No loyalty. Profits over People. I arrived for my 8am appointment and was told it was cancelled because they called to confirm and didn't hear back. I have a sent email from Wednesday where I indicated I'd be there Friday because they were actually offering me an earlier appointment. So yes they did hear from me and even so I'm an adult and a patient there for 17 years. I have an appointment and I expect it to be honored. I am shocked at this terrible money grab at the expense of my morning and time. Complete disregard for patient experience. I've read reviews of the overpricing, greed, pushing of unnecessary procedures and treatments and kept going - not anymore. If they don't care about my business I will take it elsewhere. Over a year ago I made the appointment to come into the dentist but was hesitent due to prior bad experiences with the dentist. My major goal was to find a dentist that had the sedation as an option. It had been about five years since I had been in to see one (which is gross I know) as just thinking about going in gave me pure anxiety. On my first appointment with Dr. Hughes I was greeted by the amazing and friendly reception staff doing everything they could to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I was given my intake paperwork and noticed for the first time at a dentist office the amazing question of what my ultimate dental goals were. As I placed all my obvious needs, I continued to place all of my long term goals here as well. As I was called back for the appointment I could feel the anxiety kicking in and not wanting to go back as I was afraid of what dental work they would be conducting that day. As I was able to not only tell my concerns and openly discuss my fears and anxiety with Dr. Hughes and the dental assistant team it was really comforting to see they really cared and really listened to every issue I had. As I felt comfortable they were able to start with their thorough evaluation of everything that needed to be done. Before any work was done there was an estimated financial breakdown of the cost for everything that needed to be done and was able to sit down and go over every aspect with Dr. Hughes to start a realistic dental care plan that I could afford within my budget. Going into the appointment I was aware it was going to cost alot of money. With the help of Dr. Cooper the sedation doctor I was able to get all of my goals completed in a reasonable amount of time as every member of the staff I encountered in the office helped me feel calm and welcome into their family like I was truly a member of them instead of being treated like number. Now that I am almost fully in the maintenance stage of my long term personal dental plan due to my Invisalign, I can honestly say I no longer get anxiety or panic about going into the dentist. As everyone in the Dr. Hughes office are so friendly, understanding, and truly listen to my every need they still continue to welcome me everytime I see them. Hands down the " best of the best " is the phrase you're most likely going to hear when asking about this facility ! We went to war extracting My Top Right wisdom tooth because more than 1/3 of the tooth was broken and gone but that did not scare off Dr. Austin Neil . Am so grateful to be in great hands , of course all the support that I got from the whole staff helped tremendously as well . I have been going here since I was about seven years old. The front desk staff is super accommodating and fun to chat with. Most of the dental staff have been there for many years. Dr. Bob has a couple new dentists on staff I have seen them both and they are awesome as well. This is the only dentist my kids feel comfortable at. I had taken them somewhere else for a short period of time when we lived a little further away, and it made me appreciate hues even more after. Last week I came in with a broken tooth and nasty a abscess, without any appointment made, they were able to get me in and start treatment which ended today with Dr Josh and Debbie removing the instigator, all while making sure I was completely numb and comfortable, as it should be! Super friendly and accommodating, the staff made this experience as good as it could have been considering. After having been a patient at Hughes Dental Group for nearly 2 years, and a followup to my May 2015 review, I have to say my opinion on this office has gone down. Let me start off by saying that I have NEVER had an issue with the professionalism of the staff. Dr. Hughes is a FANTASTIC dentist, and all of his hygiene staff are marvelous. They have taken very good care of me, and they merit the stars on both my original review and now this update. Now, to the part that has me lowering my review AND leaving the practice? Well, their billing department. It was never a problem when I was on Premera insurance, and perhaps between my new insurance they've got new staff (??), but all I know is that it took over 6 months to rectify a treatment claim. I was regularly on the phone with my new insurance company, Delta Dental, to inquire about claims they had received - and on the regular, they gave me the last claim they received which was NOT the last treatment I had. Between phone calls to Delta Dental and Dr. Hughes' office it finally got sorted out - it was determined the billing department at Dr. Hughes wasn't submitting sufficient information for the claim - and despite this being not my fault, I continued to receive monthly statement saying I owed their office... and then they started adding interest to the statements due to "overdue for payment". To say I was annoyed would be putting it mildly. In the end this claim was paid in full by insurance, but only after a lot of effort on my part to communicate between my insurance AND the office. Fast forward to them finally submitting the claim, they sent a new statement saying I owed money for this treatment - which included a regular preventive cleaning as well as fitting for a night guard. The preventive cleaning was covered by insurance but the night guard cost me $250 out of pocket and the office said "insurance would take care of the rest". So far, this does not appear to be the case - shame on me for not asking more questions. This recent discrepancy has yet to be settled (still working on it)- so I am not basing my review solely on this, but with all the issues I've had with their billing I've decided it's finally time for me to find a new office. Again, I've always had excellent care as a patient here, but the other experiences (aka headaches) of dealing with claim issues pretty much was the final straw for me. I would have gladly stayed if the issues I've had with them submitting claims properly wasn't so annoying and time consuming for me to personally deal with. read more

I am absolutely afraid of the dentist. I tend to have panic attacks, and have had horrible previous experiences. This lead to my not going to the dentist for over 5 years. I ended going to Dr. Bob & his new dentist for two back to back cleanings including fillings. My tech (Gigi) for the cleanings was amazing. She listened to all of my fears and checked in with me regularly. My techs for the fillings and the dentists themselves were excellent as well. I tend to cry in the middle of a cleaning, and they did an excellent job of making sure I wasn't totally losing it. The biggest surprise was that they gave me plenty of breaks. I've never had a dentist give me the option to take a moment to breathe and it made a world of difference. The receptionists were well trained, educated, and lovely as well- which is so rare. If you want a dentist that cares, don't go here!!!! My whole family has gone to Dr. Hughes and I am so disappointed. Currently I am sitting here with a huge swollen lump on the roof of my mouth from a broken tooth. I called them in the morning yesterday to ask for an emergency appointment and they couldn't fit me it, this I sort of understand it was last minute but their soonest appointment was over two weeks away, I asked if I could at least have some antibiotics and they said they would ask the dr. I get a call back with a referral to another dentist that never returned my call. The second issue is that they made and canceled my husbands appointment for and exam and cleaning twice. When he did finally get in (a month later) the appointment took almost three hours and he didn't even get his teeth cleaned. Dr Hughes cares about you if you want expensive procedures but if you can't afford his treatment plan you are out of luck. They also took a ton of unneeded X-rays that my insurance didn't cover THIS PLACE ONLY WANTS YOUR MONEY! read more

Dishonest, untrustworthy, and unprofessional. The only time that I was greeted by the front desk stuff was my very first day, after that every single time I went in they simply ignored me and had to sit there for at least half an hour before one of the assistances came out and called my name. Being in the dental field myself, I tend to have high expectations, but Dr. Bob and his staff never disappoint. Everyone is very professional and the office is very clean. The staff is knowledgeable and Dr. Bob always has your best interest in mind. My only complaint would be that they tend to always bring their patients back late, past their appointment time. Ive been going to Hughs Dental for almost 5 yrs and Ive never had a problem with billing or staff until now. Ive always had two insurance companies to cover all my dental work. Since last year Dr Hughs is no longer in the network for both my insurance companies. Okay! So I get a bill for over five hundred bucks, Ive been making monthly payments on this bill and have never missed a payment. They actually sent it to collection because they didnt want to deal monthly payments as the collection agency said. I could have gone somewhere else that was in my network to cover 100% of my cost but no I really liked this office and wanted to stay even if I had to pay. Such a disappointment. read more

The dental work done by this office is excellent. They are very professional, and trustworthy. Many times I have had to "pop-in" with tooth pain, and I am always given proper care. Desk staff is very friendly. I have never had better fitting crowns, and complete numbing for procedures. I am always told about expenses up front - no surprises.
