My family (including my parents) and I were lucky enough to snag an outside table on the eponymous Deck on a beautiful spring day during a day trip to Moonta and neighbouring Port Hughes, overlooking the dunes that give the housing development its name and out to the bright blue sea. The selection was standard cafe fare; burgers, schnitzels, salt and pepper squid, fish and chips etc at rather a higher price point than similar venues, however it was served quickly and everyone enjoyed their choices. I got a steak burger comprising good quality steak, bacon, cheese, egg, beetroot and tomato served with tasty chips. The family-friendliness of the location was well-demonstrated, given it was a family day with bouncy castle and live music to commence later in the afternoon, as well as high chair and kids menu availability. The coffee is simply amazing. I've eaten here a number of times and the Roo Burger is definitely a favourite. If you get in early enough (before 11:30m) the breakfasts are very reasonably priced and have a plentiful serving. There's always a number of locals in there, so for a small town you know that the food is good.
