This is the only florist in town that sends an email informing you when the flowers were delivered which I appreciate so much! The floral arrangement was also beautiful and looked just like the picture except the vase was a little different from what was ordered. That said, the vase given was much larger than what I thought I was getting so I can't really be mad. Would highly recommend. read more

It's 11:26 a.m., in the middle of the day, and apparently that's prime time for disappearing acts. Unacceptable. If you enjoy last-minute chaos, this is your florist. Im was really happy with the floral arrangement that my MIL received for Mother's Day. I placed the order really late with Hurstfloral.com on the Tuesday before. I received an email confirmation about it. However, I called on Wednesday to make sure it was confirmed as it would be delivered on Thursday. On Thursday, I received an email saying it would be delayed due to flower inventory but it was delivered on Saturday which was awesome for her to enjoy thru the weekend. I live in California and was referred to this florist by a family member. This is my 2nd time using this business. The first time, I never saw what was sent so I thought the recipient (funeral) was satisfied. On August 5, 2021, I placed an order for the funeral of a close friend's family to let them know I was thinking about them.  I selected the THE FTD SERENE DISHGARDEN from the website. There were no options for size and based on the description I placed the order. It was delivered on time to the Funeral home, but my Mother sent me a picture of the dish garden. I was disappointed and embarrassed.  While I understand that it may not be exact, what was delivered was not close to presentable or indicative of the cost, $91.36 (including shipping and handling). I emailed them on the evening of August 5th and received no response or an apology. Today, my mother went to speak with them and they were rude and disrpectful; not accountable or unprofessional accusing someone of switching the card. They asked if she had the arrangement with her, really?!?!? I'm only giving one star because it was delivered on time. I recommend you look somewhere else for your floral needs. The pictures include the website photo that I selected and what was delivered. Not as described and pitiful; the basket is smaller and it looks cheap. Not good at all. SMH!!! read more

BF paid $60 for an arrangement with roses with rush delivery on Saturday. Not only did they send an email late in the day stating they would not be delivered but showed up with this arrangement. It includes 4 large roses and several small ones and some ugly purple flowers that look like weeds. The vase also had significant sediment and some of the roses have discoloration. This is the second delivery I received from Hurst. He's out of town going through an online site. The first was equally awful and quickly died. Do not use this florist. In my mind they are disreputable at best. 2 Days later, Hurst just called to explain they didn't receive the order until Monday at 10 am....I will concede this is possible. That said, the girl on the phone proceeded to argue with me over the quality of the flowers and the arrangement itself stating the website kept most of the funds and they had only $35 to work with. I could spend $35 at St Johns Flower Market in Riverside and be thrilled to pieces....which BTW is exactly what I did. I don't know if the call was an attempt to gain my business but it only served to reinforce my negative impression. Stay away from this company!!!!!! read more

I was asked to pick up a bouquet from a company by any friend for her wedding. When I arrived, the florist handed me a box of flowers instead of a bouquet. After visiting the closest Micheals and Winndixie for supplies and filler flowers I was just missing one last thing - greenery. I called around and finally found some at Hurst. Everyone was so friendly, and I ended up telling them about the miscommunication with the other company. They then offered to arrange the bouquet for me at a very reasonable price, which was such a huge blessing considering I don't have ANY flower arranging skills. Think twice before using tele flora and those 800 flower sites because you pay through the nose for what you see in the pictures you're not going to get.....A floral delivery is supposed to be a wonderful surprise but when the end product from Hurst creates it beware. You will not receive what was pictured on the website, nor the same amount of flowers and for that matter the kind of flowers. An arrangement of flowers was sent and it was supposed to be 2 white dogs made out of carnations with a rose, what came was a sad excuse for a "floral designer".... Maybe if they used the correct amount of carnations it would've looked better and had taken the time to design it then slap it together. This arrangement is in the $80 plus range and I feel for the person who sent it as they requested to see the picture of it. This florist should credit the sender their money. My bouquet of roses lasted over 10 days in an office with no natural sunlight. The amount of compliments I had gotten was unreal (never had that response when having flowers on desk) on how beautiful they were. They were a deep magenta/purple color that I didn't even know existed. I will be sure to ask my boyfriend to use Hurst Florist in the future. Timely delivery, gorgeous bouquet, and lasted for a long time--I'd say they are your best choice in the area. read more

I live all the way in Virginia and I search the internet at so many several places in Jacksonville Florida to have balloons delivered to my son for his 18th birthday. My selection of picking Hurst Florist was the best choice I made. My son face time me to say thank you and the balloons and bear were just fabulous more then I expected. Hurst even included a 18th birthday balloon so that made it more better. Ordered valentines $90 bunch for my wife through Teleflora online. Hurst provided the service and although the flowers were OK it looked like $20 garage bunch with most of the roses substituted with daises. Very poor. read more

I ordered flowers for my mother in law who lives in Jacksonville for Mother's Day. I ordered them online at the end of April and purposely picked delivery for the Thursday before Mother's Day knowing the florist would likely be busier on the weekend. The flowers were never delivered. I called the business on Sunday and left a message for someone to call me to find out what happened. No one called me Monday morning, so I called them. A worker who answered the phone got very defensive and said the order did not go through on the computer. She never apologized or offered to make it right. I asked for the manager, who explained the same thing. She apologized and explained they've had a lot of problems with computer orders. She did offer to send out an upgraded order, but the time has passed, so I declined. I wanted to give this local florist a chance, but I will never use them again. They failed to do the one thing that they are in business to do--deliver flowers. Very poor. read more

I ordered flowers for my principal, on behalf of the staff. The flower arrangement looked like a $30.00 one. However, we paid over $91.00 with tax and delivery. The flowers were $75.00 alone. When I looked at them after they were delivered, I was very upset. I called Hurst Florist, and they said they couldn't do anything about it. When I insisted they make this right, they suggested making a different kind of arrangement and picking up the original one.How could I take back an arrangment from my principal AFTER it was already delivered to her? Bottom line, they did nothing to fix this, and we do lots of business with them. Looks like we need a new florist. read more
