There are bargains to be had at the Goodwill on Coulee. I wouldn't say bargain basement, but if you…read moredig, you can find a hidden treasure or two. There are racks and racks and even more racks of clothes. Everything from Halloween costumes to suits worthy of being buried in (I guess those two are related). The deals are scary good. I was rummaging around and found numerous items that had to leave the store with me. Did I need them? No, not really, but I wasn't going to let those beauties be found by someone else. I did the digging, so I'll reap the reward. Even if the reward is just a laugh or two. Case in point. I found an absurdly colored stuffed animal. Molly dog loves stuffed animals. She loves to gut the things. She'll work on it until she's laying in their stuffing bowels. It's hilarious to watch as she delicately coaxes out the insides by violently shaking the victim until the fluff flies. Then she'll roll in it and settle down for a nap in it's remnants. A conquering dream in her slumber, while the animal carcass is secreted away during her sleep. All that fun for like two bucks! If that's not enough to make you want to jump in your car and pay a visit, how about this. One of the prizes that I was eyeing was a camp lantern. I passed by to check the price on another item, and when I turned back another guy had picked it up to examine. It was a gem for sure. I patiently stood by waiting for him to put it down. In my mind I was thinking "he really doesn't want this, he doesn't look like he goes camping." All the while my adversary was probably thinking "I don't want this but I'm sure not going to let this guy looking over my shoulder get his hands on it!" as he placed it in his basket. Oh well, he found his treasure. All's fair in love and war, and especially in treasure hunting. I mean, it's not like it was something from the Spanish galleon Atocha. Hmmmm I wonder if that guy was Mel Fishers son. Quick Tip: Though the Goodwill store is on Coulee road, you won't have to cross a ravine to get there. Just a long parking lot that it shares with Target. Beause of course you went to Target first. Everybody goes to Target first.

Wish they ran that sale for a full week or at least a few days.

So that you know what Majestic Hills is, this is from their facebook page:…read more "Majestic Hills Ranch was founded in 1997 to provide low cost therapeutic riding services and other animal assisted therapies to children and young adults with special needs and to Veterans in rehabilitation with our "Heroes on Horseback" program. Majestic Hills Ranch now serves children and young adults with special needs and Veterans in rehabilitation with our "Heroes on Horseback" program." My son Christopher has a variety of special needs - Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Severe Developmental Delay. Christopher has been coming to Majestic Hills for therapeutic horseback riding for 2 years now. It is amazing the response he has with the horses! The riding helps him with his balance, self control and appropriate behavior as well as developing and enhancing skills at following directions. The sensory stimulus is fantastic with the sights, sounds, movements and yes, even smells (these are horses after all) and they really get Christopher focused. The staff is plentiful, friendly, professional, gentle yet firm and are always attentive to the safety and the needs of the kids. They provide everything that your special needs child will need for the rides - even a helmet. After the riding activities, the children learn some responsibilities such as putting their helmets away in the appropriate place, getting a treat pan (bowl) for the horse that they have ridden and feeding the horse that they have ridden treats. I would HIGHLY recommend Majestic Hills Ranch to anyone with a special needs child.
