Awesome, awesome experience for me and my dog Big Daddy…read more my big, 2.5 yr old boy was going crazy when new people came around. He was jumpy, it was hard for me to control him and it was offensive to others because he weighs 65 lbs. i like fixing things, so we put ourselves through training with Mike & Champion Dog Training. At the first lesson i was excited and felt great leaving, but during the first week i was scared to enforce because doggie was sensitive to the collar. Mike gave me a little pep talk over the phone and we made it to our 2nd lesson. I cannot get him into a down/stay using force, Mike says Im soft on him, but he's doing great with everything else we learned. Stay, Stand, Sit, Heel, he's a very smart boy & im very proud. We have continued practicing even after completing the 4 week course. I now feel confident I can control him and there has been a shift in Big D., like he knows I expect more and is waiting on my que. Even his dog walker said he has really improved and she did not know he was training.

Before training, I was dealing with the typical unruly issues -- inconsistent listening, selective hearing, dragging me when on a walk and I just couldn't trust her. Now my dog is calm, responsive, respectful and actually a joy to be around. He taught specific commands and she follows them immediately. There's eye contact, focus, structure and-- there's confidence. The training gave my dog clarity on what I want from her. The difference in behavior is night and day. Update - October 1, 2026…read more I'm updating my review because there have been some developments since my original post. As of today, I still have not had direct contact with the owner who sold me my puppy, and I have still not received a response from Puppy Support regarding my claim. The Florida location also no longer answers my calls. I did open a dispute, and shortly after that I was contacted. Because they are now in contact with me, I decided to cancel the dispute and give them an opportunity to address the situation directly. I do want to be fair and acknowledge that the owner's sister has been communicating with me. She had nothing to do with the original transaction, but so far she has been professional, kind, and helpful in communicating with me, and I appreciate that. At this point, I'm still waiting for a response from Puppy Support and for the situation to be resolved. I'll continue to update this review as things progress.
