A once-in-a-lifetime retreat experience -- truly unforgettable! I had the privilege of attending Huma's yoga and mindfulness retreat in Turkey this past October with my sister, and it exceeded every expectation. Huma is an extraordinary yoga teacher -- deeply knowledgeable, intuitive, and inspiring. The retreat was perfectly bookended with a stay in Istanbul, where Huma curated an amazing experience for us -- from a stay at a beautiful hotel by the Bosphorus to private tours of the city's rich history and the most authentic, delicious Turkish meals. The heart of the retreat was at the Six Senses Kaplankaya, which I can confidently say is one of the most breathtaking and luxurious properties I've ever visited -- and I've traveled extensively. The panoramic views, the serene setting, the spa, the stunning rooms, and the out-of-this-world food at every meal made it truly feel like a sanctuary. Each day was beautifully balanced -- morning and evening yoga, time to reflect alone or connect with others, and optional day excursions that were seamlessly organized. We visited ancient towns like Ephesus and Miletus and even took a day trip to the island of Kos in Greece. Every aspect -- from the guides to transportation -- was thoughtfully arranged and executed flawlessly. And perhaps the most special part of all -- the group of people drawn to this retreat were incredible. Kind, open-hearted, and soulful. We formed real connections, and many of us are still in touch and close months later. Huma has created something truly rare -- a retreat that nourishes the body, mind, and spirit, set in the most idyllic locations and curated with so much heart and precision. I couldn't recommend this retreat more. If you have the chance to go, take it. You'll come back transformed. read more

My husband and I just had the most amazing experience at our first yoga retreat ever which was planned by Huma and her team. Every detail was taken care of. We met the most wonderful group of humans on this trip. It will be a lifelong memory. We came home refreshed, relaxed, and committed to a meditation practice. Huma also offered a Primordial Sound training class. We're so glad we took it and highly recommend anyone on one of her retreats takes advantage of this offering. This retreat was at Blue Osa in Costa Rica. She offers retreats at other locations which we plan on joining. We can't thank you enough, Huma, Jonathan, Madisyn, and Jessica! read more

Let me start off by first saying this review is long over due but even more deserved. I have been a student of Huma's since about 2021 after reconnecting with my local studio, Ekam, having not been in years. I have been a regularly practitioner of yoga since 2006, having practiced all over Orange County, San Diego, Oahu, and Los Angeles. Over the years I have had many favorite instructors connecting to each one's style of yoga in its own way and further deepening my appreciation and passion for it. I believe I stumbled into her class one Friday afternoon after a particularly stressful week and almost immediately knew I found a new yoga home in Orange County. Her style is a combination of everything I have ever connected to in yoga with the perfect balance between spirituality and physical movement, seamlessly connecting the two with very intentional and choreographed sequences, clear and explicit cuing, and an unrivaled taste in music that feels very organic to each flow she creates. Having practiced yoga for the better part of 16 years I had never been called to a yoga retreat for some reason but in March of 2023 the calling was louder than ever and I knew I had to take advantage of the last open space available in her retreat taking place on the Osa Peninsula, in Costa Rica. It was one of the most profound and transformational experiences that I have ever had in my life. On the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica, one day became two, the peace and ability to breathe without worrying how quickly the passage of time felt was renewing and life changing. The retreat was the perfect blend of yoga, meditation, activity, and leisure. It is an experience I will forever be so grateful for and I hope that I can make it again one day. If it wasn't for Huma's influence and guidance I may have never pushed my self to do my own yoga teacher training and become a yoga teacher. I am extremely grateful for Huma's guidance and deep connection to yoga. I look forward to each and every one of her classes and cannot recommend her enough. With Gratitude, Ryan read more

Wow! I can't begin to tell you what an incredible experience it was to join Huma on her "Joy and Abundance" retreat in Turkey. Huma is an amazing teacher, and put so much thought and care into planning every detail of the retreat. She guided us with suggestions on travel arrangements, set everything up so it was seamless and easy, and the resort that we stayed in was 5 STARS - the most beautiful resort I have ever been to!! The service and food were beyond wonderful as well. I can't stop raving about this to all of my friends and family. My favorite part was meditating on a platform above the sea every morning while the sun rose, and then having a great yoga workout before a delicious breakfast buffet. Every moment was perfect. Thank you, Huma!! read more

I've had the privilege of practicing with Huma at RA Yoga for quite some time, and recently attended her Infinite Possibilities retreat at Blue Osa in Costa Rica! She organized the magical experience with such care. The meditation she taught us in has followed me home and will be a lifetime practice for me. I was given a personalized mantra that is so meaningful. The yoga practices were well planned, made for all levels and the entire experience was such a joy! I met a very special group of people. Thank you Huma. I can't wait for the next one. read more

Huma is hands down the best yoga teacher I have ever come across in my 30 years of practicing. She embraces all ancient limbs of Yoga practice along with modern day science explaining how and why the poses enhance your physical and mental health. Off the mat she is kind, friendly, intelligent and professional. Her retreats are meticulously curated so that you come away renewed and with new insights into your life. I have gone on two of her retreats now and each time I have experienced a reset. I come home with a full heart and feeling lighter and more present in my mind and body. read more

I just got back from one of Huma's yoga retreats in Costa Rica (Infinite Possibilities) and I already can't wait for the next. She ran it so flawlessly, perfectly in sync with the physical and spiritual needs of each of her students and with the incredible staff at Blue Osa, allowing my only thoughts to be on self enrichment through yoga and it's philosophies. Huma seamlessly weaves into your yoga practice her immense knowledge about the physical and spiritual benefits of yoga positions and styles, which helped motivate and deepen my practice. read more

Huma is a true diamond in the modern world of yoga. Her presence carries radiant joy and love, and she has a genuine passion to increase the well-being of those around her via holistic modalities. The first time I took one of her classes I could immediately tell she had a very mature and deep understanding of yoga. Her credentials (500 HR YTT, certified yoga therapist, etc.) allow her to bring a level of guidance and wisdom that isn't commonly found in most class settings. I was so impressed with her teaching that I decided to go on one of her Costa Rica yoga retreats, and it was truly life-shifting (I mean that seriously). I came back home feeling like a new/better person. If you need a mental/physical reset, I would highly recommend attending one. Thank you Huma for following your calling and blessing us with your humility, love, and teaching. read more

I have been going to Huma's classes at our local yoga studio and find her sequence really wonderful and liberating. Her "flow and chill" class is one I never try to miss. If you're a fan of yin yoga, you'll love her yin sequence as it really opens you up! I (21) recently attended her yoga retreat in Costa Rica and gained a lot out of the experience. As a long-time yoga practitioner, this experience was incredibly powerful for my yoga practice both physically and mentally--and I made a lot of friends along the way. Her retreat attracted a diverse crowd from across the globe and of all age groups. The practice is inclusive to all experience-levels and she is present with her students needs and pace. Overall, the retreat served as a wonderful respite from the business of everyday life and opened my eyes up to new wonders. Huma is a dedicated yoga teacher and does a lot for her students. Her online yoga has been a savior to my practice amidst the pandemic & I'm lucky to have her as a yoga teacher! read more

I went to Huma's class at Ekam Yoga at Newport Beach, LA. The facilities were very nice, but Huma was amazing. The flow of her Vinyasa was flawless and effortless. The class had experts and newbies, yet everybody was able to follow the instructions to the extent of their abilities. Huma moved to every part of the room and demonstrated the moves as she spelled out the instructions. I highly recommend Huma's class. read more

Huma is an incredibly wise and genuine yoga teacher, leader and guru. Her knowledge about the connections between the mind, body and spirit are influential and deeply transformative. Attending her yoga retreat was the best decision I've made for my health and well-being! Huma's wisdom and teachings have profoundly impacted my yoga practice on and off the mat. I highly recommend booking a class and yoga retreat with Huma as she will always leave your soul feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to embrace life to its fullest potential! read more

Huma is a fantastic yoga and meditation instructor who I have recommended to many friends. She gives clear cues on alignment for each asana and options to "dial down" or "dial up" our practice based on ability and desire for rigor in the class. She provides a healing, accepting space within each class and encourages practicing "true yoga" or the wisdom to practice to the intensity that is best for your body. As a testament to her intentional preparation and gentle presence, her "Infinite Possibilities" retreat felt like an opportunity to reflect and reset my nervous system. It was an invaluable experience and one I would recommend to anyone looking to re-align themselves and connect with nature. I have already found myself putting some of the tools I learned from the retreat into practice in my daily life and am grateful to Huma her inspiring teaching style and science-backed knowledge about yoga and meditation. read more

Huma is a wonderful yoga instructor. I joined her one week retreat in Costa Rica in early March. This was my 4th time in Costa Rica. I was so pleasantly surprised about the amazing place she chose for her retreat. It was a total heaven from the yoga platform we practiced under trees with birds to the 1-minute walk to the beach! She was very attentive to every detail from our arrivals to all the delicious food which were offered to us at the beach every night. We had two yoga classes every day. She was able to customize her class to participants' different levels of yoga level. She is a very experienced instructor. This was easily seen from her classes. She took every extra step to make us comfortable and advance our yoga practice. For example, she made time to meet before classes to show several of us how to modify poses for our levels. Our morning classes were intense flow classes, and the night classes were restorative yoga. I loved both classes and the restorative classes were just perfect for the beginning of the nights. After a week of yoga, I felt like my body was totally relaxed and I had an extra inch of height! She was also very relaxing and accommodating. We were getting news about Covid-19 cases in the US while we were there and things were changing quickly. She was an amazing support during that time. I can't imagine a better yoga teacher! When we returned to our homes in different countries, she began offering free yoga classes twice a day via her Instagram account. My work moved to online with "stay at home" order immediately after I came to US. Her online classes were a big help (and still they are) to reduce the stress and remind me to take deep breaths after I returned. Thank you Huma! read more
