This is located at the gateway from Etobicoke into downtown Toronto, and is an absolutely beautiful and truly amazing Park, and is as iconic as it is enjoyable. PPP has great memories for me personally, and is a place which I come back to visit whenever I'm showing someone around Toronto, and pretty much whenever I'm in town.

Cars aren't allowed in the park during that time, but it's an amazing experience. The trees were gifted from Japan many decades ago and have continued to bloom each season. It's an experience everyone should experience for the beauty and transience of it. The park does get crowded, but nice to see everyone coming together to enjoy the fresh air and views.

We spent about an hour and a half exploring trails after walking through some of the more flat and open terrain. The trails are extensive for being located in the city. At points it seems pretty isolated and it feels almost remote in some parts. We went in the middle of a weekday and there were many children out and about in the park area, while the trails were more quiet. The trails were easy to navigate and had some hilly options if you wanted a more challenging hike. The park is large, and the hour and a half we were there, we really only mostly explored the hiking trails- which are easily 5 stars, considering how awesome it is to have access to something like this in the heart of the city.

There are plenty of interesting places to stop along the way: Ontario Place, several beaches and parks, and of course you can easily go to the CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, Saint Lawrence Market, take a ferry to the Toronto Islands, etc. We were lucky enough to enjoy some of the Redpath Waterfront Festival during our outing and got to see Thomas Too the Tugboat. If you like to bike, I can't imagine why you would not take the time to enjoy such a wonderful bike path. If I live in Toronto I would make ample use of it.

We walked over to the Martin Goodman trail, which parallels The Boardwalk, to avoid the heat. It's a lovely, winding trail shaded by trees. Dogs are still able to jump on to the rocks by the entrance fence and out of the area. Water is available (lake). Wooded area for some shade in the summer. Picnic tables and benches present. Etobicoke Yacht Club has its own gate entrance from the club grounds. Area by entrance gate can be muddy after heavy rain as it is bare earth and not grassy. Frequented by many commercial dog walkers with five or more dogs with them of varying sizes and types.

A dog named Stretch used to be there when I was a kid and I was deathly afraid of that dog!!! I guess he is long gone now....Our neighbors The Sendeckys used to live there as well, their son Mikey was a science teacher at Western tech but he too is gone now...Old Mrs Sendecky was from the Ukraine and used to invite us in for cold milk and cookies!!!!! Rennie Park is a deceptive little park. Approaching it from the north end off Morning and…read moreRunnymede, you're greeted by the usual family-friend park affair, a play ground, plenty of tables, and trees. But continuing further south, you reach the large soccer, and baseball field for the Swansea school; a favourite area for sports fans, and dog owners to share and enjoy. The hill near the school in the winter is one of the ultimate tobogganing hills in west end Toronto! Even further south from the soccer fields leads to a hidden little gem, Catfish pond which is surrounded by dense grass, trees and when it rains, mud! It's a wonderful little walk to take in the morning, and you can loop up and around the creek back to the school, or continue down Ellis. The only down side of this little gem is the mud near Catfish Pond, making the trek a bit messy for those ill prepared (although the brick path way in the mud on the east near the creeks helps). Dog owners should beware of By-Law Officers unaware that the park is actually off-leash according to the City of Toronto's website, and may have to inform the officers as such. All in all, I love this place, and it's much better than making the jog to High Park in the morning when I'm short on time.

This park is my favourite of several small parks that sit just behind Bloor in the village…read more Actually, the whole planning of these parks (I think there are four or five of them) are really cool, because they run parallel with Bloor so if you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the village, you can just pop into one of the parks but still walk in the direction you need to go. I like this park the best because it doesn't have a high nanny factor during the day, not that I don't like kids or nannies (I've been both) but it's just that when you want a moment of solitude, children are not always the best people to be around. In the summer people sprawl under the big oaks in this park like you wouldn't believe. Or maybe you would. Are you a sprawler?

Right by the parking lot and washroom facilities there is a small pond with a bridge where many…read moreducks and geese flock to since there's people feeding them bread. The Humber River Recreational Trail goes through this park. It's a nice walk by the Humber River with lots of trees and various trails that stem from the main one. There are 2 paths; one for walking and the other for mixed use (walking, cycling, jogging). Dogs must be kept on a leash and there's plenty of signs posted advising of coyotes in the area.

There are spacious areas of grass great for picnics and photoshoots. I went on a Friday afternoon and amount of people was not a whole lot which helped with social distancing. There are a lot of geese near the pond with the turtle statue so walking in one perimeter of it was not a positive experience.
