Um...WHOA?! I've…read moreheard about this store from friends before, but thought it was just a fancy menswear store. Well boy, was I wrong. I stopped in a few days before Christmas, and I actually had a few things yet I wanted to get my grandpa, so this worked out great. At the entrance - and throughout the store - I found free hot coffee, tea, refreshments, cookies, and treats. Maybe it's just a holiday thing but I loved the hospitality. The space is HUGE - so much more than clothes! I had no idea. They have: - books and coffee table books - a whole room dedicated to perfume/cologne and scents - a whole area for cocktail-related gifts - home decor, tableware, and interior decor items - kitschy smaller giftables that were organized by theme (work/office, hosting, etc.) - menswear and womenswear - jewelry - candles - and so much more! I genuinely believe you can walk in here and be sure to find something for anyone on your gifting list. The service was incredible: lots of welcomes and greetings, and staff there to help you if you need it. Oh, they even have a room you can reserve while shopping?! FANCY!

I am part of a large, semi-formal wedding in Atlanta. The function is laden with "pomp and…read morecircumstance" that might give me hives. However, a close friend is diving in for his third, and I applaud his happiness. I won't wear a tuxedo, but I needed to have a suit made that would make the bride and the 400 attendees comfortable. The bride already told me not to don a fedora or pink sneakers, although I wanted to. Todd Fliginger at Martin Patrick took me under his wing. Todd is amazingly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. He sent swatches to Milwaukee before we moved to Minneapolis. Tailors were brought in, especially the master tailor Robert, not only to measure, but also to have me try on different designers' pieces to see what would fit well. I am a difficult fit, with a body more like a penguin than a human. That's what a custom tailor in NYC told me. However, I don't nosh on Krill. Todd and Robert took hours to get a correct fit and guaranteed that I would look good. Todd even saved me several hundred dollars off the original quote. ADDENDUM: My suit arrived, and it looked amazing. A few alterations are required to ensure a perfect fit, but that's it. I had a suit made on Savile Row in London that cost more than three times this suit's price, and it did not fit as well. This store should be on every list of Minneapolis's sightseeing highlights. It is akin to a design museum. Everything at Martin Patrick--furniture and furnishings--is for sale, and they're all amazing! Martin Patrick 3 is down-to-earth sophistication, with a NYC or Parisian vibe. Yet, the staff is Midwest empathetic. It is a Minneapolis treasure, as is Todd. I might not be looking forward to this wedding, but at least I know I will look my best.

After reading all the bad reviews I was a bit hesitant in shopping here…read more I've gotta say I received some of the best customer service today at the Rosedale location. I wanted a nice jacket for an upcoming Summer wedding.I was seriously stressing as I've not stopped for a new jacket or suit for about 10 years. I was greeted by 2 people as I entered the store. The one gentleman was heading out for a late lunch and introduced me to Keinan. Keenan asked me a couple questions and took a quick measurement. He helped me pick out a great jacket and a couple of shirts to complement the jacket. Keenan could have up sold me on higher priced jackets, but he showed me why he thought my choice was a better fit for the summer ocasion. It wound up the jacket was on sale, as was one of thedress shirts.

I normally don't leave reviews this lengthy, but after everything that happened, I feel like our experience needs to be addressed--especially because we were spending our money here and expected to be treated like valued customers. From the beginning, the entire process was unorganized and frustrating. We were charged a rush fee, yet all of our items still did not arrive on time, and some of the items we received were not even correct. If a customer is being charged an additional fee specifically because an order needs to be rushed, I don't understand how that fee is justified when the store does not actually deliver the complete and correct order within the promised timeframe. On top of that, once the items finally came in, there was barely even enough time for everything to be properly tried on and checked before it was needed. That defeats the entire purpose of going to a store that specializes in formalwear and fittings. We trusted that the measurements, ordering, timing, and final products would all be handled professionally, especially after paying the additional rush fee. Another issue was the pricing. Throughout this process, we were quoted multiple different prices, which made an already stressful experience even more confusing. When you are purchasing and renting formalwear for multiple people, you should be able to clearly understand what you are being charged and why. The price should not seem to change depending on which employee you speak with. Unfortunately, the customer service was also very inconsistent. When my son returned to the store, one of the female employees was extremely rude and dismissive toward him. He felt as though what he was saying wasn't worth listening to and that she had very little respect for him as a customer. Regardless of someone's age, if they walk into your business with a concern regarding something they paid for, they deserve to be listened to and spoken to respectfully. My son should not have walked away feeling like his concerns did not matter. During another visit, there was a larger white male employee who I believe may have been a manager. His attitude toward us was not welcoming or friendly either. The way he communicated made us feel more like we were inconveniencing him than paying customers who needed assistance. What bothered me even more was watching how he interacted with one of the younger employees, Chrison. Chrison explained to us that he was a high school student and happened to attend the same high school as my sons. He was completely willing to help us with measurements and everything else he knew how to do. However, he was honest that he was not completely confident entering everything into the computer and preferred to have his manager assist him with that portion. I actually respected that. I would much rather have a young employee be honest about what he is comfortable doing and ask someone with more experience for help than pretend to know something and possibly make a mistake with a customer's order. Instead of supporting him, the manager's response and attitude came across to me as if he was irritated that Chrison needed assistance at all. There was also an issue surrounding Chrison needing to use the restroom, and again, the manager's attitude toward him made me uncomfortable. From my perspective as a customer watching the interaction, it did not come across as supportive or professional.
