What a great little free exhibit for Huell Howser fans, new and old! "IT'S AMAZING!!" We came on the day of grand opening and wow I didn't realize how many people would be there! I guess there were more fans than I thought. We did have to wait 1 1/2 hours to get in to see this exhibit which was kind of ridiculous but it was the grand opening so I guess it's to be expected? They had a 1 hour movie showcasing 30 years of Huell Howser shows and was very entertaining. They also had some of the people Huell interviewed (Dryer Lint Lady!) and Triple A handed out a free map that included some of the stops that Huell made which was pretty cool too. I think the movie was just for grand opening but I'm pretty sure you can buy the DVD later. I would highly suggest it! The exhibit itself is very well done (it's permanently here!). It's just one room and it shows a timeline of Huell's beginning and end. There's a replica of how Huell's home office looked and pictures of people he's met and places he's been. Huell's quotes are all over and it just shows how great of a person Huell was. He donated all of the shows he's ever done to Chapman University and you can see any one you want on their website. Very cool!! I definitely recommend this exhibit for everyone. Huell showcased the state of California in such a great way and he will forever be missed. There will never be another Huell.

Huell is THE MAN! He motivated me to visit "California's Gold"! Miss that guy, and glad there is somewhere to showcase him. Will definitely come back again! Yeah, they have the special AAA Huell Howser maps!

I finally got a chance to visit the Huell Howser Exhibit, and I'm so glad I did, WOW, If your a fan of his, this is a must see. To learn of his start in television and all the places he had worked before doing California Gold was AMAZING, then to see what he need during California Gold, Well what can I say, but AMAZING. you need to spend some time reading all the info that is here to really appreciate his life and the work he has done and the places he has been. It is very quaint, in the downstairs of the schools library. Once I got there it was very emotional to see all his life unfold in front of you, then when I saw the video of him I had tears while remembering all the shows I had watched and enjoyed though out the years. This is a must see for a true FAN of HUELL HOWSER.

The day we came was actually during the world cup and in the main lobby they actually set up a projector and chairs in AC to watch the game! I don't think I've ever been to such a lively museum! LOL And we didn't know this but on Father's Day you can go in for free if you're a dad! Dang we lost our chance but the pricing here isn't to bad actually! About $18/person and if you want to park in the parking lot it's $6. Not to bad! Plenty of parking and clean :) I like that the museum is big, clean, and well thought up when each room is themed! And they also host monthly family culture days! Where they gave free snacks and other local businesses in the community were there to promote their services! If you're still thinking about coming here, just come! You won't regret it :D

Easy parking on the side. Eat in house halfway through your visit if you like. Or leave and return. I like how the art is arranged throughout the repurposed property. Plenty of descriptions for your reading pleasure on your walk-through. Small museum but taking your time you can easily spend a full day here.

Cost is reasonable for a 10am-5pm fun, interactive experience. Recommend using discoverycube.org Orange County to preview everything before you visit. (Not really made for immobile individuals since everything is interactive; must use stairs for some activities; and there is an elevator for 2nd floor access.) Let's start with parking. After 11am, I strongly recommend parking across Main Street coming off 5 opposite the Cube (stay in the right lane, make a right at the first driveway). It's a much closer walk, trust me on this! Cost $10/vehicle. Once you enter, there is a visitor counter, Nursing room for newbies feeding, restrooms on the right (that's important), Race cars, drag racing, dinosaurs, frontier adventure ............. and a lot more. I can't explain it all or else this would be a book!. One could literally spend the day interacting with all the activities if you are into these kinds of experiences. There are mixed reviews and that's fine, it's a children's type of interactive museum. Adults will be bored if they are looking for a theme park experience or activities. That's a fact, not fiction. So enjoy it with the children and join in their interactivity. It's called bonding :) Highly recommend for first timers. Recommend to grandparents since it brings a secure environment for young children. With staff all around watching, no child will be left alone or wander off.

I finally had a day off work and was able to take them on a Friday. They had the ocean encounter and Scooby doo event simultaneously which we got to enjoy as well. Lots of different learning activities that were interesting for the girls. Their favorite place is the shopping mart. When they told me about this place before, I thought it was just a market like Pretend City where you buy things and put it in the cart. To my surprise, they have different missions that always teach you how to be an eco-shopper or healthy shopper. I really loved the education tired into these activities. As an adult, I loved this area as well. My second favorite place was the recycling center game. It definitely brings out the competitiveness in all of us. I found out that I was a terrible garbage sorter LOL There is definitely room for improvement. My 7 year old enjoyed the dinosaur exploration area. She enjoyed looking for items with the digital scanner you check out at their store desk. We learned a lot of fun facts and got to enjoy the nice outdoors without being too hot. The touch pool was fun. We got to feel the sharks and sting rays. The ocean encounter exihibit was nice and peaceful. Lots of information about preserving our oceans. I enjoyed all the lantern ocean mammals hanging in the sky. Very nice. Scooby doo area was a nice play for photo fun and discovery mysterious. Girls enjoyed the different activities they had there. Needless to say, this was a great day for all of us. I highly recommend visiting!

They also have Asian snacks and drinks, souvenir trinkets and magnets, building block toys, little fortune telling thing like they have in Taiwan for $5, artsy stuff.. For a Friday evening, the crowd inside is very light...so I hope this establishment survives. Inside the store, the "stall" set up area feels incomplete or semi-vacant. Most of the vendors are selling knick-knacks rather than food, which wasn't what I expected from a night market-inspired space -- more food stall or hot bar please. The area is sub-divided into sections that seem to try to create a little of everything -- there are spaces for gatherings, worship, paintings and a small gift shop. Food options are limited to just a couple of snack bars, which don't really compare to as much options like 99 Ranch. There is also offering to learn mahjong! One bright spot, though, is the wishing tree, which is a very welcoming and thoughtful touch. Too bad, the paper was out.

Right now building one, there is an incredible art exhibit on the history of skateboarding in Anaheim. It's awesome. I took so many photos lol. I used to skateboard when I was a kid. Loved every second of this exhibit. The second building houses so very cool artifacts from the 1800s to the 1900s reflecting the history of Anaheim. It was cool to go back in time to see the history of a place I called home. I saw the history of Anaheim vineyards and Valencia oranges, I saw a lot of information on the ranchos in Anaheim. The Anaheim street names are all named after very important ranchers and farmers in Anaheim. For example I saw the name of a rancher Don Bernardo Yorba who created the greatest rancho of California's Golden Age. No wonder we have cities like Yorba Linda and streets with name Bernardo. Fascinating stuff. Also, there was a video recalling the bicentennial which was July 4, 1976. It was a big deal. There were other artifacts like photographs and a typewriter, luggage and military uniforms. So much history packed in that museum. If you love to visit museums, Muzeo is one that you must visit. They provide validated parking in lots 3 and 5. If you are an Anaheim resident, the cost is only $8. Regular admission is $10. There are discounts for seniors, students and children.
