It's a nice little gas station/ice cream stand and hot deli. It's the only place around that I know of that still has somebody pump your gas. They also have really good soft service ice cream during the warmer months. They also have a hot deli that has really good chicken and sides. It's nice you can get gas and a chicken dinner on your way home from work. read more

Friendly, old-school service where they pump the gas for you. Cheapest place around to get gas. I drive a different way home just to give them my business. I took one star off because when you use a credit card, you have to go inside the store yourself to stand and wait until the gas is pumped to pay. One time I came to this gas station and the man who pumped my gas asked me if I had ever had sex in my smart car. (This is a common question as one would think, so I didn't hesitate to answer). The reason I am not giving all 5 stars is because the woman behind the counter yelled at the attendant for asking the question. I always hate to see employees bicker in front of me. I guess the days of being thrilled to get a giant oversized ice cream cone at Hilltop are gone. I was so looking forward to taking my 7 year old son there and watching his eyes get big when he got handed a huge cone. How disappointing. I would have paid a higher price for it. Now they are just the same as everyone else. The girl couldn't even get my order right. I told her what I wanted for my toppings, chocolate sprinkles and crushed butterfingers three times, and I got peanut butter cups instead. They weren't even busy. It was at 11:00am. We were in a hurry so I just settled for that. They don't have the peanut/toffee candied crunchies topping anymore, either. Sweeties does. They're closer. No need to go out of our way to get the big cones anymore. Hilltop isn't what it used to be. How sad. Another classic gone. read more

Hilltop is your basic country convenience store. They have guys outside to fill your tank and good made-to-order sandwiches inside. The BEST part of the place is the Ice Cream Pump. It's is their ice cream store. They serve soft serve and Hershey's hard ice cream. The amount of ice cream they give you is enormous! A small ice cream is only $1.85 and is the size of a double scoop at most other places. The service is also fast and friendly. If you are in the area, its a great place to stop! read more
