Now about the food, we had a la carte because pre fix was not inspiring at all. We got escargot, open ravioli with crab, and for the main we ordered cod and veal "en torture" (cheek, tongue, and sweetbreads) We only admired the ravioli. After we asked for the check the waiter asked us about our meal experience and I did share my concern about nobody paying any attention to us, just joking behind the counter, food was not up to the expectation as well - no action. The restaurant has a nice classy ambiance but if you are looking for more attentive service, and creative food, I would recommend to seek elsewhere. This should not be on the Michelin guide

I was in a party of six celebrating a birthday, and we were seated in the back, near the bar. The hostess is a genuine delight; warm, funny, social and yet not pushy. Nome doesn't work with a menu card, instead they offer fresh plates based on chef's inspiration. We went for appetisers, mains and desserts. The apps and mains were presented beautifully, and there was plenty of choice (apps: bruscheta, shrimp croquettes, salmon tartare, mains: lamb, steak two ways, Iberico pig, fish or a veggie pasta). The house wines they serve alongside the dishes, are decent. Sauvignon, Chardonnay, mainly. The portion sizes are perfect. You don't overeat, but you'll definitely be full. Beautiful presentation, can't stress that enough. Bonus: every table gets free water (still and fizzy, both Chaudfontaine), free bread (with butter and oil), coffees come with digestive biscuits. When presented with the bill, we were also given shot glasses with an amaretto/orange juice mix. Delicious. If you are in Antwerp and fancy a great meal, please go to Nome. Hilariously fantastic hostess, great food, cool atmosphere, delicious French/Italian/Belgian cuisine. Definitely a must!

He's a gorgeous man with a love for food. And that's something you can taste in his food. It is exquisite! The only downside this time was I had two fish bones in my pheasant. When I told the waiter he didn't really make anything of it. A small apology would have been nice. But as I said the food is exquisite so accidents do happen sometime I know. We took the matching wines and I can only say, if you go and eat there, I would strongly advice you to do the same. The wines and food are a match made in heaven.

Quite an uninteresting experience that didn't live up to our expectations at all. I need to add that the entire meal took very long. Probably this is due to the chef working alone in the kitchen. We were in excellent company of relatives we don't see often enough as they live abroad. But if you don't want to sit in a restaurant from 8.30 PM till past Midnight, for a disappointing 3 course meal, avoid this place.

The 'old…read moreworld' friendly (but stiff-ish) service is something else, since I'm slowly getting used to cool waiters who take a seat at your table and crack jokes - not at Brasseurs. It's never awkward (no need for formal dress - no worries) but yeah it's an old-fashioned kind of place. Love it.
