Have been here several times. Every time, rotten produce out for sale, really scary old looking meat, they sell expired foods, even posting signs that expired foods are fine. Really be careful when buying meat and produce here. They do not seem to care about the consumer and it shows. read more

This is the absolute worst grocery store I've ever been to And to top it off when I got my card to go check out they don't accept Samsung pay and my wallet was at home so I had to leave with nothing! I've always went to Huron supermarket literally only because of the workers pleasantness and customer service and convenience of it being so close. I actually go there quite often but will never return due to what just happened. This review is only reflecting the manager/owner. I bought food items and alcohol and set my I.D. on the belt not thinking about it when the cashier asked me for it. As soon as the belt went on it sucked up my id. I was not mad at all and the cashier was being very courteous and trying to figure out how to get my ID for me. She told the lady behind the glass where the money orders are the manager/ owner came over and right away started getting loud saying why would someone put their ID on the belt knowing it moves? I can't get it for you... (then gets it and gives it to me. The cashier says she put it there to give it to me. Then the manager says " Yesss, I know it wasn't you, I'm talking about the customer why would she do that?( Me, right there) Until that point I spent day two words I was very angry that she was talking to a customer that comes there quite often that way. I told the cashier thank you but I'll never be back because of the way she just treated me. It was a mistake on my part.. But I was not even speaking so their was no reason to be so aggravated and act like that towards one of her loyal customers that keeps their store open. Horrible management and owners. Huron Foods is the absolute worst! Produce is always damn near rotten. I bought a pack of chicken today and the chicken breast was rock hard even after I cooked it. They only have sales when the food is about to expire. Only shop here if you have absolutely no choice. read more

Huron Foods is a pretty decent market. I do not do my main grocery shopping here, but I have no issues stopping in when I need a few things. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is clean-ish, but better than many other small groceries I have shopped at. The produce department is pretty good, and so is the meat department. It is a smaller market so they do not carry a lot of things that larger chain stores do. The worst thing about shopping here is the clientele. They can be pretty sketchy and unclean. The cashiers are pretty fast though and you usually do not have to wait too long. read more

This supermarket is just awful. From the second I parked I was disgusted. Before I even entered the store I saw a man with a bloody white apron on walking around outside of the store, about 10 minutes later I saw him walking through the store and back in to the butchers department. I almost asked to speak to a manager to ask if they understood how huge of a health code violation it is to wear a soiled apron around outside to smoke a cigarette and then wear the same apron back into work. Inside the store stinks terribly, the products are old, low quality and overpriced. What bothered me the most was seeing the man in the filthy apron. My desire to buy any meat flew out the window the minute I saw him smoking outside in his work apron. I will spend an extra 5 minutes driving down 59 to get to Meijer from now on, their prices are way cheaper, with a larger and fresher selection. I will not return to this store. read more

I have been shopping at Huron foods for years.... Today of all days I picked up groceries for my friend. Got to the car headed to my friends. Started to unload the groceries. The milk had a hole in it. Leaked all over then when I took the milk back. The manager basically told me to deal with it not her fault. Oh ya go get another milk. my friends are right you are rude. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Yesterday i was in the area and decided to visit this store to grab a few items that I had forgotten at my local grocery store (this is not my regular grocery store). Upon entering the presentation of this market was disgusting. Maybe they were under renovation, who knows because there was no signs otherwise. The floors were stained cement and the back rooms were divided from the public via large blue tarps. If this hasn't sparked your interest keep reading... I had needed to use the restroom so I asked a worker where it was and he directed me to a sketchy room in the back. Still not knowing where it was back there I had asked another worker and he directed me to this odd isolated unisex "bathroom" with sex stalls. One of the stalls was "out of order" and the other was locked (no one was in it), and the other had the toilet seat up with urine that had not been flushed. If I had not been in pain because I had to pee so bad, I would not have used this restroom but I had to go. So I flushed the urine, and put the seat down and used the only available stall. Seconds later I heard someone walk into the bathroom. I was already creeped out by being in this sketchy bathroom in the sketchy back room so I peeked through the crack of my stall. What I could see through the crack was a mirror with a reflection of an image of a male employee looking into my stall!!! This man did not knock or say anything to like "hello?" to indicate whether or not he was curious to see if anyone was using the stall I was in. I'm also pretty confident that the man who was looking at me while using the bathroom was the same man who I had asked where the location of the bathroom was in the first place!!! When I realized this man was watching me use the restroom I exclaimed "EXCUSE ME? CAN I HELP YOU?" very loudly and then he left. I got out of that pathetic restroom and store as quick as I could. Please do not shop at this perverted store. This experience has left me feeling very violated and angry. Who knows what would have happened if another female were to be in the restroom, especially a female who would not have spoken up like I did. read more
