Hurley Motors have been my mechanic since I moved to Abingdon over 3 years ago, finding a good mechanic you can trust is a toughy, Thankfully, I find the Hurley motors team a very pleasent bunch, and always try to do the best for you. Reasonably priced for quality work. If they need the car for a x amount of time, you can use one of their loan cars (nothing to get excited about though, its a just a few bangers that will get you from A to B, but still, not many mechnics will offer that service. Highly reccomend. They also have the Practical Van Hire franchise, with a good selection of SWB and LWB vans and reasonable prices. My wife and I have been taking both our cars to Hurley Motors for over ten years now, in that time we have had nothing but the best of customer care and service from them. We take both cars for MOT, follow up repairs and annual servicing to them every year. They very kindly send a reminder letter when MOT or servicing are due, which is much appreciated, and provide a loan car if/when required. When illness prevented me from being able to take the car in, they very kindly collected and returned the car to me. First class service from a pleasant caring team. read more

My experience has been very bad unfortunately. £60 of work was carried out that I didn't request. And my invoice included £110 (plus VAT!) for oil in respect of an oil change. I queried this and we came to an agreement as to my invoice amount before I left the garage. A month later I received my credit card bill and there were two amounts on there the one I authorised on the day and another processed a few weeks later FOR THE DIFFERENCE! Totally unauthorised payment. Hurley Motors dug out my credit card details and processed a payment without telling me or withour my permission. Totall disgusted.
