Anyway, it's been six months since I've started ordering In-Shell Almonds Salted from Cindy at Nunes Farms, and I have yet to be disappointed. I typically speak with Cindy; she's extremely friendly and helpful, so ask for her if you can! If you're not an almond lover, don't be shy. Nunes Farms sells other goodies and snacks too, like chocolate, toffee, pistachios, etc.

They greeted me right away and asked what I wanted to order, which I always appreciate. I also decided to try a brisket sandwich, which looked too good to pass up. The brisket itself was very good and full of flavor. That said, I am someone who pays close attention to food handling. I tend to notice when gloves are used as a substitute for proper hygiene rather than an added layer of protection. Unfortunately, that showed up here. The employee making my sandwich handled a large magic marker to write something, then immediately went back to preparing food without changing gloves. That is always disappointing to see. Because of that, I ended up eating more of the meat and less of the bread, but the quality of the brisket still stood out. They also had some really nice gift baskets with the above mentioned offerings. I was told that this location in McHenry Village is temporary, just for the holiday season. I purchased some pistachios and a peach pepper sauce that can be served over cream cheese as a spread for crackers or bread.
