Almost every person involved was shady and underhanded, which is why Iucked out by having Chuck and Todd on my side. Todd did a great and thorough job inspecting the home. Because of the hoarder's clutter in the home, a dishonest seller and resentful tenants that would barely let us in, he wasn't able to inspect some aspects of the home, and Chuck volunteered to come back before closing if there was access and inspect the areas/things that were blocked on the original inspection (at no-charge). These are the most straightforward, on the level guys. Reasonable and on your side. The deal ended up going south, and the seller's agent/new buyers tried to pressure Chuck into giving them the inspection report and he immediately called to tell me, I would've never known, but he is so honest and legit--- he's that guy. This entire experience has been extraordinarily disheartening and if it wasn't for the great guys at above grade I would have 1) been doubly screwed over, and 2) lost all faith in humanity. Also, the phone support they provided me and going through the inspection report and talking through the process was beyond expectations. They are seriously great, we are still looking and without a doubt I'm going to be hiring them to inspect the next place.

In addition to losing my radon test, being unresponsive to my questions about said radon test and my questions about the obvious lead paint on the property, they also signed off on the oil tank, which was as old as the midcentury house, leaking, and had PVC pipe that was not up to code. Within months of my purchase, my oil provider put me on the stop fill list because my tank was not up to code, costing me more than $4k to replace in order to be able to get oil to be able to heat my home in sub-freezing weather with a toddler in the house. I brought this to their attention more than a week ago with no response. I am deeply disappointed with their work and have since had great experiences with other inspectors since, whom I would gladly recommend. Do not trust the Trusted Inspection Services.

It is hard to overstate how professional he is and how much he cares about his craft. You would be incredible lucky to work with Sven and his team. They are honest, thorough and will teach you so much about home inspection even if you've been through the process several times. He repeatedly stepped over the air sampling pump…read morewhile the air sample was being conducted as he moved around visually assessing the basement for mold. We learned later that stepping over and around the pump like this can skew the results and create artificially high airborne results. When we learned this and asked him to come back to redo the air sample testing - he denied that he stepped over the pump or that an error was made. Lack of integrity. Protect your pocketbook and go somewhere else. We now need to redo our testing with another company.

He was friendly, courteous and provided quick turnaround of the report. I was particularly impressed with the use of the drone camera, Ray flew it around and performed a detailed inspection of the roof. He discovered a problem with the chimney cap that had been professionally installed a few weeks beforehand. He provided pictures that I forwarded to the chimney co and they came out the next day to resolve. Had this not been fixed it's likely the cap would eventually get blown off the chimney and cause damage, so I'm pretty happy to have averted a potential disaster.
