woods Park offers great hiking/walking trails along with a small lake. While the street address says "Reed Hartman Highway", there is barely any road noise. So don't let the "highway" part scare you. However, there is one downside. Its sign is difficult to see because it is blocked by foliage. There is a bigger sign for Residence Inn by Mariott, which uses the same entrance as Hyatt Place, so just keep that in mind when you make your turn. Amenities All Hyatt Place locations have similar amenities. In this particular location, rooms are setup like suites. Immediately greeting you is a small sectional couch with a rolling ottoman. Immediately to the side adjacent to the door is a "kitchenette" of sort, with a small mini-fridge and a small kitchen sink. On top of the counter is a coffee maker, with both coffee and tea provided. Standard stuff. Directly across from the kitchenette is a work desk and rolling office chair with arm rest. A little further down is a divider that separates the "living room" with the "bedroom". Directly in front of the divider is a 42 inch Plasma LG TV and the assorted entertainment options. Channel selection is fairly limited and reminded me of the old Time Warner "expanded basic" service (USA, TNT, TBS, ESPN). HBO and HBOFE are both provided. Most channels are in HD. The free WIFI is decently fast. It wasn't fast enough to play any online games and Netflix streaming (I tried), but plenty enough to do some regular web surfing. Faster connections are optional for an added fee. The definitive highlight for my stay is actually the shower. The water pressure is incredible even up on the 4th floor. "Gushing" is probably the right description. All A/C units are window-mounted and kind of noisy. But they get the job done. Temperature control is located on the unit rather than through a thermostat. The gym is sparsely equipped with two treadmills, one elliptical, and one recumbent bike. Gym wipes, water, and towels are provided. The breakfast offered at Hyatt Place is actually very good. The free breakfast is divided into four "sections". The cold beverages include 2% and Skim milk, orange juice, apple juice, and tomato juice. The "Skillet" section offers a rotating menu that include egg cheese and bacon muffin, open-face egg cheese and ham croissant, french toast, mini-pancakes, sausages, bacon, and eggs. Only 3 from among them are offered each morning. Other standard daily offers include oatmeal and toppings (raisins, dried cranberries, granola, brown sugar), strawberry and regular yogurt, freshly cut (not out of a can) mixed fruits (cantaloupe, melon, grape fruit and orange segments, grapes, and pineapple). Assorted cold cereals. Bagels, toast, and breakfast pastries (alternating between donut and danishes). Tea and coffee are also offered. This hotel does get pretty busy later in the morning. Your best bet is to get downstairs at about 7:30am, grab what you want on a plate, and go back up to your room. It's not that they ran out of food, it's simply that they can't replenish quickly enough when everyone heads downstairs at around 9:00am. And on one occasion, a family with 5 kids each had a to-go box (7 boxes in total). They all filled their to go boxes FULL. One of the kids then said "Can I come back down later to get some more cereal?" As for the pool, some families were out using the pool until late, late, late in to the night when it was pitch dark out there. And there isn't any night light in the pool area. Some parents shouldn't have kids. Just saying. Oh, on that note, do yourself a favor and ask for a room away from the pool. Service: The staff at the hotel is outstanding. They greeted everyone warmly and handled certainly unreasonable guests with class and courtesy. Any concern was addressed professionally and quickly. Top notch. There's a shuttle too, but I didn't use it. I think one of the guests said that it will drop you off within a certain radius around the area. Checked in today and they gave me the wrong room. 2 full bed not 2 queen no sofa bed as stated. Front desk was not willing to make things right and get us the right room which we paid for. Terrible service toward customers who stay here. Hyatt fan every where I go except this particular one. John the supposed manager in charge was no help at all. Rude very misunderstanding read more

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Very nice room, nice breakfast sandwiches, and I really liked that you can get food and desserts from the front desk 24-7. No cleanliness issues. Only wish it had a microwave in the room. read more

Not as advertised. Not clean ( if fact dirty) and outdated. Our room was not even cleaned for a new customer. There appear to be obvious disconnect between google reviewed and the actual state of the hotel. We had to cancel our reservation for the following night. read more

We had a great stay at the Hyatt Place Blue Ash. Very warm welcome after a day of traveling. We were greeted with a framed certificate stating that I was the guest of the day! A little corny, yes, and I had a good laugh, but I definitely felt special. They offered a small gift along with the honor, which was either a drink from the bar or a pastry from the case. I opted for a good, strong G&T with lime which was just what the doctor ordered. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed space is separated from the rest of the room by a little half wall so it really felt like two rooms, a living/relaxing space with a couch and the sleeping space. The bathroom is always a bit small, but serves it's purpose. Everything was clean. I always enjoy staying at Hyatt Place hotels, and this experience really solidified my loyalty to the brand. The location was in the boonies, the room was spacious. This place advertises as taking pets but the fine print is that you pay a non-refundable $75 fee (and they'll charge an additional $100 if your pet makes a mess). JUST DON'T BLOODY TAKE PETS. This fee is offensive to responsible pet owners. We take our small dog on vacations to save money, not get raked for hidden fees nearly the cost of the room of itself. This is false advertising. Stay at La Quinta if you have a pet. read more
