I had 3 appointments with Dr. Ricky Sayal and 2 out of 3 were unsatisfactory. I was initially…read morereferred for issues related to my sinuses and throat and was given a diagnosis of allergies and LPR (Laryngopharyngeal Reflux). DR. Sayal never described LPR or even told me what it stands for, I had to research the disorder on my own. However, I felt satisfied enough after the first appointment. During my two follow up appointments Dr. Sayal was over 30 minutes late to both appointments and the time he spent during each appointment was less than 10 minutes; I felt that he was eager to end my appointments quickly. During my second follow up I had communicated my recent symptoms and mentioned that I was having difficulty telling if my symptoms were improving or not, Dr. Sayal did not ask any follow up questions or inquire about the changes I had made based on his recommendations. I feel that there was nothing that he said that a quick Google search could not have told me instead. I was also off put by the fact that the exam rooms each had monitors advertising Dr. Sayal's cosmetic work; I saw several before and after pictures of rhinoplasties, face lifts, and eye tucks. I do not know the fully extend of Dr. Sayal's practice, but it did not inspire confidence in me given that my ENT referral has more ads for cosmetic services in his offices. Overall, I would say that I have had the unfortunate experience that many have when interacting with the medical system, that of being just another face. I am left thinking: if this is the kind of treatment you provide, why did you go to medical school for all those years?

She has also been seen by the audiologist regularly. Dr shermetaro is very knowledgable and explains everything in layman's terms if need be. He does not rush you out of the room and will take his time with you. We are so blessed to have found such a wonderful ENT. This is hands down, the best person and office to take either yourself or your child. Do not hesitate to go to them.

He sent me for a CAT scan and insisted…read moreseveral times that I bring him the CD for the CAT scan from one of the places on his recommendation list. Otherwise, I could go to Huron Valley hospital and he would logon to the site to see my CAT scan. Scheduled the CAT scan at RMT on Woodward in Royal Oak (from his list) and paid $350 and brought him the CD. The response I got was that he didn't have the software to read the CD. That was another $40 copay visit for him to just tell me that. Then why tell me to go to RMT and bring you the CD? Super frustrating, had to find a new EMT and pay more deductibles. I can look at the CAT scan myself on my PC and there is clearly red arrows all over the place pointing to issues in my sinus cavity, thankfully a new doctor can easily read the CD. It's pretty simple. This guy does not have a DICOM Medical Image Reader, but sends people for CAT scans with instructions to bring him the CD he won't read. Skip the frustration and find a more current doctor.

There is no one holding her responsible for the misdiagnosis she gave me and the bad medication combination she's given to my father. In 2013 I explained a few symptoms I had to her she diagnosed me with PCOS. She printed a pamphlet telling me I would have a hard time conceiving children on my own, gain weight and grow facial hair and she sent me on my way. No blood test or ultrasounds were ordered to confirm this. For years I was terrified of not being able to have my own kids and the future was not something I looked forward to. After moving I found out from a doctor who wanted to run tests I have no a single polyp on my ovaries. I do not have PCOS. My father had a heart attack in 2022 and she's given him medications that should not me combined and giving no support to help him change his lifestyle and stay healthy. My wife made an appointment for an annual physical thinking that since we take our son to another IHA Pediatrics, and they do excellent work, that of course this place can handle a simple physical. My wife went to see Dr. Melissa Zimmerman. The doctor came in without a mask on and proceeded to ask my wife a series of vague questions. This led to my wife self-diagnosing her own symptoms and the doctor simply agreeing passively. Dr. Zimmerman had very little to contribute, didn't evaluate or examine her body at all, didn't look in her ears, nose or throat and didn't even bother to ask her if she was a mother, if she worked, if she was married, was sleeping well, etc. They didn't perform a blood panel or take a urine sample either. Seriously, what kind of PHYSICAL was this?! However, she was all to happy to push a flu shot "that was covered by insurance" on her before the appointment concluded. I would've forgotten to post this review except for the $139 bill we received that came past due. It came through their portal that my wife never signed up for and wasn't told to check for a balance due. It was set up for our son at the other IHA evidently. Needless to say they didn't send us a paper bill. As it was past due when it arrived my wife paid it immediately, otherwise I'd have been on the phone asking the office what exactly we were being charged for given the shoddy medical care my wife received. I'm frustrated that my wife didn't get any insight from an MD about her overall health or answers to her related questions. I'm saddened that this is the state of medicine at present, and more than anything I'm angry that this is what now passes as medical expertise. The only shiny beacon at this office was the admin staff whom my wife mentioned was very pleasant to deal with. Steer clear of IHA Brighton Family Care!
