How is there NOT a review on this?!
Tracey W. reviewed Spanky's, which gave me the spark to review MY favorite adult establishment.
I know why there's not a review. Because it's like putting your sex life on Yelp. Well, I'm going to go there, Yelpers. I'M GOING TO GO THERE.
I love this place. Huge and bright neon pink shining like a beautiful beacon of sex off of I-70. Interestingly, it's directly across from the Renaissance Hotel. My mom had her 30 year high school reunion there. All I can picture is a gaggle of middle-aged people gazing out the window at the place and suggestively waggling their eyebrows at that person they've been wanting to bang since high school. Oh, and that also means it's across from Lambert. WELCOME TO ST. LOUIS, BITCHES.
The place is ginormous. They have everything you could ever want. Lingerie, costumes, huge amazing stripper shoes (I'm still trying to find clear platforms with a live floating goldfish in them like in The Simpsons...okay that's a lie. That's just cruel. A plastic one will suffice), every toy and lubricant under the sun, condoms, bachelor/ette party junk, books, DVDs, S&M fun stuff, and general paraphernalia (I had to look up how to spell that damn word) like t-shirts, ballcaps, and really tacky belt buckles.
The lingerie is actually really fairly priced. I remember looking and expecting things to be 5 times the price they actually were. Haven't bought anything yet, because I wasn't drunk enough whilst shopping, and also because I'm not big into the clothes thing...he's just gonna take them off in 0.25 seconds anyway, so what's the point?
Super friendly and helpful staff. Every time I've gone I've literally always had a chipper, flaming gay personal shopping expert follow me around and answer my questions. "So what's the difference between this anal lube, and THIS anal lube??" "Oh they're totes the same thing. One's just marketed for gay men." That may be a little much for you, but they are pretty perceptive and will back off if you give them the WTF look. Me? I love it. I feel like I'm in the gayed up version of Sex and the City. What straight woman DOESN'T want a cute homosexual personal sex shopping assistant??
The place is bright and clean and you don't feel like a complete creeper shopping here.
They have the whole line of Kama Sutra products (YUM) but I didn't see any sex furniture. They have that complicated looking swing. But I want one of them there triangular sex pillows, damn it.
Oh, everything comes in a cute little shopping bag, ya know, the kind like Victoria's Secret that you want to keep because it's cute? Yeah except this is a little bit naughtier. And free little gifts if you give them too much of your paycheck. Like me.
My one and only gripe is that it is too far from me to make this a regular visit. Because, oh trust me, it would be.
Oh hey my birthdays coming up except not really, who wants to buy me the We-Vibe?! Clarification: you don't get to be part of that "we" in the we-vibe, but I'd love you forever for gifting it to me anyway. read more
