Staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable, grounds were very well maintained, and we had undisturbed sleep. Rooms: the bathrooms were updated with great water pressure and towel warmers. The bedroom was very spacious, had a cottage-like feel and was clean. My only complaint is the wifi was down for guests, though I did manage to get access to the reception's wifi, which was accessible only near reception. The grounds are beautiful, so it was nice to walk around in the mornings Meals: Breakfasts were included, which were delicious and very filling though I really only ordered one thing (smoked salmon with scrambled eggs) every morning. Wedding: While the wedding itself was not held here, the afternoon snacks, dinner and dancing portion were. What a magnificent place to hold everything - the room was beautifully set up and I loved that I could return to my room whenever I wanted. All I know is the bridge picked out a package and they seemingly arranged for most of the items. The dinner was so good; everyone was raving about it. Location: It was a short drive from the Northallerton station, so members of the wedding party would pick up arriving guests and we all left together in a big caravan. Very convenient and not in a big city, so it was a relaxed feel. Cannot recommend this place enough.
