First impressions were not great this time- it advertised 10 carvery on a Sunday (small print until 4.30 and it was 6pm but no worries, 6pm is late for carvery) but that was ok as it had a €9 bar menu (advertised over the door ith no caveats). Got in, got menu-- nice selection and a €19.95 4 course but no sign of the €9 menu. We decided to have a starter anyway and it was a nice meal but we had to grab a recently vacated table to see the TV and even though the staff came over 5 times, no one wiped down the table which I thought was a bit slack, especially as they cleared it. Food was nice, and the staff were pleasant but it was a little slow, however I think this was down to a large group coming in late. Overall, decent spot but probably better at a quieter time.

Everyone i came into contact with during my two day stay were exceptional. As I am gluten intolerant I often find my requests for gluten free food are met with irritated looking smiles and eye rolls. They had a fantastic choice of food for me at every meal and I only had to ask the first time after that they offered me a gluten free option at every meal including cookies at my coffee break. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and the decor was modern and very clean. The business facilities were excellent and for this purpose I couldn't recommend it highly enough. I didn't get to use any leisure facilities or relax in the bar but it all looked good.

Most hotels offer shower only rooms after remodeling. Breakfast in the hotel was amazing; included fresh fruits and juices, the traditional Irish entrees or you could opt for pancakes. Every meal includes potatoes; good potatoes. Something special about this hotel is the lavender balm. I meant to request more before I left. You rub this on your wrists or neck before bed and it is supposed to relax you and promote better sleep. It smells so good.

I asked him are there any decent people left in Ireland and I was given a snigger as a reply. I'm quite disappointed that I was treated like this customer service and a small budget compassion needs to be addressed by Management. I am in the hospitality business myself and if any of my staff treat any customer with such coldness and lack of concern, I would be deeply upset. the first that people see on arrival and departure and I really feel that this gentleman has left down my overall experience shall I say is not the best.
