Word to the wise, the lines tend to be long but don't be discouraged. Never really had any issues with customer service as the staff members are polite even if the customers are getting rowdy. From what I can tell, seems like they have a multilingual staff as I have noticed staff talking with customers in Spanish and Hmong. There is an extra charge (believe it is 2.5% as of 11/22/24) if you are using a card so if you want to avoid that, bring a check or cash. Docking a star only because it would be efficient if they had a numbering system as the space inside is small and it gets packed where people are literally on top of each other waiting & if your trying to fill out paperwork with sensitive information like SSN etc. there is no privacy. Would be nice to just wait in your vehicle until the number is getting closer. Also - the card fee is not listed until you get to the counter to pay and I've seen some frustration from folks who don't know about the additional charge until they are about to pay so some signage would help.

With all the information out there on the state website and the Roseville website all the documents you need, do your research, and stop blaming an office that goes over and back to help everyone! Yes it does sometimes take two people to check in so the line goes faster! You want to get a number without the staff to look at your documents so you can sit out there wait for your number and have wrong documents as you didn't want to go through the triage to know that you have the correct documents. Do your research. This Office answers their phones, emails and the service is outstanding between passports and license center! My friends and family have been coming here for many many years even when they were located at the old fire station. ​ This office deserve a great review as they do give you all the paperwork you need and a list of all state requirements. I would hope you could follow the directions provided. God knows the service they provide is not always easy, as for the ones that give poor reviews are the ones that have no idea what it takes to do their job. The staff is friendly and the wait times are usually short compared to other DMV's I've been to. They do not handle driver's license renewals so that is good to be aware of. They do accept credit cards for a nominal fee.
