I really love this park. Its a perfect park for littles. The play structures are clean and well maintained. We had my son's 1st birthday here and it was so much fun. Yiu can rent the one pavillion available. I would reccommend going online to rent and having the confirmation with you. People will just set up there that have not rented! There is a paved path that goes around the whole park and one that goes around the playground. Thete arr tennis and basketball courts and a field. The bathrooms are public park bathrooms so they can either be clean....or not, but there are 3 bathrooms available. If your in the area come check it out. read more

Outstanding park with bathrooms and a little trail for walking. The play area is great for kids from ages 2-10. They have toddler swings and regular swings along with a few slides. They also have a cool see-saw and a soccer field next to the park. There is a decent amount of shade also. read more

I have used Huffman Boulevard Park's walking trail a few times in the last couple of years. It is pretty close to home and the loop is .04 miles. The walking trail was nice, partly shaded and partly sunny. The sidewalk and wooden bridge that make up the trail loop were solid and dependable with no cracks or damage. This makes for a very smooth walk or run. The park also included tennis and basketball courts as well as a soccer field with benches for spectators. There was a playground too. I have to say the big turn-off was all the trash. Trash around the parking lot and near the basketball courts. Tons of empty bottles and cups thrown on the grass. Plus all of the trash cans were overflowing with trash on the ground around them. Not a pretty picture for a park:( But all in all I enjoyed the walking trail and now that parks are reopened I will be making more frequent visits to the park. read more

This playground has gotten a whole remodel I remember driving by and seeing it being demolished it was super cute before but now it's beyond adorable I've come here spermaticly with my kids but now I think we will be here 2-3x a week. I'm glad Jacksonville is finally remodeling their playgrounds and adding news ones. It also has shades to protect the little ones from the harsh sun especially that we live in such a warm climate. read more

Huffman Boulevard Park - After remodeling of the playground - Parks Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

If you're looking to let your little ones run off all that energy after school, it's a great little sensory oriented park, that my kiddos LOVE!!! read more

Huffman is a nice little park. As I am a huge rugby fan I frequent this park often as the Jacksonville Men's, Women's and Under 19 Rugby Clubs play at this location. You are bound to catch a match at Huffman on a Saturday afternoon during rugby season. I believe one of the Cricket teams plays and practices at this location as well. Amenities at the park: -Basketball courts -Good size picnic area's with grills -A lovely playground area for the kids -Tennis courts -Walking trails -And the biggest plus in my book is that the restrooms are usually relatively clean. There is only one downside to this park and that is on the weekends, if there is a sporting event, parking tends to filter into the street as the lot is very small. Overall, this is a great park to get outside, have a picnic, let the kids play and potentially enjoy a good sporting event! read more

I really love that this park is so active with people on the weekends. They also have bathroom facilities. But it would be cool if they had something like a vending machine. Lol. So if you plan to swing by here, you might want to remember it's BYOD (bring your own drink)... Lol You can do mostly anything here. Some soccer teams meet up here for practice, and almost everyday you see parents with their children at the play area. Older kids might want to hang out at the basketball courts, tennis courts, or various use court (I have no idea what else to call this area where they usually bring out their quarter pipe ramps and skateboard). There is a path that winds around the soccer fields, where you can jog or walk your dog and they have a shaded area near the kids play area for sweaty parents. Lol. Get out and enjoy the sunny weather! read more

Huffman Park is a nice, little greenspace in the midst of an area without much of that. There's plenty for folks to do here: tennis, basketball, taking the kids to the playground, running or walking some laps, or a pick up game of soccer or kickball. There are some bathrooms and picnic areas, with the grill included, too. I happened upon Huffman Park because my new job is just down the road and I'd like to get away during my lunch break. A quick walk around the paved loop was the perfect thing to rejuvenate me after being stuck inside for most of the day. However, it seems that the "hiking trails" have been misrepresented. There is a bit of woodsy area, but it took less than three minutes to walk through. There is trash everywhere in this bit and it is just seems to be disregarded by the COJ Parks office. It would be a good project for the groups that do volunteer environmental cleanups. Feel free to steal that idea, COJ, I would like to see this disgrace disappear. read more

This is one of my favorite parks to go to and I have been a patron of Huffman park ever since my son was a baby. Fast forward nine and a half years later and I now enjoy bringing my two year old daughter here. This park has so much to offer. A playground, walking track that is .4 miles long, basketball courts, tennis courts, a large field for football or soccer, picnic tables, and a covered pavilion with a grill. This park is a must visit if you have kiddos! read more

If you like gnats, nasty bathrooms, and no shade this is your place! Gnats all over our faces the entire time. The bathroom was disgusting. I understand it's a park bathroom, but this was bad. Again, little to no shade. Otherwise, the playground was nice and fun for the kids. read more

The playground area is mulched and exposed to the sun. There are a couple playground activities, two toddler swings, and two regular swings. Around the play area is a learning path. Around the fields is a shaded 1/2 mile paved path. There are (disgusting) bathroom facilities and no changing tables. The water fountains work but are pooled with water in the bottom from clogs (dirt, mulch, or otherwise). read more

I love this park, so does my pup (The park doesn't have poop bags so be sure to bring your own) and also my nieces and nephews. There's a volleyball court, soccer field w/ goals and bleachers, a kids play ground, basketball court, ample shade w/ picnic tables and a trail that extends around the entire park. This is the perfect place for a picnic, to exercise or to simply enjoy nature. read more

Huffman park is always beautiful for a day with the dogs. There is plenty of open green space, as well as basketball courts. There is ample parking and relatively little traffic nearby. read more

I am well aware of the fact that this park has way more to offer than the basketball court, but before I begin my discussion of this park, I must be upfront and say that I'm basing this review solely on using the place for the basketball court. Every Sunday I visit this beautiful and clean park to play pick-up basketball with co-workers. I enjoy that no matter what your passion is, there's a spot at the park for your activity. A handful of people are next to me playing doubles tennis. Across the parking lot, another group of men are playing organized soccer. Next to them, parents are watching over their children as they run, swing and bounce on the playground. I often times see joggers taking laps around the park to sweat off the calories. So, as I speak favorably of the park, you must wonder why I've only given it three stars. Here are the two knocks I have against the park. First, if you're going to build a park somewhere where there's little to no shade, but you want people to be active, it would have been nice to see many many more water fountains on the premises. There is one close to the basketball court, but the water is far from cold and most notably far from clean. Also the place needs shade. read more
