Joe Safie is the owner of WATERBGONE and he installed a french drain around the perimeter of my basement, a sump pump and a back flow protector in 2014 -- after a once-in-a-lifetime "hundred year flood" that my city's sewer system was ill-prepared for. i decided that i would never again experience the upheaval this event caused me. let it be said that joe came out when other contractors would not during this time of high demand (due to massive flooding in my city and other surrounding areas!) and not even returning calls. joe gave me a fair price, scheduled the work immediately and knocked everything out in a day like a commando mission! it was amazing! late march/early april this year, i was on vacation. during my absence, some heavy, flooding rains came. when i returned home, i was shocked to find evidence of a small amount of water having left my sump pump, leaving a trail of sandy residue. i called joe, hoping he'd tell me what the problem might be and to direct me on how to resolve it. he did better than that! he personally came to inspect the pump. he swiftly identified the problem and said he would send somebody over in a few days to fix it. and it was! How many business owners would be compelled to look at work done ELEVEN YEARS AGO????? i can't think of any except Joe Safie from WATERBGONE. So whenever anyone needed recommendations for home improvement, we always turned them to 3 Feathers. My dad needed an old patio step demolished and rebuilt. He lives in an HOA so the HOA is very particular about the type of step that can be put in. We trusted Camille and his crew with helping my dad out. We figured he'd be in good hands since we were loyal customers with 3 Feathers. Camille and his crew no-show twice to my dad's house. These were scheduled appointments. The first no-show, we figured that they were just busy and it slipped their mind. Then the second no-show happened. There was no customer service in explaining themselves on why they were no-shows. This was very atypical of the experience that we had with Camille and his crew. After the second no show they never responded and haven't since. That was phone calls and emails. We also had our gutters fixed (last job by them for us) by them and realized that they were leaking in spots. We reached out to them to try to help us with what's going on and once again they ghosted us. So, not sure what's going on with their business. Very sad when we have worked with them so much.

Finding a skilled, honest, and trustworthy contractor these days can feel impossible, but we were…read morelucky enough to find Claudio. As first-time homeowners, we had a rough experience with another company that refinished our floors. After removing the carpeting from our stairs, they were left noticeably noisy, but the company went ahead and refinished them anyway without giving us a heads-up--leaving us no opportunity to explore other options for addressing the issue. On top of that, they left stain all over our trim, doors, and walls. We were frustrated and disappointed--until Claudio came in and made everything right. He meticulously added shoe molding throughout our entire upstairs, prepping, priming, and painting all the trim to perfection. On our staircase, he installed cove molding, carefully nailing it into place to help with the noise while also covering the gap between the treads and risers for a more seamless look. He then prepped, primed, and painted the risers and stringers, giving the staircase a beautifully finished appearance. He even went above and beyond, covering the stain left behind on our walls and doors, making everything look fresh and cohesive again. Claudio is not just incredibly skilled at his craft--he's also professional, hardworking, and truly cares about the quality of his work. He's fairly priced and willing to work with you if needed, which we really appreciated. He was so trustworthy that we felt completely comfortable giving him a key to our home while we were at work. We had raised flower beds made with decorative retaining wall bricks that became uneven and out of alignment over 20 years. Time for an update. We had Joe out in early spring to take measurements and make the estimate. What a guy, but I would expect nothing less from Sal and his crew! Sal and his team arrived in July and started working, tearing out the old beds including plant materials. Forms were made, concrete was poured and finished, all on day one. Next day they returned to expose the aggregate, stain and seal everything up. Beautiful result completed in just two days. Amazing work!
