I did start with one lawyer, then was moved to a different one who left the firm and I closed out my case with a third person. I can confidently say they were all very nice and I didn't have an issue with any of them. I received a text saying there was a hearing scheduled. I received a video on Nov 7 explaining my charges. I had many questions on this but had no way of addressing them as my court date was the day after. At no time did I have the opportunity to sit down with or have a telephone conversation with my appointed attorney to explain any of my medical issues or concerns. Or to ask questions on the case. The first time I met him was when we arrived at court for my sentencing. To which I feel I could've gotten the same results if I had represented myself. I self surrendered as instructed by the court, but was refused on medical grounds, when i contacted my attorney's office their response was " We have withdrawn as your law firm so we can't contact the court on your behalf". SO BASICALLY WHEN I REALLY NEEDED SUPPORT THEY CUT AND RUN. I have spoken with many people convicted of a dui and no other attorney has dropped them before the proceedings have concluded.
