After meeting with Roger and reminding him how happy we were with our first Hughes pool 20 years ago. We sold that house and wanted another pool at our new house. He gave me the price and I told him I would let him know. The next day, April 23, I text him on his cell phone and ask him what was needed to get things started. After no response I called and left a message on his cell phone. To this day he has never called me. Just out of professional courtesy, you would think he would reply. Hughes built our pool 3 years ago. We started to have issues with our fountain, after a year of going around with them they finally send 2 guys out and they can't fix the fountain, it's not something they work on. So I'm back to calling Josh every 1-2 weeks to have Tim(who they subcontracted to put the fountain in) come fix it. Josh never calls me back, always acts like he doesn't know who I am or what I'm talking about. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM TO PUT IN A POOL OR SERVICE YOUR POOL! I have been given the run around so much, they should be ashamed of how they treat people. I don't know how they are still in business! This is my last resort!! read more

If I could give lower, I would. This company has become like all the rest. Take your money, do a below-to-extremely-poor job, and disappear. They rarely answer their phone and when you do, if you don't get attitude you get false promises and constant excuses. The amount of damage done to my property, my house, my yard, and the amount of trash tossed in my wooded area is mind-numbing but only showed cheap labor is more important than business and job integrity. Concrete poured in the rain and clearly has extremely poor integrity. Forgot to put line spacers in spots to give flex and the concrete is splitting and cracking. Workers tossed all their trash in my woods, 4 trash bags full, and dumped their plastic bottles and trash outside the pool frame before filling it in with dirt using my property like a landfill. They had to replace my gutter system because of the dozer smashing it, replaced an electrical wire after ripping it apart, and had to replace the whole back porch screen because they poured cement in the rain and splashed wet cement over the screen and metal. The pump has had to be repaired 3 times in the first 3 months because it continued leaking. This is, of course, after months of calls and going back and forth in attempts to get this corrected. And yes, I have photos and videos of all this. I understand one review doesn't change minds, but you can't say you haven't been warned. ANYONE who is dumb enough to still use this company clearly isn't going to use good judgment anyway, but if you have ANY common sense, use someone else and save yourself the nightmare. read more

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! In January our Hot Springs spa died so I put a call into Hughes since it was still under warranty. Tech came out and discovered the pressure switch on the heater was broken from the factory and had been spraying the control board with water every time the pump was runing. They replaced the control board and put a large blob of silicone on the broken switch. Those repairs got the tub running again but the LED lights were dead. I immediately called them back and they said they were ordering new lights. For almost 8 months I have gotten nothing but run arounds and zero support. I got Hot Springs involved and their response was great. Problem is, Hughes is giving them the same run around. First they were waiting on parts. Hot Springs uses Watkins parts and I found them online in about 5 minutes and could have gotten them in 2 days. Then the parts had come in but they were scheduling techs. Then the parts were on their truck to be installed. 3 weeks ago the techs were out that morning but they would give me a ETA as soon as they got back to the store. Zip, nada, nothing from them. I have gone by the store and gotten the same run around from the front desk. They go to the back, 'talk' to the guru and them tell me they are waiting on parts or that I will be contacted. We are going on 8 months now and still nothing from them. There are other vendors out there that want you business!! read more

Hughes did a fantastic job on our pool! Our yard presented a challenge to say the least. Hughes gave us a fair quote, and when the hurdles of installing a pool on our property became apparent I half expected them to ghost us. That did not happen! Matt did an excellent job of keeping communication open; any time we had questions or concerns he got back with us immediately. Due to weather and site prep concerns It took a little longer than expected, but now we have a beautiful jewel of a pool in the middle of our forest. Highly recommend! read more

I hate to post negative reviews, but this is my last resort to try to get their attention. Pool is 2 years old. We turned on our fountain and water was leaking under the concrete in the pump area. Called to request it to be fixed multiple times. It took weeks for them to come out. They cut a hole in the concrete, fixed the pipe, and over 6 months later the hole is still there. After that pipe was fixed we turn the fountain on again and there is a busted pipe in the yard. We have called and called and every time we get the same answer that we are on the list. They cannot tell us when we are scheduled, just on the list. This whole mess has been going on over 6 months. Also, the corners of our liner are open and allowing water to get behind the liner. This has been like this for over a year. I could go on, but hopefully this is enough to help you see what type of service you'll get after the pool is purchased. read more

I would give this company a negative star if there was one.Went in to buy our usual stain remover that has always worked.BENJI told me that was not what I needed.Sold me some other stain remover that did not work at all.Went to Leslie's Pools on Sunday because Hughes is not open.Got the water tested no minerals or copper in water which we know what the stains are from.Bought stain remover from Leslie's and was told if it did not work we would be refunded and go another route.Went to Hughes to get a refund and was told no from BENJI the so called manager.He is the one who sold me the brand and said it would work better than what we have always used.He must get some kind of kickback from that product.Needless to say he would not refund my money or offer to replace it with the brand we normally use.This business SUCKS as well as the employees.Read all the reviews they are horrible.I would not recommend them to anybody again.D.B. read more

Customer Service is non-existent. Have called over 30 times in the last 2 weeks to order a liner without any response on the other side of the line. The local shop guys in Enterprise are good but all they can do is sell equipment and not service. The Montgomery shop deals with service. They need to either hire people that can answer the phones or quit the business for good. read more

Hughes installed our pool and the concrete around it. Our contract stated that they would use fiber mesh. After the concrete was poured, we realized they didn't use the fiber mesh. They told us that if we ever had a problem with anything related to the concrete, they would fix it. Now the ladder is sinking because the concrete around it has failed and Hughes refuses to even come look at it it's let us know what we need to do to have it repaired. The service lady in the Montgomery store is very rude. Do not use Hughes pools. Their service is horrible. Very hard to get anyone to answer or return calls. They act like they could care less if they have your business, and their work is shotty. read more

My husband stopped in today to get some cartridges for our tub & she was incredibly rude to him!! She told him he didn't need a certain cartridge that CAME WITH OUR TUB!! Our water has been PERFECT!! 3 years ago when we built our new home, we contracted with Hughes Pools to build our pool since they built our first one 25 years ago and we were pleased. Not so with this pool. We paid extra money for them to build an adjoining patio to the pool. After 6 months the patio began cracking badly. My husband contacted a salesperson in Montgomery. She assured him someone would come check it. Finally, after several more calls, a technician came out and looked at it and said we needed to wait until after winter to see if it worsened. We waited and it did worsen. My husband kept calling trying to talk to someone for an answer as to what they were going to do to fix the concrete. He was told by someone that they would assure him someone would fix it. 2.5 years later and it is not fixed. I am very disappointed that Hughes has not fixed this. We have been dealing with them for chemicals and service for over 25 years and recommended them to many friends. This company is no longer trustworthy and lacks integrity. read more

We send an email two weeks later. No return email. We send an email and certify letter to cancel. Still no contact. All they had to do was reach back to us once in the last month and a half and this review would not exist. But again no customer service whatsoever. read more
