The crust had a sponge like taste and texture. I will not be trying this pizza again.

Okay, where to start?? To begin with, we wanted to be fair so we got a selection of items to try. I…read morewill detail them below for you guys. First things first, the owners are super nice. Scott seems quieter and Jill is friendly and social. The truck seemed very clean inside and out and they set up an outside tent to keep the heat off of those waiting, which I thought was nice. I will grab a pic next time lol And yes, there will be a next time, but let me get into the food now. I ordered an Italian sausage on a bun, a Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich with sweet peppers and giardiniera, a Picanha steak sandwich, and some Scott's eggs, and I asked for sides of all the sauces to try. ~ Italian sausage: I love me a grilled dog or sausage. There is just something about that crispness and light char that feels quintessential for a good encased meat product. That said, the flavor was about average for the sausage itself. It wasn't bad, it wasn't phenomenal, it was decent, tasty, and filling. ~ Chicago-style Italian beef: Yum! The giardiniera had a little bit more of a kick than I am used to, and the sweet peppers could have used some grilling, but that was a good Italian beef. It looks like I won't have to shlep over to the butt-end of Orlando for Portillo's anymore. I'm not mad about that lol ~ Picanha steak sandwich: This one was a mixed bag. LOVED the garlic bread, the meat was REALLY good, but there were some cartilage pieces I had to pluck out onto a napkin. They took my attention away from the sandwich itself, but the sandwich was so damn good if I ignore that part. Also zero shame about licking garlic bread grease off my fingers after. ~ Scott's eggs: Dude... I had no idea those "scotch egg" things were this good. And particularly Scott's version, with its encasement of sage sausage and bacon. **NOTE** CALL AHEAD FOR THESE - THEY TAKE ABOUT 25MIN TO COOK AND ARE MADE FRESH! This way they will be ready when you expect them. Oh, and you are gonna want that second one in the deal, I promise. ~ Sweet and creamy bbq sauce: Not bad. A bqq marries mayo-type sauce that goes well with the meats. ~ Lil' bit of Kick Sauce: Ha! "Lil' bit" my foot. A tiny taste cleared my sinuses and had me grabbing water. Granted I am a lightweight with spices. However, it had a good flavor and was tasty. ~ Tzatziki sauce: About average. I felt like it could use a little more flavor (I'm a tzatziki person so I'm fussy) but I loved that even the little container had a fair amount of cucumber pieces in it. I'm a stickler looking out for that but for me, it makes or breaks a good tzatziki. Overall all, I'm going with 5 stars. While yes, there were a few bumps in the road (I'm looking at YOU, my dear Picanha steak slices) I also understand that sometimes things happen. I will be returning to see if it's a pattern (and to get more of those eggs and that Italian beef). I recommend giving them a try :)

At this point, it wouldn't feel like a road trip without it! The menu has something for everyone -- salads, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and desserts -- but we always go for the pizza. It's consistently served hot, the ingredients taste fresh, and the crust has that perfect crispy bite. One of the sweetest parts is that, somehow, we've had the same waitress every single time we've visited over the years. She is absolutely the sweetest and always makes the experience feel welcoming and familiar. The restaurant itself has so much character, too, with funny signs, little trinkets, and old photos decorating the space. It really adds to that cozy, old-school mom-and-pop charm. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions. There's also plenty of parking and a good mix of booth and standard table seating. After all these years, Kelsey's is still a favorite family road-trip tradition. If you're passing by Exit 220, definitely add this place to your stop!

Caesar Salad was delicious, one of the best I've had with plenty of croutons and dressing proportioned perfectly. The pizza was exceptional well. The crust was very light and crunchy, baked perfectly. Very reasonably priced. Well worth the visit. We will return.

Picking up my wife from the airport after a grueling 10-day separation calls for a celebration--or…read moreat least some fried fish. On a complete whim, after spotting enough billboards to convince me today was the day, we pulled into Dixie Crossroads. Right off the bat, the building welcomes you with an outdoor lobby attraction: clusters of people leaning over railings, completely transfixed by giant koi fish like they're watching the season finale of a prestige drama. Inside, the vibe is an immediate breath of fresh air--warm, open, and buzzing with the happy chatter of people aggressively bonding over seafood. We were seated immediately near the front door and handed our drinks, accompanied by an unexpected divine intervention: a complimentary bowl of powdered doughnut holes. Let me be clear. I have zero memory of what we actually ordered. It had fish in it, presumably. It was great! But those powdered doughnut holes? Absolute sorcery. We had to channel every ounce of our marital self-control not to inhale the entire bowl before our entrees even had a chance to show up. Great food, wonderful atmosphere... but those powdered doughnuts are the real reason to make the trip. Greatness with sugar on top. Literally!

This is a cute little pizza shop in a strip mall - I stopped in to grab a bite to eat while traveling through the area on my way to the airport. The restaurant dining area was clean and free of any clutter and the hostess and server was extremely friendly and attentive and was quick to welcome me and take my drink and food order. I ordered the 9' "meat lover's" pizza minus the bacon, the ingredients were kinda clunky but plentiful - although the restaurant wasn't busy it seemed my order was somewhat rushed it was a little undercooked in my opinion and lacked any favor even when I covered it with the red pepper flakes - the thin crust seemed to be premade and lacked any chew and definitely wasn't crispy very generic and bland - the sauce was just mediocre I figured it came from a can and also lacked any complexity. This is not the pizza I was expecting or hoping for and it's doubtful that I'll return anything soon. They have a number of positive things going on here, it's a cute venue with amazing service but the quality of the food and preparation could use some work...
