I had a lovely conversation with Winter while I killed time before a show. I own a game store in the US and they gave me lots of ideas for new things to try! They sell everything from plastic airfix kits and the like. Aswell as radio controlled kits too. The staff here are knowledgable and can help you out in almost any situation with recomendations or direct help. The staff are very friendly too and make you feel welcome. They have a good range for the size of the shop. You can buy scalextric corgi and tamiya parts here They have an online site too which is easy to navigate and makes ordering a doddle too. Hobbycraft have regular displays and demonstration days which can be great fun and may even give you ideas for your own craft projects. If you want to make anything seasonal (christmas / easter) I would advise you to purchase what you need early as Hobbycraft tends to stock these things about 2 months in advance and they tend to sell out quite quickly. Wants to sell the stuff and get you out rather than being interested in his customers as some shop owners are. However, he does sell what we wanted, so this is where we went when hubby wanted to buy first of all a team Losey Micro car, and then a few weeks later a bumper for another car - this time a 1/18th scale Team associated model. Prices aren't bad for what we wanted, although I think some of what he sells like the dolls house furniture is rather pricey to be honest.
