The owner seemed to be to invested in the lives of my grandchildren's parents. The reason why I say this is, because she would always ask questions about them and as a professional daycare owner, she should be reframing herself from those type of questions, because it's irrelevant. So, long story short the owner is upset, because my 1 1/2 year old was coming home literally with black eyes with a scratch like scar in the middle of the bruise like 1 week apart from each other. The first week it was the right eye and then I asked her what happened and her response was " I spoke to your husband already". Then she decided to respond to my question with he fell! and hit his eye with a toy and that accidence happen". Then the next following week the same exact bruise appeared on his left eye and her response was "he tripped over the rug". So, I then express my concerns to the DCF worker and she then calls me being very confrontational and stating that she is terminating the contract, because she said, that I complained about my grandchildren not being safe in her home, mind you she already got paid C4K for the two boys. I should add the pictures I took of my grandsons eyes just a week apart from each other, but I won't. The daycare provider for one needs to hire more workers to help out with the children in order to avoid them from getting hurt. She also needs to be more professional when dealing with the parents. Secondly, I never ever dealt with a daycare facility, that would say no to the parents better yet a DCF worker, that it's not okay to pick up there child when she receives, that phone call like really, that's just very bizarre and unprofessional. At the end of the day I am so glad, that the children are no longer under her care. I was always against home daycare and I was proven right. I can go on and on, but I said what I needed to say. I would like for everyone to really look into the places, that you choose to bring your children to, because your children are under there care for at least 8 hours a day, and because our children's safety should be our #1 main priority. Pay attention to your gut if it feels wrong then it's wrong.

Talking to the teachers, I could see how passionate they were about their job and how each teacher focused on the developmental aspects of each child in their care. Needless to say, that same day we enrolled him. Within a few short months, my husband and I began to see big changes in our son. He was learning more, talking more and he was healthy! All of the teachers are so warm and sweet! We are greeted every morning upon arrival by all of the teachers and his teachers partnered with us to help him with things that he struggled with from time to time. I never thought I would see my 4 year old writing fluently, adding/subtracting, reading site words and overall accomplishing Kindergarten standards. He is now doing so well in Kindergarten- reading, writing, math and so much more! This is all thanks to KinderCare! Then, over the summer, our daughter arrived into this world and I did not hesitate for a second to have her go through the same journey at the center that my son went through! I would pick him up every day and his diaper and pants would be soaked and I would ask "how come no one changed him?" And consistently I would get the answer "he refused." Ummm a 2 year old refused to change their diaper and you are ok with that? Same thing with food. He would not be given his lunch but everything was thrown out daily. Their attitude towards us changed completely. No more sweet, helpful teachers and directors. It was just a very uncaring situation when a child becomes a little challenging. But if your child follows all their rules and never gives any problem (like my older one), they will do fine. We switched my younger one to Joni's down the street (I was hesitant because the building was older and cramped and I hadn't known much about that school). But I am so thankful for the switch. He did amazing and he thrived there with their love.

Most of my daughter's teachers have been great, aside from one who made a derogatory comment about her ethnicity. I have had friends working within this daycare who said they were surprised and concerned with the way some of the teachers tell the children to shut up. Also, the curriculum is not accredited, which is surprising given the 20% tuition hike that was recently sprung on parents. $1200 a month for mediocre care is too much. But i think the most frustrating thing would be the way young parents are treated.. I am 27 years old but felt personally targeted at times. I would receive threatening emails from the business office that care would be discontinued for my daughter for non-payment, and the checks had been misplaced on two occasions. You pay in advance for the following week, and by wednesday if the check hadnt cleared yet I'd have an email. I felt like my business was not only not appreciated but I feel like they tried to push us out. When the 20% tuition hike was announced I gave ample notice to get the deposit back, and every day was harrassed that I would not be able to bring my daughter back because they had failed to accurately credit her vacation credit. I am overall quite exasperated and do not recommend or trust this establishment.
