    After remodeling of the playground

This playground has gotten a whole remodel I remember driving by and seeing it being demolished it was super cute before but now it's beyond adorable I've come here spermaticly with my kids but now I think we will be here 2-3x a week. I'm glad Jacksonville is finally remodeling their playgrounds and adding news ones. It also has shades to protect the little ones from the harsh sun especially that we live in such a warm climate.

Huffman is a nice little park. As I am a huge rugby fan I frequent this park often as the Jacksonville Men's, Women's and Under 19 Rugby Clubs play at this location. You are bound to catch a match at Huffman on a Saturday afternoon during rugby season. I believe one of the Cricket teams plays and practices at this location as well. Amenities at the park: -Basketball courts -Good size picnic area's with grills -A lovely playground area for the kids -Tennis courts -Walking trails -And the biggest plus in my book is that the restrooms are usually relatively clean. There is only one downside to this park and that is on the weekends, if there is a sporting event, parking tends to filter into the street as the lot is very small. Overall, this is a great park to get outside, have a picnic, let the kids play and potentially enjoy a good sporting event!

This is one of my favorite parks to go to and I have been a patron of Huffman park ever since my son was a baby. Fast forward nine and a half years later and I now enjoy bringing my two year old daughter here. This park has so much to offer. A playground, walking track that is .4 miles long, basketball courts, tennis courts, a large field for football or soccer, picnic tables, and a covered pavilion with a grill. This park is a must visit if you have kiddos!

If you like gnats, nasty bathrooms, and no shade this is your place! Gnats all over our faces the entire time. The bathroom was disgusting. I understand it's a park bathroom, but this was bad. Again, little to no shade. Otherwise, the playground was nice and fun for the kids.

Nice little playground for the kids as a break from stores. They have chairs, benches and some…read moreshade. Great idea for a shopping center. Wish they had a lemonade stand though... that would make it perfect and I think they would sell a lot!

The St. John's Town Center is such a huge boon for the city. It boasts a mixture of standard mall…read moreshops, various eateries, and a sprinkle of high end retail establishments that keeps young and old adults of the city coming back for more. But while we were busy cruising up and down town center boulevard, we found that our kids would be tremendously bored. Up until late last year the only form of entertainment we could provide them during a long day of shopping at the town center was the mall choo-choo train that costs us almost an Andrew Jackson for a 3 minute simulation of weaving between traffic for our 2 kids. Sure we could bring them to the beautiful pond at the center of the mall in front of the Italian restaurant, but with the lack of railings if we don't keep a close eye on them, they could literally be swimming with the fishes (or turtles or ducks)! Thank goodness for the Wolfson's Play Shore for providing our kids a break from all the commercialism. The name itself is reminiscent of the wonderful beaches that attract people to Jacksonville and the colorful sea life play structures continue with this aquatic theme. In regards to safety they've got you covered from top to bottom. The area is shaded and the flooring is made up of that finely ground tire rubber that makes you feel like you're wearing moon shoes. There is ample seating all around the area along with anti bacterial soap dispensers. Once the kids are all pooped out, it's back to the endless grind of spending our hard earned money. I'm glad a play area is finally here. If a free pitstop to unload your kids energy isn't your cup of tea, there's always the choo-choo.
