History
Established in 2018.
In 1811, Chatham NY's oldest building was erected, later called "Groat's Tavern," where President Martin Van Buren was a frequent patron. What better location to have an antique shop, including furniture, collectibles, antique toys, crocks, primitives, home decor, and jewelry crafted from vintage silverware. Launching a new area in April 2022, "Groat's Corners Marketplace"--a year-round tag sale of affordable items. Something for everyone's budget.
Meet the Business Owner: Frances and Jeanne V.
After 50 years of collecting all varieties of antiques, Frances and her daughter, Jeanne, opened the largest antique smorgasbord of treasures in Chatham's history. In 2012, Frances was even on American Pickers' "Ladies Know Best" episode! No snobby owners here. We like to have fun, so stop in, chat us up, and be prepared for a few laughs. We love what we do, and we know you'll love our store, too! NOTE: Closed January.
