I paid my truck loan off June 2017. I requested a lien release. Huntington National Bank told me it would be processed. I never received it, and a few MONTHS later I moved to a new address. (Note: I placed a change of address forward mail request through the post office) On January 10th I requested a lien release again because I never received the first request. I was told that it would be processed. I called a couple weeks later (30JAN) to check on the request because I still hadn't received it. I was told that the lady I spoke with never even processed my call. The man I spoke with said he would put in another request for my lien release and it would take 4 business days. I called 6 business days later and the lady I spoke with was very apologetic and polite about placing my complaint that it still hadn't arrived and she told me it would only take a couple more days and it should be at my house my Friday (9 FEB). I called again on 12FEB because I still had not received the lien release. When I asked to speak with a manager the man I spoke with was very rude and was doing everything he could to prevent me from speaking with a manager until I had to get angry with him to request to speak with a manager. He finally sent me to a manager. The manager told me that he is looking into my situation and would call me back. He called me back on 13 FEB only to tell me that he hasn't received any new information and he would call me back the next day. He never called. I call the customer service line again today 14 FEB and I ask to speak with a manager. The lady I spoke with was very polite and said she would process another request. I asked to speak with a manager to discuss the situation and she transferred me to a manager. He was very rude and inclined that it's not their company's fault that it's the POST OFFICE fault. I told him that I have never had any issue with the post office and that I have always received all mall that has ever been sent to me, but the only mail I have never received is the email from Huntington National Bank that hold my lien release. I asked to speak with his supervisor since he couldn't guarantee me that my request would be processed. He said that I wasn't authorized to speak with anyone at this time. I asked him at what point in time will I be authorized to speak with a high level supervisor. He said that I'm not allowed to speak with anyone and I asked him why, he couldn't give me a reason. So I asked again why I couldn't speak with his supervisor and he told me that there wasn't one to talk to at the moment and he would submit my request to talk with his supervisor. I'm assuming it will be handled like all my other request and not get taken care of.
Every time that I called to talk with someone I ALWAYS confirmed my address, and I also ALWAYS asked that the lien release be sent fed-ex or through email or some way to track the product and was told that it isn't possible.
I also explained to them EVERY TIME I called them that my registration expired at the end of December and I have been driving on expired tags every day. I still have a job that I have to drive to, and I also have to drive my kids to and from school. I also explained that I can't receive a new registration for my vehicle until I have a new title stating the bank no longer owns my vehicle and I can't get a new title until I have a lien release. The last couple calls I had made the managers didn't seem to even pretend to care about my disposition. read more
