Extremely Disappointing Legal Representation -- Two Lost Cases and a $21,000 Judgment…read more My experience with this law firm was financially devastating and deeply disappointing. I hired this firm to represent me in two Wells Fargo debt cases, trusting that they would carefully evaluate my situation and develop an appropriate legal strategy before taking the cases to court. Instead, I feel I was misled, inadequately represented, and left to deal with the consequences. Before hiring the firm, the attorney's assistant repeatedly assured me that they never lose cases. Those assurances gave me confidence in their ability to handle my situation. Both cases were ultimately lost. I paid the firm separately for the two Wells Fargo accounts. I was told that the separate payments were necessary because the court dates would be separate. I believe clients deserve a clear explanation of fees and services, especially when two matters involve the same creditor. The most important issue was that our divorce decree assigned these debts to my ex-husband. I expected my attorney to address that fact and make it a central part of the legal strategy. Instead, the approach I understood the firm to be using was to question the Wells Fargo representative about the fine print and whether she had been present when the rules were written. That approach failed. Both cases were lost, and I was left facing a judgment of approximately $21,000. I am extremely frustrated that the issue of my ex-husband's responsibility for these debts under our divorce decree was not adequately addressed during the representation. I understand that no attorney can guarantee a win. However, repeatedly assuring a prospective client that a firm never loses cases creates expectations that should not be made lightly. Clients deserve honest assessments, competent preparation, realistic explanations of their options, and a strategy tailored to the facts of their cases. I was also troubled by the lack of publicly available information that would have helped me evaluate the attorney before hiring him. I later learned that he graduated in 1973. His age is not the issue; transparency, communication, and the quality of legal representation are. What has made this experience even worse is the lack of accountability afterward. Despite the outcome and the substantial financial consequences I am facing, I did not receive an apology. I now have to deal with a judgment of approximately $21,000, along with the stress and uncertainty that come with it. I feel that I paid for legal representation that did not adequately protect my interests, and I am left wondering whether the outcome could have been different with a more appropriate legal strategy. My advice to anyone considering this firm is to ask specific questions about the legal strategy, the risks, the fees for each case, and exactly how the attorney intends to address the facts of your situation. Do not rely on verbal assurances of success. Get clear answers before paying, and make sure you understand what you are paying for. This review reflects my personal experience and the consequences I am now facing.
