The folks at Furniture Plus are the best, knowledgeable, and friendly. There is a large selection at this store. For specialty items you may need to look on-line, they are available, but most items are well represented. In fact, the person couldn't even be bothered to look up or get up. Lots of over priced stuff. But we were on a weekend get away and buying up art and items for our apartment in Manhattan. Those chairs are very valuable!" It was quite off putting, especially because my husband was literally looking at her with no interest in the furniture, no food or drinks in her hands, not acting rambunctiously, just sitting on a, again, not-cordoned-off chair. No signs that say, "do not touch", "do not sit", or anything. I'm pretty sure if I sat there, it would've been fine and I'm 4 times her weight. After telling off my kid, he went back to ignoring us by the register, not looking up from whatever he was reading. I lost interest in the cases, accessories, and furniture. Dogs on leashes were in the store (no complaint from me; love me some doggoes) and no one was chasing after them to not touch the furniture. Whatever bad experiences they've had with other children is no excuse to embarrass my child or make her feel like she did anything wrong, and yes, the tone clearly made her feel that way despite us cooly, and quietly leaving.

That sweet tie dye dress in the window? MINE! There was also a super cool leather woven bag in the window, too. Maybe next time. Melinda (I hope I got her name right?) the owner is dripping with style and great taste. She looks like a fashion designer. Good news: you too can look like Melinda, because her racks are filled with tons of dresses, tops, pants and skirts...natural fabrics and so pretty. She also has eye wear...like REALLY COOL eye wear. Awesome home wares, too. And I bought a super special candle that will always bring me back to Hudson when I light it. Smells like fancy pine. Also! Everything in there feels fancy, but it's affordable. Looking forward to seeing what she has for me next time.

My husband became very attached to a $38,000 taxidermy giraffe--you just never know what you'll find! Personally, I loved the large collection of vintage clothing. Definitely a great spot to check out if you need a little wardrobe refresh. The only thing I don't love is the lack of cell service. I was on SOS and had to leave to call my husband because we got separated and there was no hope of finding each other in this huge warehouse.
