I put money down on a Deno receiver. It shared on the top that it has 145 watts per channel. I believed that until I called Denon. And that stated that thee 145vm watts. Is is you have 6 oh m speakers. They no longer make 6 ohm speakers. AWESOME SALES GUY I totally don't remember our sales guy's name but I wish I did. Younger, kinda cute, tattoos maybe? I can't remember... Not only did he get us a good price on jewelry (necklace for me) and a watch for husband (who forgot to pack one, and heaven forbid his wrist be naked a couple of days!), but Mr. Friendly Sales Rep also answered our touristy questions. As passerbys just driving through town, we had seen this place the night before after checking in to our hotel but they were already closed. After a night at the casino we decided to drop in before finding breakfast and moving on our way. He suggested eating on the pier in Trinidad, about half an hour away. That was the best advice we received on the trip! The store itself is large and seems pretty well-organized. A good variety of items! Years ago, it was kind of ok to shop at pawnshops as sometimes there were some good deals to be found. But, over time these stores have evolved into terrible places where you can pay more than new prices for a rattlecan painted Squier Stratocaster or a Sawzall that looks like someone used it to cut up dead bodies. Well, there are a few exceptions and one of these is Humboldt Pawn in Eureka, California. Humboldt Pawn has a lot going for it, and they have been in business since 1999. There is ample free parking, it is a huge shop with good lighting and no electric gate to be buzzed through, and there are plenty of employees to wait on you. These folks are friendly without the usual crummy pawnshop attitude, and they keep the store in great shape. The displays are tidy, and they do not have junky crap lying around and getting dusty. This is a great start, and they also have a lot of desirable stuff for the discerning audiophile, cyclist, hunter, fisherman, or musician. For the latter, they have just about everything imaginable. There are guitars and basses from entry level Yamahas and Ibanez on up to high dollar Martin acoustics, Gibson electrics, and even a Rickenbacker 4001 bass. They also have amplifiers in all shapes and sizes, effect pedals, and accessories galore. I was intrigued by some of their Honda generators, which are a lifesaver if you ever have an outdoor gig with no place good to plug into. Clean power! I lucked out when I shopped there and found a very nice vintage BOSS CS-2 Compressor Sustainer pedal, which was made in Japan. These are truly wonderful pedals, and it came in at a very decent price. This place is freaking awesome. I had been diamond hunting for several days in jewelry stores both in the Bay Area and in Eureka. I visited one jewelry store this afternoon and explained what I was looking for. In order to meet my tight budget as well as time crunch the owner very thoughtfully suggested I check out the local Pawn Shops since they carry loose diamonds. Now I had never been into a pawn store before so I didn't have a clue what to expect. Wow!!!! What a find! This store is nice, & clean, with an awesome selection of stunning jewelry at fantastic prices. The people at the counter are super friendly and professional. I went in looking for a camera because my favorite one broke. They folks in there were helpful, friendly and found me exactly what I needed. This is the best pawnshop I have ever been to by far. So many things to love about this place: Helpful staff, good prices, clean store, good selection, and always parking! I stop in here every chance get to say hi and peruse the always changing selection of items they have out. I would like to say, this place is kinda bullsht... some of the employees are very nice, maybe 2 or 3 of them, other than that, if you want to be looked at like your at a lower level in life then they are go do business with them. 99% of the time they are very rude, and only help if you look like you have something useful to them, if you don't look like you have anything useful you will be put on the back burner till one of the I'm to good for you employees decide they want to help you,,,, Do NOT BRING GOLD or jewelry there to have looked at or plan on being told they are fake without even checking the karat of the gold, I had to force the stupid employee to check the gold I had with his test kit, after he just looked at it and told me fake fake fake fake real,,, I'll give you $20. for your 7 grams of 14k..... I had an alternate pawn shop test the ring they said was steel due to no mark,,, well if you didn't know they do resize rings and sometimes do not replace the mark, well the steel ring is actually 18th white gold...
