First off, the people are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious. I had a gyro bowl with zesty feta, harissa hummus, veggies and a mix of tatziki and jalapeno sauce. My eldest son savored every bite of his crispy chicken and shawarma chicken bowl. My youngest son had a gyro pita with just corn and lettuce mix. He Iikes a very simple meal. Staff was friendly but the food was subpar. The good: chicken shawarma, yellow rice, and hummus. The bad: the crispy chicken had a nice crispy coating but the chicken itself was rubbery and had texture like it was raw. Stopped to try out Hummus Republic for lunch with my husband. Walking in we were warmly greeted. The layout is similar to a lot of fast casual "Chipotle" style restaurants. The menu is bright and tells you exactly what to do, you can build your own bowl, pita wrap, or salad. They also have sandwiches and sides. I went with a build your own bowl. Couscous was my base with chicken shawarma. I added traditional hummus, spicy hummus, a variety of veggies, for sauce grandmas hot sauce and a side of tzatziki and Moroccan hot sauce. We also had a side of sweet potato fries. Starting with the sweet potato fries, those bad boys didn't even make it home. They were deliciously seasoned and so crispy, legit the best sweet potato fries I've ever had. My bowl was a 10/10 everything had so much flavor and the perfect amount of spiciness. If you're not a huge fan of spicy definitely stay away from the hot sauces because they have some heat. The portions were huge, neither of us finished our bowls. Hummus republic is a great addition to the Delaware area. I'll definitely be back. read more

Went here to try it out. Very friendly service and they made my falafels and crispy chicken fresh. Fresh ingredients were restocked by them when some items didn't look as fresh (rice wrapped in grape leaves) unprompted I like that. Didn't seem as busy as I thought it would be but I was glad. Lots of choices and surprisingly enough the chickpea croutons were wonderful! Only thing was that they had an ad that said to download their app for a free bowl, but it never appeared in the app so I feel like that was a little misleading. Will come again. read more

Hummus Republic reminds me of a middle man between brassica and chipotle. The food is fresh, delicious, and healthy but nothing crazy fancy like brassica. I thought that their menu was expansive so anyone would enjoy their food. I really liked their falafel so I highly recommend that! Looked for a new place to try in Delaware with my brother, and found this great Mediterranean spot! The staff was so friendly and explained the ordering process along with some of the items we weren't familiar with. The chicken shawarma was seasoned perfectly paired with all their fresh ingredients, the bowl I made was so delicious. I got a side of pita chips that paired so well I'll definitely be coming back just for those. We spoke briefly with the manager who was so welcoming and shared how some of the items on the menu are made. He was very kind to offer us a side of sweet potato fries that were so flavorful I think the best I've had. He also gave us samples of their hummus to try (they make it daily). Along with the hummus they offer a variety of sauces that really elevate a meal. Highly recommended! read more

We visited this location for the first time and will not return. The food is alright and we would visit again for that, but customer service was some of the worst I've experienced in a very long time and because of that, we will not visit again. I'd much rather drive further down the road to Agape. The workers were all eating when we waked in and didn't even wash hands before they started getting our food-they just put on gloves. One employee even wiped her mouth with her gloved hand and then proceeded to scoop out our food. They ran out of one of the proteins and while they gave my husband a couple of different proteins instead. The food was all cold, even the meat. I'm not even eating more than 3 bites of mine because honestly, I don't want to be up all night with food poisoning. Oh-and the employees were complaining about the customer who had been in there before us. Incredibly unprofessional. I wish this place would succeed but it absolutely won't with service like that. read more

I had the pleasure of dining at the new Mediterranean spot in town.. "Hummus Republic", and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles from behind the counter who were very knowledgeable with the different choices on the menu. The menu strikes the perfect balance between traditional Mediterranean flavors and modern creativity. Our dishes were vibrant, beautifully presented, and bursting with freshness! The Greek sandwiches were out of this world, they were perfectly situated, with just the right amount of taziki, tomatoes, and fresh spinach. You could also have grilled onions, and jalapeños on it as well. Then I was asked if I would like to try any the signature hummus dips, I tried 2 of them, the olive (purple) and the spicy (burnt orange). I apologize, but I don't remember the names), however, let's just say they were to die for! The owner then offered for us to try a couple more which one was green and white which had feta cheese then his very own favorite which was a Smokey flavored hummus (a traditional light yellow), but ultimately, I have to agree.....it was delightful indeed. I was able to try each and every hummus and not one was like the other, so to pick a favorite was difficult. I was later informed that the hummus was made fresh daily in house and the freshness, with a side of crispy pita bread, of course shined through the taste. Last but definitely NOT LEAST..... the fresh infused lemonade was an awesome treat! There was one with strawberry, one with pomegranate, another with cucumber jalapeño lemonade, regular lemonade, and the best for last, ginger, turmeric lemonade-and WOW...you can actually see the turmeric. Service was exceptional--attentive without being intrusive--and the staff and owner gave thoughtful recommendations tailored to what I enjoy. The pacing of the meal was perfect, and the atmosphere made it feel both relaxed and special. Whether you're looking for a cozy date night, a gathering with friends, or simply a delicious meal that transports you to the Mediterranean coast, this restaurant is a must-visit. I was really looking forward to the opening of Hummus Republic in Columbus, and we finally got a chance to try it this weekend. They offer a great variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl, which came with spicy hummus and olive hummus--both were sooo good!
