Matt did an outstanding job communicating with me about the details and date. Matt went above and beyond expectations to make sure that everything went well for our entire five hour event. Guests were able to sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous deck. The bar was great for more intimate conversations and the main room was spacious for the band and larger conversational groups. Everyone (approximately 100 guests) who attended the party enjoyed the venue very much.

There is quite the community among the members, and there are events like men's night, ladies night, and couples night every week once the weather is good! Last year they got an ice cream machine for summers and i'm counting down the days until it's back this season, especially with parlor city closing nearby this ice cream hits the spot! I frequent this place a lot and am normally greeted by friendly bartenders too! I love this place and saw there hasn't been a review in a while and wanted to contribute because this place is a hidden gem and a great place to play a quick 9, or bounce between the pool and the creek bed bar all day.

Last week I had the privilege of attending the CRMA Art Gala and had a wonderful time. Parking is hit or miss. The staff is helpful. The ambiance was on point. I was actually blown away by the food this time around-- there were different buffets; one Indian, another Chinese, German... etc. Not the menu I expected, definitely not the food I would have expected a country club in Eastern Iowa to nail but they did! Delish. Every time I'm here I'm amazed at how nothing is ever updated? Part of the CR Country Club's dated charm, I suppose. Same window treatments, same sconces, same light fixtures. Overall, the CR Country Club is a gem and a great spot to host a stately shindig.

Never has this ever happened in any other establishment. We also had 2 birthday parties there that both went great! The party hosts are proper hosts, super helpful and attentive. If you are a parent of young kids you know how crucial having that help is. All the staff knows my son by sight and are always welcoming and really tolerant and patient with my AuDHD son who constantly runs into every place he isn't supposed to. We feel like family here. I haven't gone on a hectic day (intentionally) so I can't speak to the rule enforcement on those days, but I can say that I have seen the strictness vary depending on the vibe, age, and amount of kids there. I appreciate this because it's annoying to have to parent other people's older kids around safety if they are being too rowdy around the little ones. They're all still just kids, though! The only improvement they could make is adding a slide or 2, but maybe that is in the future! Who knows! The most important thing to me is the intention and advocacy I have seen in management. The course had many issues, including a stinky atmosphere, bugs, unpleasant views, a confusing layout without clear directions, greens with brown spots, and no grass. Additionally, despite playing in the late weekday afternoon (4:30 pm Thursday), I was charged the full rate of $45.xx (including taxes), no twilight rate or 9 hole rate. The course closes at 7 pm. I cannot recommend this course to others, and I don't understand why some people rated it so highly. I usually don't write reviews but I thought I should this time to prevent others from making same mistake as I have. The staff, there was only 1 in the entire course, was friendly however.
