We had a good experience with Huron Homes. We worked with Brandon who kept us posted on everything that was happening. I feel the house was delivered in a timely matter and there was a slight delay which wasn't their fault but after Semco and DTE finally got us hooked up, Brandon had his guys right on to finish all the details and get us in our new home, which we love. The guys that worked on the house were great. It was a long wait but was well worth it and the way Brandon kept us informed made the experience alot easier. Thank you Brandon F. I wish I could give zero stars. Please see attached photo of the text message I received from owner Roger. Backstory: my father passed away a couple weeks ago after a devastatingly short (one month) battle with pancreatic cancer to which there was no meds or treatments to offer. My siblings and I are obviously mourning while trying to settle dads estate and continue our own professional lives. At first we couldn't bare the emotions of even stepping foot in our dads house, so we decided to sell it. So I posted his mobile home for sale for 3k on craigslist. Roger contacted me and said the home was for his daughter. This was on Tuesday. He wanted to meet up and buy the home that day. I told him no, as I was leaving out of town the very next day for an advanced conference full of non stop lecturing and that I would be unavailable. So we agreed on Saturday. Friday morning my siblings let me know that they decided they wanted to keep dad's house awhile longer and flip it themselves. When I let roger know that was the plan, he began to use vulgarities and calling names. I was shocked, as he was well aware that my father just passed and that we were all still grieving. Come to find out, he owns a business selling used mobile homes (I was given a sob story about his daughter needing a home). A good salesman would've offered a bit more than 3k if making the deal meant that much to him. All in all, I'd avoid this guy. He has no problem lying and from the behavior he exhibited, I'd say he is an emotional ticking time bomb. read more

Huron Modular Homes - Owner Rogers's response to me - Mobile Home Dealers Near Me - Port Huron, Michigan

I am only leaving one star because I have to. My fiancee and I are looking for a modular home to put on property so we went to see Roger. We talked to him first to find out what our options were. When we told him our budget, which was a decent budget, he pretty much laughed at us and said that there is no way we could help us. Coincidentally, we went to United Construction in Sandusky, MI and they said they would definitely be able to help us and their houses were just as nice. They were friendly and helpful and we will be doing business with them. His personality is sarcastic and rude and his only goal seems to be making money for himself and not taking time to help customers find what they need. He seems to enjoy crushing people's dreams while acting as though he is better than everyone.I will never go to that place again. read more
