I had bent valves and pushrods and then the oil pump failed that he had "reworked" for better flow. He also overstates his horsepower numbers. What he claimed was 525 HP ended up being about 350 at the flywheel. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Go to Stanton Racing Engines in Lexington, Kentucky for your Mopar engine work. I just spent almost 5K with these people. They made a mistake on my order, which happens. No problem, but when I called to inquire, Dave speaks to you like your an imbecile and acts like he is pissed that you even called. I cannot even complete a sentence without him interrupting. I'll start by saying that my disappointment is with Dave more than any of the other guys. Tim was a huge help to me and I really appreciated his assistance in the projects I brought to these guys. However, after spending over $18000 on an engine build and 2 other projects over the course of 6 years, I learned the hard way that Dave doesn't care how loyal of a customer you've been. I've recommended other Mopar guys to talk to these guys, I've repp'd their shirts, I've talked them up on forums, but after finding cracks in my brand new heads, which were caused by their method for correcting rocker geometry, I reached out to Hughes for help in making the repair. A repair that should have been covered by them completely given the fact that their method caused it. I was willing to pay a ballpark amount since I appreciated what they'd done for me in helping me build the motor but Dave's quote was outrageous and "non-negotiable." I tried to reason with him but he instead called me a liar and told me his guys don't work for free. In the end his guys did work for free since they disassembled my heads before giving a written estimate for the repair and then had to reassemble them for free since his written quote was 3x his verbal quote over the phone. Bought a set of their stage 3 Eldlebrock heads and Dave installed the wrong size locks. Dropped a valve and ruined engine. He wont take responsibility. All I wanted was a set of valves, lock, and retainers. Very reasonable I thought because its costing me 12k to replace read more
