During about two-thirds of a very long road trip, I found myself needing an oil change for my Subaru. I quickly googled Subaru dealerships in Athens, GA, and Hughes Subaru popped up. Scheduling my appointment online was super easy, and I received both text and email confirmations right away. On the day of my appointment, there was a small hiccup and my appointment didn't initially show up in their system. That said, the staff handled it with grace and took great care of me anyway. They completed my road trip package oil change and even applied a military discount, which I truly appreciated. I didn't wait at the dealership, and about three hours later I received a call letting me know my vehicle was ready. Customer service was pleasant, efficient, and stress-free, which is exactly what you hope for when you're mid-road trip. While I didn't receive the photo point inspection I've experienced at some other Subaru dealerships, I was still very satisfied with the service overall. I called Kennesaw Subaru dealer as I am close to the Kennesaw location. I aske about some parts. The Parts guy was extremely rude there. I hung up on him and called Hughes Subaru in Athens. Cole was very respectful, he did not have the Parts I was looking for however, he did refer me to Troncalli in Cumming. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the online sales with Hughes. The salesperson was good to work with, but I had received an offer that I agreed to on a vehicle. The manager had made the offer and everything seemed good. The salesperson had the sets of keys so I know when I was negotiating and accepting the offer I was the only person looking at the car. I asked for a picture to confirm something I had seen online and found out someone else was now test driving it after I had already agreed. I am sure they used the fact I wanted to buy it to persuade the person that ultimately did get it. Hopefully they did not use it as a negotiating tactic to raise the purchase price. They even took a deposit to hold the car for them when I had already said I was going to purchase it. I am sure they are a great dealership as the reviews state, but I would just make sure you go in person to purchase it otherwise it may get sold from under you. read more

I became interested in the Subaru Forester because my husband had read good reviews on them in consumer reports. I had never driven a Subaru before. I arrived at the dealership and was greeted by a very nice salesman Ricard Williams. I first drove a 2018 Subaru touring and loved it and immediately knew that I loved the safety features and the ride quality. Richard was patient with me and over the course of the next few weeks allowed my husband and I to drive 2018 Subaru Outback, 2019 Crosstrek which are also nice cars. Ultimately we decided to wait until the 2019 Subaru foresters came in. I fell in love with a 2019 forester sport and couldn't possibly be any happier. I don't think I've ever had a better experience at a Subaru dealership in my life. First of all, I came here for my fiance as she was looking for a vehicle to own in her new home. Not only did they provide a great deal, but it was quick and painless. Everyone is extremely nice and willing to talk about anything and everything. Truthfully it felt like you walked out part of a family. Personally I was looking for a WRX or STI to own within the next year and they were kind enough to let me test drive the car even though I wasn't immediately in the market for one at this very moment. Just because of the experience, I'm willing to get my next car here and just drive it wherever I may be within the next year because the experience was that good. my girlfriends Subaru was broke Down a week ago needed an alternator n belt so I replaced at the shop I work at....car then a week later ran hot then gauge showed it was at normal temp but the car turned off....I took it to my shop and hooked up the code reader and found a lot of stuff I'm 18 and am still learning but my bosses helped me out and said that some of codes have to be at Subaru in order to read them if they have some special tool either way she dropped the car off the next day so they can diagnose those codes and I would fix whatever it says needs to be replaced...so They would run a diagnostic test to see.... To make this easier there are two inspections a basic inspection which every shop does for free unless for example they say hey u got an oil leak...if u want them to find the exact source of the leak then yeah they might charge labor or somthing like that.....but for a basic multi point inspection there is no charge it is free all shops do the same free inspection then finding the problem and selling them on what needs to be fixed....Subaru on the other hand...decided to take advantage of my girlfriend and her mom because they are both young women who were not super experienced when it comes to vehicles and they saw that as an opportunity to scam them....they charged my girlfriend 160$ bucks for a multipoint inspection which is literally free...when she asked and said specifically they needed to diagnose these codes that my shop couldn't and they scammed told her stuff that has nothing to do with any codes and no codes were displayed...stuff like oil change , lower control arm....those are not codes nor are they reasons fo her vehicle to just mis fire and shut off yes other things like spark plugs etc...can be the case but they never listed any codes nor any thing about the diagnostics in general...it has been a dry season or maybe the person they talked to needed to fill there quota either way happens all the time In dealerships and shops young girls come in and they use there lack of knowledge of vehicles and take advantage of them and ended up charging my girlfriend 160$ for a free inspection and lied to my girlfriends mom and said they ran the diagnostics...first experience I've had with Subaru and definitely not a good one... - Wade B read more
