All he has for sale is clothing that should be tossed year ago, broke-down furniture, a few lamps, a couple of shelves, misc. pieces of scrap metal, some odd-ball books like David Letterman's Mom's Cookbook, and bags of coconut that were expired 6-years ago; how is this even a store?? On the Right - The store is inside the building and run by an older woman. She does a great job on keeping the store organized and clean. We found a few notable items here such as the antique metal Delco fan, The Monster Energy Epiphone guitar, a variety of well-made bowie knives and machetes, the selection of military bags and gear, several pieces of artwork, a small bar with seating, and two vintage blown Santa's. We didn't find anything we couldn't live without this time around but don't let that stop you from checking them out if you are shopping in the area. I would visit again next time I'm back in town.

Opening its doors a couple of years ago in what used to be a mechanic shop (of some kind I think), prices are "thrift"! Not far from the Woodstock line on Rt 212 in Saugerties, Ray's Retro has heaps of 50s, 60s, 70s vintage clothes, bags and jewelry, etc- plus you're guaranteed to find the perfect vintage piece with your name on it! My daughter says I like wearing "loud" things. While I don't disagree, I love adding just a piece that pops to my minimalist look and Rayann's met me there. From the Gong bell entrance to what's inside, every corner here has something for you...that's of course- if you're into this kinda thing. And in the words of one of my favorite artists, "I'm gonna pop some tags. Only got twenty dollars in my pocket. I'm, I'm, I'm hunting, lookin for a come-up- This is f*cking awesome".

There are unique objects and home decor from furniture to wood carvings to corals - beautiful, well-chosen stuff! The art gallery is one-of-a-kind. The space is in more than one room, and the artists shown are first-rate fine artists. It's really nice to see art along with all the other objects.

The store is messy, too packed with carelessly arranged furniture to even navigate your way through the store, much less the upper & lower levels. I have seen the same pieces on display there for the last two years - the proprietor needs lower prices and refresh his inventory. Like so many other shops in Saugerties, this has potential but doesn't live up to it. Clean up your act, Green. Move out the old stuff, organize your wares in an appealing manner and then maybe I'll be back, and recommend you to others.
