I brought my daughter there starting from 9 weeks old and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I feel so fortunate that I was able to bring her to such a warm, loving and happy environment. The director and the teachers truly love their job. Prior to Covid, I was able to come into the center and nurse my baby. I saw firsthand how well the infant teachers handled their kids. They were all held and attended to as if they were their own. We now have two kids in this center. Their Covid precautions are strict, but we feel safe and clean here. My toddler son is learning so much at the discovery preschool level, much more than I would have been able to expose him to. It truly is like a play based school before school. Only cons are high teacher turnover, but this is common in other daycares from what I hear.

Sure, I can go on and on about the structured days led by teachers who actually have a degree in early childhood education and brag about the art projects and the pictures I receive during the day and the complete report of my child's every activity at the end of the day...all emailed to me, but I'd like to focus on something else. The staff is owner operated, happy to be there and, my favorite part, is that when a child is having difficulties adjusting or a teacher doesn't have the "connection" with the kids they don't just sit there and wait to see if it all works out. How awesome is it that the owners are not just looking out for their bottom line but also the happiness and comfort of the student/teacher/parent relationship? The facilities are brand new, sparkling and fabulous. The hardwood floors are a perk for those who hate a germy carpet (totally me) and the bathrooms are disinfected after each use.....don't even let me get started on the epic hand washing routine they have! Amazing! Also, given this day and age, I must point out the security system, cameras, unique codes and fingerprint system. Sorry, I take no chances with my little ones and I want to know they are secure and this place is like Fort. Knox. Net/net the place is new, the owners are experienced and they too have a standard to live up to by using "The Goddard School" name. And aside from reading my fabulous review, which could be total BS because my kid goes there so I drink the kool-aid, check it out for yourself. Take a tour and see the art projects, see the doors of the classrooms changing weekly, she the teachers loving, singing and playing with the kids and, most importantly, see the kids happily responding to their peers and teachers. Reviews can be biased based on the happiness or unhappiness of a guest but what you see with your own eyes and how your child walks happily into school speaks for itself. Before finding Mrs. Yelena we visited multiple day care centers, we never liked the place, the people or simply we did not feel comfortable with the setting. (As first time parents we were nervous). When we first visited Mrs. Yelena we knew, we knew right away, we had found a place where our daughter could play, learn and grow. It felt like, and it is for our daughter, a home away from home. The small group really allows Mrs. Yelena to focus on the kids and their growth, our daughter, learned to clean up after herself, snack time and sharing, gave up the diaper, started napping (she only naps during the week, not on weekends), playing with other kids, climbing, painting, snow, new songs, English! She started singing all out and expressing herself in so many creative new ways. Every so often you meet people that have found their calling, when you meet Mrs. Yelena you can tell she is doing what she loves to do. She is a great educator, with so much warmth and kindness. Every single day the kids are playing with something new to stimulate a new sense, or new songs, or planting trees. A beautiful place and environment for kids to grow in. Their staff are seasoned professionals, and the ones who aren't soon will be from their A+ training. They treat the children with kindness and respect. They also taught me as a first time mother so much (even the grandmothers, who did pickups sometimes, were impressed and sought their knowledge). Based on my child's development, they would tell me when she was ready for solids, or puffs, or water. I trust them more than some chart that says at 6 months, do X. The owner is a delight, and perfectly fair and straightforward with everything. Go here, it is FIRST CLASS.
