Both of my boys went to Town and Country several years back. When we started our sons as this…read morefacility it was run by the Pumpkin Patch but within months was sold to Town and Country. After the change over I noticed things really started to change. All the older experienced and knowledgeable staff started disappearing and were replaced by much much younger staff. I found out later that the older staff was just let go. A few months in I was getting calls at work from management that my oldest son was causing trouble in the room and had to be picked up. This became a biweekly issue. I asked management and this room teachers what the issues were. I got everything from "he's hitting, spitting and disruptive to the other children". This was the third daycare I've sent him to and never had an issue at any of the first two. He doesn't spit at home or at his friends, why here I thought. I talked to my son about his behavior and he insists he did nothing like that. He had no idea why he was in trouble. I found out later that he had another child in his class that would bother him and pick on him and if he stood up for himself he would be immediately pulled into the managers office. As it turned out this other boy was the assistant managers son. When I found that out I called manament about the issue and the answer I go was on line "You have a problem Child and everything we do is legal" and they got off the phone. The last part sent chills down my spine, no one should have to explain that unless you're caught doing something wrong. The next day I pick up my two boys my youngest being only about six months old at the time wasn't fed for the entire day! All his bottles of formula were full from the morning and his snacks had never been touched. I went into the management off and asked them to explain and the answer I got was "it's a busy room and you don't know how hard it is". This is their JOB! I immediately pulled both my sons out of this facility. I should have called DCF at the time but now it's been over five years. After T&C I enrolled both my boys into a new daycare which they spent over two years at and not one disciplinary issue. They both loved their new teachers and learned a lot. Now that my son is much older every time we drive by he refers to Town and Country building as "the bad place" and he would share a new horror story of how he was treated every time he thinks of the place. BTW I still ask him if he ever spit on anyone while at the bad place and he still insists he never did. On a side note my wife and I took the boys to a state park a few years back and someone walked up to us and started talking to the boys. As it turned out she was one of the teachers in my oldest sons room at T&C. She was happy we left, she left also. She told us that "Town and Country is a bad place for both the staff and the children".

Please understand that I am posting my experience in hopes that other parents will be more aware…read more As heartbreaking as this is to say my employment over at Town And Country Early Learning Center OF SOUHINGTON only lasted for 3 weeks before resigning. During my time here my son was also attending, sadly it was to good to be true. My son was bitten in the face by another child which caused bruising. The " teacher " that was in the classroom KNEW the child attempted to bite three times prior to him latching onto my sons face & failed to notify any of the directors. That same teacher also kept her back turned on the playground ignoring my son for over 5 minutes scream & cry for me as I was on the clock with other children. Not only was he screaming & crying but he was putting his hand through the fence. When she finally got up to go attempt to talk to him she gave up within 2 minutes and left him to cry at the gate again. This place has the potential to be great with the right people. With that being said the director here is more than aware that one of her staff are overly aggressive with the children both verbally & physically and still allows her to work there. The things that come to their attention that they need to take seriously they take very lightly. Not to mention I asked the director specifically how she handles hitting & biting at her school prior to me taking this job opportunity & she LIED because she did NONE of what she said. DISGUSTING

I remember waking up each morning and having to leave the room to use the bathroom early morning to try to get in there before others do. The stall doors were so short that anyone walking in could see the commode. That being said somebody would always clog the toilet and you would hear the noise knowing the water or the river was going to come downstream and you'd have to put your legs up or you would get wet. Some people would walk right in barefoot like it was a normal walk in the park nothing to see here. And then the mixed showering setup in the partying was way overboard. Many people had the jail mentality where they'd be showering and you'd come in there it's your towel and soap and they'd say oh there's more than enough room under one shower head. So some of us would go to the gym and then shower down there and frequenting many YMCA's this one is probably the most stuck up group of people that I've experienced. You're scared down there working out like everybody else on older machines by the way what business is it of theirs to ask what type of car you driving or how big is your house? Now they obviously knew that we were from the men's wing due to the residential cards that we had and free gym privileges. But some of the people that are stuck up tried to make people feel like they shouldn't be there. And people need to remember people stay at the y short-term or long-term for many different reasons from all walks of life The Good The bad and The ugly. And there might be the good in the bad in the men's wing but the only ugliness I seen was the comments from the people downstairs. If you can avoid this place like the plague. If not make sure to keep your feet up when the river comes running.

The worst YMCA in the local area, let me edit that…read more Things are still thrown out/stolen in fitplus. Also, apparently having a small child is a handicap now as there's parking spaces only people with small children can use. Really?? They're also perpetually empty and going to waste. Working out is suppose to uplift your day and make you feel good. I can count on this YMCA to almost always do the opposite. I've never had such a frustrating experience going to any gym. As soon as I'm able, I'm going to get a new gym membership elsewhere. The only reason I have any membership at this point is the sauna/steam room. I'm not sure why Middlesex county has such a weak selection of good gyms throughout the area.
